Never Again...





Herald nodded to Emma before turning back to face The Reaver. "You never should have come here." "Guess not." Herald took one step forward and threw a massive punch straight towards The Reaver. The Reaver raised his hand up suddenly, catching the fist with it. There was an explosion of force that tore apart the ground between them but The Reaver was standing firm, a small grin on his face. Herald's eyes widened in surprise. He hadn't used a full-powered punch, but it had been a considerable blow, enough to knock almost anyone flat on their back. The Reaver let go of Herald's fist and took a step backwards. He raised his arm and threw a punch towards Herald. Herald raised his arm and blocked it but there was another explosion of force that tore up the ground between them. Herald stood firm as well, but he got the message; he wasn't messing with someone he could go halfway with.

Herald launched himself up in the air and took a deep breath, shooting down a stream of fireballs at The Reaver. The Reaver began running along the ground, dodging left and right as the fireballs missed him. Once the fireballs had missed he launched himself up in the air. "Soulwave Hyper!" He yelled. Immediately he began to glow with a red aura. Herald rushed forward towards The Reaver and the two exchanged a flurry of blows, the red and green energy swirling together in a whirlwind. The Reaver was clearly getting the worst end of it, being forced back as blow after blow landed on him. Herald delivered one final blow on The Reaver, sending him slamming down into the ground. Herald landed on the ground not far away, slowly walking towards The Reaver, obviously thinking the fight was going greatly in his favor. Suddenly there was an explosion of red soul wavelength. The Reaver emerged from the hole, but he was different.



The Reaver stepped out of the hole, red flames whirling around him much like Herald. But his wavelength was much stronger than before. It was astronomical in fact. It was obvious that even Herald was outclassed. Herald stopped in his tracks as The Reaver stepped forward, burning the flowers and grass of Herald's realm under his feet to ash with each step. The heat was almost unbearable. The Reaver took one step forward and rushed forward in a streak of red fire that was almost too fast to follow with the naked eye. His fiery fist slammed straight into Herald's stomach and sent the massive beast flying backwards and into the ground, carving a massive crater as he slid. The Reaver was on him almost immediately, lifting him up out of the crater with one arm. Herald's vision was blurry, but it was clear enough to see The Reaver's uppercut before it slammed into his chin knocking him straight up into the air and turning him over. He landed on his head a few feet away. Herald quickly got to his feet as The Reaver let out a deep, guttural laugh. It was Herald's turn to rush forward as he threw a punch towards The Reaver. The Reaver took it full to the stomach and bent over slightly. But that was the only sign of damage. Then The Reaver reached back with his hand, turning the back of his hand to face Herald. He swung it forward, backhanding Herald straight across the face just as Herald had done to Atticus earlier. Herald slammed to the ground, letting out a bark of pain as he did so. The Reaver stood over him, grinning. His eyes still glinting in the red and green fire.

Herald and The Reaver both looked at Emma when they heard her and Herald took the opportunity to pull himself to his feet. He spat a fireball straight into The Reaver's face as soon as he looked back at him. The Reaver's head turned sideways from the blast. But he slowly turned back to Herald, not seeming too worse for the wear. The Reaver took a deep breath and fired a red fireball straight back into Herald's face, causing him to stumble backwards. The Reaver took the opportunity to jump and few feet in the air and spin, lashing out to kick Herald in the face. Herald was slammed straight into the ground again. If Herald had been at full strength, he would have been doing better against The Reaver, but while the spirits had been able to heal his wounds, they hadn't had the energy to give back more than a fraction of his strength. But even if Herald was at full strength, the winner of the battle would still be clear. Herald tried to get up again, but The Reaver pulled his leg back and slammed his paw into Herald's side, sending him rolling to the ground again.

Herald was bleeding from his mouth as The Reaver let him get up. The Reaver glanced back at Emma, giving her a small grin as if he was showing off just for her and knew she was impressed by it. He looked back to Herald. Herald growled angrily and took a deep breath, breathing a stream of green flames towards The Reaver. The Reaver held up both paws and the flames washed over him, burning him across his body. When Herald finally stopped the flames The Reaver was still standing there, smoke curling from his body. In a streak of red fire he reached Herald, quickly punching Herald in the stomach twice before kneeing him in the chin and spinning to elbow him in the side of the head causing him to stumble sideways. Herald recovered quickly and punched The Reaver in the chin before delivering an uppercut to him with his other arm. The Reaver took one step backwards and Herald took the opportunity to headbutt him. The Reaver shook his head, slightly dizzy. When Herald threw another punch The Reaver reached up and caught it by the wrist. He slowly began lowering Herald's arm despite Herald's resistance, overpowering him with physical strength. Herald used his other arm to throw a punch which The Reaver ducked. He punched Herald in the stomach, forcing him to his knees.

The Reaver walked towards Herald and Herald attempted a surprise attack, quickly getting up and slamming his shoulder into The Reaver's chest. The Reaver stumbled backwards and took a swing at Herald which he ducked. Herald lashed out, kicking The Reaver in the chest again and pushing him further back. Herald shot a few more fireballs into The Reaver's face. It seemed like he had gained the upper-hand, but only for a moment. As he moved in for another attack, The Reaver spun and ducked, punching Herald hard in his side before punching him again in the chin. Herald stumbled and The Reaver leaned forward, slamming his elbow into the back of Herald's head and forcing him to his knees again. The Reaver quickly grabbed Herald by the throat and began to choke him. Herald struggled, tearing apart the ground with his claws as he tried to stand up again. He took several swings at The Reaver again and tried to pull The Reaver's hands apart but nothing seemed to work. After several moments Herald's struggles began to weaken slightly as he could no longer breathe.

The Reaver turned with abnormal speed, still holding The Reaver as he put him between himself and Emma. Instead of hitting The Reaver, Emma's blade slammed through Herald's back and out through his chest, causing him to choke in pain as blood began to spill from the wound. The Reaver laughed loudly, his deep voice booming across the realm. Herald was continuing to choke, his struggles even weaker now due to his injury.

Never Again...






The Reaver looked at Emma as Herald continued to weaken. "Why should I?" He asked, his voice deep and booming but not smooth or calm like Herald's. "If you want him back, you'll have to do something for me."

Never Again...






The Reaver grinned though his grip on Herald was still tight. "First, turn back to your normal form," he told her as Herald's grip began to slip off The Reaver's arms.
