~Orion Michael De La Cruz~

The next morning Orion slipped his hands under the blankets. He slide his hand over her warm skin. Enjoying exploring her as she slept. A devilish smile on his face, he woke Grace up to have his way with her once more before he went about his day.

He showered, dressed and prepared for his Aunt's funeral. He knew he would always miss her, but now she was at peace. It meant he no longer had to keep her secret. That was good because he wasn't sure how much longer they could hide it from Cadence.

Once dressed he hopped on his bike. He did not need or want Grace with him at the funeral. If his family was going to spew their hatred for him, he didn't not want her there. Did not want her getting involved, he knew her well enough to know she would jump to his defense. She didn't need too. He could take whatever his family dished out.

The funeral was beautiful and dignified. Orion was surprised that Elias sat with him. He admired his niece and nephew from afar, it was hard to be around them right now. He was happy to see that Elias was in a good place in life. He couldn't help but look around and feel a bit surprised, angry and concerned. Cadence had not shown up to the service, at the cemetery she didn't show up either.

After the service Orion immediately got on his phone. He wanted to know where she was. Something must have happened for her not to be at the funeral. He called Titus and told him to pass along the message. He wanted eyes on Cadie.

Elias approached Orion alone. He cleared his throat and stuffed his hands in his pockets. Orion turned to look at his younger brother.
"She was at her apartment last night when I left." Orion frowned.
"You saw her last night? What time?"
"Uh....Like 9 ish. I left the apartment. Her music was still on when I left. She probably just couldn't handle another funeral."
"Yeah. Probably." Orion turned and walked away. He didn't believe that in the least, he would go to her apartment and confront her himself.

By the time Grace had actually woken up and was out of bed, Orion was nowhere to be found. For a few seconds she was confused, and wandered around her house looking to see if there were any indications of where he might have gone. Though, when she saw her black dress on the floor, she immediately remembered. He had left to his aunts funeral without her, and it kind of stung. Did he not want here there? Was he attempting to hide her from his family?
She started to clean, mostly because she was a bit angry at his actions. She had wanted to be there for him and show her support.
After maybe half an hour the place was clean, and she had gotten dressed in a maroon colored dress, some heels and her hair was braided over her shoulder. Grace needed to go and get herself a new phone, and then make a few phone calls and schedule appointments. So, she left a hand-written note for Orion, stating that she would be out and about, and not to worry.

She was amused that Dereck wanted to order a pizza from each place. Certainly the two offered very different types of pizzas. So one from each, would certainly do.Her eyes glanced down at his next words. Yes he was right to not keep hashing at it. Lyn knew Dereck wouldn't harm her. He never had. She had no doubt he would wait for her to be ready. And yet she couldn't help but feel she would push herself after a time. Lyn knew he had needs, hell she had needs. Those would resurface sooner or later. Her head nodded in reply, and let him take the two menus from her hand before stepping out of her door to order.

Her blue eyes looked around her place. It seemed so much emptier and colder without him in it. She shrugged her shoulders, wincing lightly before grabbing her own beer from the fridge. She took her first sip after using the bottle opener in the drawer. With her second sip, Lyn took one of the pain pills she had placed in a drawer in the kitchen from the hospital the other night. Something to take the edge off.

As she waited for him to return, Lyn crossed back into the living room with her beer in hand and took out the DVD, replacing it into the case. She then to turn up the thermostat a couple degrees. Then she moved back to the couch and sat, bringing the beer back to her lips. Her mind thought about everything else that had happened during the day, and her thoughts crossed to what Dereck had said about his sister. She was pregnant! With the first child from either of them. Quickly she grabbed the laptop that was sitting on the floor on the side of the couch, and pulled up Carters. She'd get something to send to the other woman from her brother. Something should be celebrated anyway.

Orion was headed over to the apartments. He had not even gone a block before his phone went off. He saw it was Black calling him, so he pulled over and answered. He was informed Cadence would be gone for a few days. A emergency had arisen and she had to go. Black would not give any more answers or details, so Orion hung up frustrated. He returned to Grace's house pissed off.

Once he arrived at Grace's house he found her note. He read it, crumpled it up and tossed it in the trash. He went into the kitchen and searched for the Menus. He was hungry and felt like he and Grace needed food delivered to them. When she returned she would eat with him, and his good mood would return. With her around, how could it not?!

Jasper watched as everyone left the clubhouse, or moved to other areas of the main room, even up to their own rooms to continue their own parties. As they all did, Jasper left the main area too. Bringing a couple bottles upstairs with him to his room. Closing the door behind him quickly.

When he woke in the morning, his head was a muddled mess. Jasper groaned, sitting up slowly before moving into the bathroom to shower. Once he was dressed again, Jasp moved slowly down the stairs and into the kitchen, where he put the coffee on to brew. His form leaned against the counter, his head in his hands as he waited for the coffee to finish. Before it did he heard a familiar voice. His head snapped up and there was Black. Looking good for this early in the morning "Morn'n Black. You're up early." ' '

While outside making the order's for the pizza, Dereck lit a cigarette, and leaned against the railing. His eyes wandered around the area, and it was when he got a phone call that he raised his eyebrows. It had been Nate, who informed him that Tommy had indeed died the night before, and they needed to go somewhere to cut up the body and figure out a way to dispose of it. Dereck had an idea of who could possibly help them, and he quickly finished off his cigarette before quickly walking inside of the apartment. When he caught sight of the red mound of hair sitting at the couch, he walked up behind Lyn and kissed the back of her head. "I have a favor to ask of you..." His head rested next to her own, eyebrow raised at the sight of her being on a website for baby clothes. "They boys need to borrow your operating room at the clinic...for the night. They will have it cleaned up and in perfect condition come morning." He rounded the couch, planting himself next to her. "Nate will be right by for the keys." His arm slung over her shoulders, and he cleared his throat. "Now, I really wanna know what you are doing by looking at that website. Because if you are pregnant, it ain't mine." He was teasing, and chuckled lightly.

It's not that he did not want to have kids with Lyn, because he did, just not right now. Not with everything that has happened, and the fact that they are still fairly new in their relationship. He wanted time to enjoy her, and enjoy being with her before having to worry about bringing another life into the world.

After a few hours, Grace had a brand new phone, some groceries for her house, and an appointment for the baby in a few weeks. Grace pulled back up into her driveway, and slung a few of the grocery bags over her arm, before walking inside. She had not noticed that Orion's bike was back in the driveway, however when she got inside she caught sight of him sitting around. With her phone and purse sitting on the counter, she unloaded the groceries into the cabinet and fridge, popping a few grapes in her mouth as she did so.
Grace was not nearly as annoyed by the funeral situation as she had been, but still wanted to make it known that she was hurt by it. "Didn't know that you were gonna up and leave me here while you went to the funeral. If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were embarrassed to have me around your family." Her voice was a light and teasing tone, and she stuck her head around the corner, looking towards where he was standing.

Black grinned at Jasper and clapped him on the back. "Have to stay in shape...fight coming up. Lot of money riding on it." He looked Jasper over.
"Things will get better. I am sure of it, just hang in there." He felt bad for Jasper but he knew the last thing Jasper wanted was some touchy feely moment with another dude.
"Maybe you need a companion to keep your mind off of stuff. I know many beautiful women. What's your poison? Blondes? Red heads? Brunettes? Big breasts? Little breasts?" Black wasn't into relationships, or feelings really. Emotionally bonding with a female just was not something he had ever done. His career was his main focus, then the Club. There was no room for anything else demanding in his life.
"I think your in need of a woman's healing touch, but none of the headache relationships bring."

~Orion Michael De La Cruz~

He was sitting on the couch, eating the food he had decided to go out and buy. Nothing in the Menus had caught his eye so he went and got food. A bucket of friend spicy chicken, mashed potatoes, rice, bans, biscuits and mac and cheese. He had a plate on his lap and was watching the show '1000 Ways to Die'. Orion lowered the television.

He leaned forward and set his plate down on the coffee table. He glanced in her direction and wanted to snap at her. Why would he be embarrassed by her?! She was a sexy blonde Nurse, that could hold her own in any conversation.
"I'm embarrassed of my family....ever think of that?" He stood up and walked over to her. He grabbed her hand and pulled her into the living room.
"Food time. I was thinking we should really take that vacation after all." He went back to the kitchen to get her a plate and load it up with food.

He returned and handed her the plate piled high with food. He walked around the coffee table and sat beside her. He looked her over a moment, and then brushed his hand down her back.
"I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings Grace. I didn't want you getting involved if they started to act like assholes. Your pregnant and don't need the stress or drama. So I felt like it was best for you to stay here." She was smart, she would see it his way. She needed to be relaxing and calm.

When the door opened again, Lyn didn't turn around to see who it was. It couldn't be anyone other than Dereck. That thought was confirmed when he kissed her head lightly, and his voice entered her ears. She turned her head to him as he rested near her own."Mm'hmm. What you need you, hun?"She was curious to know what kind of favor he would need from her. Especially now. Hopefully nothing had happened again.

Her gaze watched him as he rounded the couch and took a seat next to her. Her brows furrowed in puzzlement as to why they needed the clinic. And as much as she wanted to ask why, Lyn also had a feeling she didn't want to know. Her head bobbed up and down,
"Sure. It's the purple ringed one on the counter."Lyn kept one key ring, so all the keys were colored marked. Her ethical code may not agree with passing out keys, but no one should be at the clinic the rest of the night. So nothing should go wrong. And Dereck she trusted. If he said they would take care of the place, then she believed it.

Lyn's body leaned lightly against Dereck as his arm fell around her shoulders. At his next comment her eyes looked back to the screen. She pointed at it innocently,
"This? Gotta pick up a few things."She joked, giving him a playful wink. Kids. Did she want them? Of course. This early in her life or career? No. Not yet. With the man sitting next to her? Her eyes glanced over his form next to her. Yes, she could see herself settling down with him and having kids. If he ever did that that was. She couldn't see herself ever getting bored with Dereck, or not wanting to be with him. So perhaps one day, but even right now she wasn't sure who's the kid would be. With a quick laugh she shook her head,"No your sister is pregnant. Gotta get her something. There's no time to early for you to start spoiling whatever niece or nephew pops out."

The smell of food was in her nose, and she closed her eyes for a moment. It smelled delicious, actually. Once everything was put away, she heard Orion's retort, and she rolled her eyes. He had nothing to be embarrassed about. She was grabbing herself a sparkling water from the fridge when she felt him take hold of her hand, pulling her along into the living room, announcing that it was time to eat. Because she had been so busy with her errands, she had not eaten anything all day. Her stomach was actually growling at the scent of the food. "Okay...um, where were you thinking of going?" Her hands rested in her lap, and she watched him move about, filling her plate with entirely too much food. She started by taking a bite of the mac-n-cheese, then tilted her head to the side as he apologized. There was no need, really. She trusted that he made decisions based on what was good for everyone.

Shaking her head, Grace set her plate down on the coffee table, and offered Orion a smile. "I was teasing. I am sure you had your reasons. Plus, you're right. Stress isn't good for the baby, especially after all the stress I have been through already...." She dropped her eyes to the plate of food. The stress we have been through." She had not been the only one that had been stressed out. He had his own reasons and things to stress over as well. She continued to eat, and was only able to finish the mac-n-cheese and mashed potatoes before getting pretty full. She relaxed into the couch, letting out a small sigh. "I have another ultrasound in a few weeks. That is the one where we will find out the gender." She made sure to speak calmly, not wanting to upset him. If he did not want to attend, then she wouldn't push him. He was still healing from the loss of his child, and he would probably never heal from it. So, she did not want to push him to do anything more for this child than he wanted to.

Dereck was pleased to hear that she trusted him enough to use her clinic. He would have used his auto shop, had it not been destroyed. It would take a few months to get it rebuilt and their business back up and running, so for now he would have to use the favors people in the town owned them. Which were many. Mostly because he and his men offered protection to a bunch of businesses. In return, the people of Greensville offered their services and things to the Reapers for free. Dereck nuzzled into Lyn's neck, the smile never leaving his face. "For the first time, ever. I owe someone else a favor. Thanks, babe." He kissed her neck gently and got up from the couch, just in time to meet Nate at the door with the keys to the clinic. They would wait until nightfall to go and conduct their business, because the less people saw the better.

Dereck returned to his place on the couch, and at the mention of spoiling his niece or nephew, he chuckled. Despite the fact that the child belonged to Orion, Dereck would always see it as a Thompson, and not a De La Cruz. Dereck was stubborn as hell, and it most certainly showed. He groaned and rubbed his head for a few seconds, glancing sideways at Lyn. "You know, without you I would seem like a big a*****e. I haven't even thought about getting her anything for the baby." Dereck felt a little bad about letting his vendetta with Orion get in the way of him being an uncle.

Jasper shook his head. The coffee finally stopped trickling. He grabbed a throw away mug, and poured coffee into it. "I'm sure you know beautiful women. Not gonna deny that. But I'm not sure if that's gonna help anything."Sure Cadence had told him she never wanted to see him again just a day ago. And well last night, hadn't she said she couldn't see him? He didn't know what was happening between them. She had lost the baby. Had that all that had kept them together? Jasper didn't want to believe that. And even if he missed those carefree days, he wasn't willing to sacrifice anything. Plus he didn't know what state of mind he was in currently.' '

A smile came to her face as he nuzzled against her neck. His breath against her neck before that kiss send shivers down her spine. The good kind certainly. "You don't owe me anything at all."Lyn replied as he got up to hand the keys to Nate, who was automatically at the door. Sometimes their speedy fast speed was amazing.

As soon as Dereck had left the couch, the red head had gone back to her online shopping. In her cart she had a couple regular toys, a bath toy, and a plain set of onesies. When she ad worked at the daycare in college, it had been obvious you couldn't have enough of those no matter the gender. At another time, she'd have to go through Barnes'n'Noble or something for books for it. Maybe for the shower, a tradition they even had to do here among everything.

Before checking out, she turned the screen so he could see what she had gotten. Lyn shook her head,
"Grace knows you've been busy. And what else a I here for. But what you think?"

~Orion Michael De La Cruz~

Orion was back to watching tv. He was not channeling surfing, trying to find something to watch. He stopped the tv on a channel that was showing a woman decorating a cake. He watched in silence a few moments.
"Anywhere that isn't the Creek or Greensville will do Grace." He went silent again.

He appeared really into the cake show. He glanced over at Grace again when she started to speak. He looked away when she mentioned another ultrasound. He really wanted to go, but he felt like it was to soon. He wasn't sure he could handle if the doctor were to state the baby was another girl.
"I will try to go." He ket his voice even, and his face unreadable. He knew he had to make the effort for Grace. It wasn't fair to punish her for things that she had no control over. She had not killed his daughter. She was suffering as well.
"I was thinking....this isn't how I had wanted to do it. It seems like it is obvious that we should. It is up to up though...I was thinking we should really consider getting married. I'm not in the market for another lady, and can't imagine ever wanting to be."
