Hello everyone, Renee Young here at CWF Headquarters! Today, we're here to show appreciation to Matt Gennison. He has been the face of CWF for many years now, and at WrestleMania he plans on climbing his way back to the top, so today, I'm going to educate you all on EVERY Matt Gennison title match and title defense in CWF!
In 2018, Matt Gennison won the CWF Championship in a Elimination Chamber match defeating Chris Jericho, Ryback who was the champion, Abyss, Samoa Joe and Jeff Hardy! This iconic title win would solidify the start of the beginning.

Matt Gennison's first title defense would be against Aleks Mason, who had came over from TNW:R to CWF in pursuits of his long lost rival, but alas, Matt would prevail!

Matt's second title defense, and probably his most difficult one yet would be against The Monster Abyss. Knowing The Monster was impossible to pin, a TLC match type would come into play with the title suspended high above the ring. In his toughest challenge yet, Matt Gennison would over come his fears and defeat Abyss!

Drew McIntyre would win a fatal 4 way number contenders match to challenge Matt Gennison at No Way Out, where the two would set out to do battle. This would be Matt's first challenge facing a bigger competitor in a pinfall setting, and Matt would continue to prove why he was the face of CWF, and the CWF Champion.

TNW:R would come back with their first episode of Monday Night RAW and Matt Gennison would return there to challenge Aleks Mason to a winner take all match at CWF's biggest show of the year, in a winner take all match for the CWF Championship, TNW:R Championship and TNW:R Universal Championship. Since this was Aleks Mason's rematch, he would have Matt's number in probably the closest match of all time, but in the end all it took was a prayer, a miracle and a rainmaker to put Aleks Mason away for the three count, and closing out WrestleMania with the BIGGEST win of all time, with Matt holding 3 titles at once!

CWF would hold "The Greatest Survivor Series" Pay-Per-View event, in which Matt Gennison would defend the TNW:R Universal Championship for the first time ever against Daniel Bryan. 5 Star classic!

At Taboo Tuesday one month later, Matt Gennison would defend the CWF Championship against a man he's never beaten before, Roman Reigns. The fans would vote for a Ladder Match, and with the title held high above the ring, Matt Gennison would neutralize Roman, and retain to live another day!

One month later, CWF would hold an event in Japan where for the first time in years, the owner of TNW:R CM Punk would appear in CWF to take on Matt Gennison for the TNW:R Undisputed Championships! Punks last match ever would be him failing to capture the titles, and losing to the man who idolized him coming into this business.

8 days after, CWF's Summerslam would be underway, where the odds were against Matt Gennison. He would take on Kurt Angle and the Undertaker in a Triple Threat Match for the CWF Championship. This would be the end of Matt's CWF Championship reign, and ending his undefeated winning streak by the hands of the Undertaker!

Matt Gennison would step into a different field a couple months later after returning to CWF, where he would take on John Cena for the U.S. Championship at Backlash! with John no showing due to flight delay, Sami Zayn would be a fill in opponent where the two would wrestle a classic!

This upcoming WrestleMania, everything will be on the line! Matt Gennison is looking to win the CWF World Heavyweight Championship for the first time in his career, while putting the TNW:R Undisputed Championships on the line!
