Donner blinked, some of his bravado lost at Maximos' sudden enlightening words. Rae wasn't here. "Well, of course..." He said, before a red-headed beauty was suddenly introduced into the mix - with select words to himself and Grace.
He sighed and took the words with a grain of salt, appearing a little hurt in the process. Yes, he had whisked her away in a very strange manner without warning. And yes, Grace shouldn't have put her to sleep. Nevertheless, Donner didn't like feeling like the bad-guy when all he'd tried to do was the right thing - especially when all Maximos had done was...well, allow them in. Donner had done all the hard work getting her here, fighting his own personal demons in the process...it seemed Maximos only had feelings when he permitted it.
Alas, the fickle manner of women. No man could ever understand them. Unless he used to be a she...but then, that was another story entirely.
Donner frowned and shook his head, trying to rid the bizarre thought from his head. He was not comfortable in this room, near the box, and her words did not ease his spirit.
He was beginning to think it was all a bad idea...that he should not have come to this place...

He likely should not have come here, and she had meant her words as a warning, not as a scolding.... Rae would not be taken lightly.
She was almost standing between the men now, and this close to them and turned her head a bit and smiled at John, the charm around her was almost infectious, and he would likely find it hard to feel bad or believe that she was really mad at him... In fact he would likely find it hard not to smile back at her.

Grace suddenly had to work to keep from laughing as she realised what the girl was doing... She had more than just regenerative capabilities apparently. The healer could tell that the girl was an empath now, not only could she sense the feelings of others, but she could project feelings back at them, and Grace could tell that right now she was projecting charm at the two men in the room. rofl
She wondered if the girl they remembered had always done that, at least on a subconscious level... People had likely thought that she was sweet and kind and always knew just the right thing to say to them. Grace wondered if this HonoRaven of theirs had found it hard to walk though others emotions all the time, just as Grace sometimes found it hard to walk though the clouds of pollution in this modern world... xp

While Maximos had the magical powers and visual acuity necessary to read Tomorrow's emotions, it really didnt take that to see what he was feeling. The Shadow was no an empath, or even empathic. As Tomorrow had correctly assumed, he only felt, when he wanted too.
But then again, thats why the two were opposites. Maximos offered a formal nod and a slight bow to Rae before rising and turning to Tomorrow.
Relax, Lady Rae has the right to be upset, while what you did was something HonoRaven might appreciate you have to accept that this both is and is not HonoRaven.
He turned to Rae.
My apologies for referring to you in the third as if your not there, but...
Smoothly he looked back at Tomorrow.
She has every right to be perturbed as you have every right to defend your, our, friend.
A smile returned to his face as he tried to overthrow the tense mood.
You did the right thing, John.
The box stirred twice, seemingly only when Tomorrow's thoughts fell on it, or his eyes rested on it. One could swear something as shuffling or moving inside the box, but Maximos entirely ignored it as if it wasnt there at all.
Now Rae, are you completely sure this is what you want to do? What you see here, and what awakens in you, you cannot simply unlearn.

"No, as a matter of fact, I am not!" Rae kept her smile in place as she looked back at Maximos, and she was still oozing charm...She reached out to lightly pat John on the arm in reassurance.
"What exactly are you planning on doing to me?" Rule number one.. never let anyone mix you up in unfamiliar magic unless you were certain that they knew what the hell they were doing! xp

Its quite simple actually.
Maximos said with a smile stepping into the runic array covering the ground of the lab.
Using this magic circle Tomorrow and I will be giving you our memories and using them to hopefully re-awaken some of your own.
He could see her concern before it was voiced or shown, it wasnt really hidden.
You wont have to be Hono Raven, but you would at least know her as we know her, and be able to decide for yourself what to do with what you gain.

Donner simply nodded to Rae and Maximos, no smile showing on his face. He was emotional - but this was a pressing matter, and no amount of empathy or reassurance could dissuade him at the moment.
He didn't feel better when he spied the box moving in the corner of his eye.
"...Its up to you, Rae. If anything...we'll show you just how wonderful Hono was...is."

Rae sighed to herself and tried to clear her mind... she had only met John a few hours ago, and this was the first time she had ever met Maximos.. at least as far as she knew xp . Yet they both wanted her to trust them, to let them show her who they thought she was.
This Hono lady certainly was important to the both of them....Rae was not sure if she wanted to be that important sweatdrop

Maximos said reassuringly.
Whether or not you choose to be the woman we know, you'll always be a friend, and welcome here. No pressure.
A few casual steps brought him to his circle opposite of Tomorrow.
If you could lay in this center square we can begin. I suggest laying, just in case you fall. Once your set, Tomorrow and I will begin. Simply relax and try to keep your mind open, just watch and enjoy yourself.

Relax.. that was almost funny as Rae moved to settle herself on the center square. She quickly balled her hair up at the back of her head as a makeshift pillow and tried not to think too much.
As long as she didn't end up in the void again, Rae was fairly sure that this was not going to be too hard on her xp

Maximos D just couldnt help but giggle. It was so close, and it was going to be so funny, and just thinking of Maximos' unseen reaction made him laugh. We knocks on d'door.He said trying not to blow his cover with chittering laughter. Thankfully the doors were impressively thick. 'Den when big brudda comes...He paused for a bit of suspense on that one, while still holding back laughter. ...we jump down and scer him! Rawr!He lifted his hands up, his teeth showing, his fingers bending inwards like little stubby, dirty claws. Like a little monster, being such a little monster just came so easy to him. He waited for Teira to show him understood before he gently placed his hands back on the door frame, bent over and prepared to knock. ----
Mimicking D, she curved her fingers into mock talons and using the wall as a springboard, she lept downwards at Maximos, letting out a fierce RAWR of attack. While D truly had the form, Teira was only a child in mentality. As such the ensuing result would be rather comical as Max had a fullgrown woman drop on him. And while she was an elf and light ihn build, it's not like she weighed nothing.
"KIYAAAAAA--OOMPH!!"
She went sprawling as she landed, giggling and rubbing sore spots in surprise.

Maximos looked at Tomorrow and nodded. A universal signal it was time to start, and then closed his eyes.
A gentle violet glow filled his circle, once Tomorrow began to concentrate it would fill his as well. Like two pools draining the glow would follow the lines beneath the two men across the entire array before finally settling on Rae's square. It poured inwards overtaking the square with a glow. She would feel slightly as if a calm gentle liquid was overtaking the small block and leaking through into her head.
For Rae, time would stop.
Her first memory, would be Maximos' as he started the spell. She would see the lovely buffet, the jewelry store, she would see herself healing his arm, even visiting the shop in the stadium, and watch as they conversed and went off on a walk. Next would come one of Tomorrow's memories. Rae would able to see these through her own eyes, she would be able to behold the way Hono acted, but also the way she thought and felt, or not. It was like an extremely interactive video. The amount of details she received would be based on how curious she was to receive it. The two men however had no commentary or sway over her display.
Nothing was rushed, everything was slow giving her time to watch every interaction both Maximos and Tomorrow had with Hono in its full. For her, it might seem like an hour, or two or three, when outside about 10 minutes had passed.
After both men's memories were displayed she would be able to feel that warm liquid branching out, like a tree rapidly growing. She would have seen Hono's hospital, now she would be flooded with some of Hono's memories regarding said hospital. Then her children, and so forth. Never did the memories seek to steal her away and make her this individual, rather it gave her a glimpse into who Hono was. After about an actual hour, she would be fully able to grasp any information she wanted. She need only think on a topic and be able to access memories regarding it, like tapping into some odd information bank.
How long this took depended solely on how curious she actually was, Maximos and Tomorrow would likely wait patiently, no matter how long it took.

Donner nodded back to Maximos and closed his eyes as well.
His own memories of Hono came to him as he waited, their first memory bringing a smile to his face. They had both been so different back then. Their little, flirtatious dance.
Then the dead feeling of Durem, interrupting Hono on a regular basis to selfishly receive medical assistance.
He waited patiently, and forced himself to concentrate. He'd stand here for days if he needed. He wished he'd had time to gather some more of her friends, so she could have more of an idea, a more various taste.

Grace had been quietly watching the flow of the spell from off to the side, content to simply wait until they were finished, after all she did not really know why she was here, Tomorrow had done nothing thus far that would warrant him needing her abilities....
She was relaxed despite the earlier intrusion of 'Andi and so when the next incursion came it caught her unawares! The Elf's eye went blank, and she shuffled forwards to place a hand withing the spelled square where Rae rested, touching the girl's leg and inserting herself into the spell.
So sorry gentlemen, but I must cut in at this point!... Verandi used Grace as a conduit for her own power, twisting the spell out of Maximos's control with pure force.
Maximos and tomorrow would find themselves torn away from the simple set up of the original spell, their minds drawn into Verandi's so that they had a sideline to watch what happened next without being able to interfere for a few moments at the least.

((*Jumps up and down* look what I did! Huge a** post!!! xd ))
Rae wandered through the memories, poking at all the details half because she wanted to know if they would fall apart under close scrutinization, and half because the blank part of her mind needed these things... The way that Hono never thought twice about helping either of these two daunting figures, the sad touch to her smile as she looked at the little wolf carving in the stone shop, the sparkle in here eyes as she danced with Tomorrow and knew exactly how much fun flirting could be!
In part she was like an outsider, but due to the nature of the spell she was Hono again for these moments and she actually knew it now!
"Ah, I was wondering if you were going to actually ask yourself that!" Verandi's voice broke in on the moment as the golden haired woman interrupted the spell. The scenes warped and shifted until the pair stood in the stadium. It was a frozen moment, banners hung all around the area, and the stands were still crowded with people very slowly making their way out of the area.
Rae could see herself, dressed in in a long oriental style dress, blue with gold edging around the collar and down the bust, it was sleeveless and had slits that went high enough up the leg that Rae thought for a moment that it actually went up over her hips and one should be able to see her panties xp ... it was just yet another sign that her fashion sense was twisted towards catching attention at all cost, the outfit was finished off with long opera gloves that went all the way up her arms and dance slippers in a matching blue.
She was standing beside a tall red headed man with long pointed ears who appeared to be quite the worse for wear, and was obviously more interested in a scuffle off to the side than in Hono, Rae wondered who he was, because she could see the concern in her own eyes as her double looked at the man.
"That..." 'Andi stepped out of nothing to stand beside Rae in the frozen moment, all pristine in another white business suit, a butter cup yellow vest on under the white jacket made you notice how her hair was not a regular shade of blond but closer to a true gold than any human color of yellow, and it was also apparent that the vest was meant to double as a shirt. "...Is Sunstrike... he is very important to Hono, for more than one reason, but he is also the reason why you are here now...."
"Who the hell are you lady?" Rae growled and actually reached for the blond, blinking as her hand passed right through the woman.
"So sorry.. call Me 'Andi dear!" whee Verandi smiled and bobbed her head in a bit of a bow before she went on, ignoring Rae's attempt at violence.
"See, I think you need to know how this moment ended, it will explain more to you than the memories that Tomorrow and Maximos wish to share with you!" She gestured towards Sun and Hono and the screen moved on almost in a fast forward state, the motions all happening faster than they had at the time, and the noise all in a high buzz that was completely indecipherable. "I am afraid that I must admit to being the reason why you are here right now, and also why you can not remember who you were..." sweatdrop
Rae watched as Sunstrike was attacked by a woman who came out of the stands, and saw herself off to the side looking horribly torn and indecisive, another pair of men fought off to the side with flames black as night that burned around them more like acid than normal fire. She saw Tomorrow there, talking to Hono for a few moments, before Rae watched herself eventually rush in to help Sunstrike with the woman, and actually kill her with no more than a single touch!
Rae wanted to scream, she wanted to cry, she wanted to shake 'Andi as part of her mind realised that she couldn't remember this moment because of what the blond had done to her, and then she watched as the two men off to the side were attacked by a third, the shorter being thrown away from the fight for a moment and Sunstrike going to him.
Sunstrike was immediately immersed in another fight with the unknown man, eventually knocking him out with a long staff. Rae watched herself head over to the pair and the moment slowed down so that she could hear Sunstrike ask Hono to help him, to take Silver where he belonged!
Rae watched with wide eyes as 'Andi slowed the moment down even more, the silver man and Hono disappearing in a cloud of sparkles... the screen changing to move with them until they reappeared on a desolate island that actually appeared to be floating in the sky!
"See, this is where this time line went so horribly wrong...There were other factors, but this was one that I thought was very out of place." There was actually a touch of remorse in Verandi's voice as they watched the tall form of Ezekiel materialise behind the still kneeling Hono and unconscious Silver Alexander.
Ezekiel's fist smashed down against the unprotected back of Hono's neck, and Rae jumped forwards as if she would help herself, save herself from the spine snapping blow that dropped the woman without her ever even having a chance to realise that she was in danger!
"You see, that is why I felt it was important to take away all those memories... Sunstrike played a very big part in your life, even if you only knew him for a few years! He helped to make you who you are, but he was the one who got you killed, and I do not know how you would survive knowing that and knowing that you could never truly hate him for what happened!" The scene changed before Rae could ever get close enough to see Silver's eyes open as Hono's dead body fell across his chest.
Rae was shaking, tears streaming down her face as she turned in anger towards 'Andi. "If I died... then how the hell am I here?"
"I have a unique ability in this age... I can force time to play more to my will than it normally would... I took you from that moment, the moment right before Ezekiel could kill you!" There was a force in her voice now that held Rae, that made her listen to every single word. "By changing that moment I set off a cascade of possibilities, ripples in time for a few minutes in every direction, in one of those new time lines Ezekiel never even appeared and you made it off of Eden unharmed! You see, sometimes the lack of possibilities changes everything!"
That last little bit still made no sense to Rae as she wiped the tears off her face, and sniffled a few times.. "So what... you saved me?! Why, what good am I without my memories even if they are painful!"
"I am sorry about that, it was not the memories themselves that needed to be removed, but the emotions attached to them, I needed to give you a chance to act without the past clouding your judgement!" The pair appeared back in the memory that Tomorrow had focused on, the fiery haired woman dancing with the grinning giant as sexual innuendos passed between them without the need for words.
"But how could moments like this cloud my judgment more than letting him be a stranger to me?" Rae thought on how both she hand Tomorrow had apparently changed since then, his metal arm and her striped hair being only the visible changes. "If I still care about him as much as I did back then... then what could possibly be wrong with that?"
"It is not just caring about him, it is in the fact that you still love Sunstrike and Night Hunter... in the fact that you would never do a single thing that would harm any of the people that you care about! I know that you can not see it from this point in time, but eventually, feeling impartial towards some of these people could help you save them more than being the emotional wreck that you were when I found you!" Now there was anger clear in 'Andis voice as well as Rae's
"I still don't ******** get it? If I love them all, then I would go to the ends of the earth to help them, to protect them!" Rae turned her anger on Verandi, yelling at the woman.
"And you would die trying.... What good is a dead Avatar? None, none at all!" Verandi answered back venomously, shaking a finger in Rae's face. "Within your mind are all the answers that Donner needs, he doesn't need Hugin or Munin to want to help him, because you will happily help Tomorrow, where they would turn away from him!"
Rae blinked and tried to think past the well of emotions that were almost overwhelming her... Maximos's spell was apparently working, because she could remember quite a few times when she had rushed out to help someone she loved and almost died for it... she could even remember making a deal with Death itself to save Night... but the memories were still distant, for even though Rae could follow a thought to a memory it was like she was still an outsider, for the emotions that should have gone with those moments were not there and she looked at Verandi with more shock. "What have you done?"
"I have given you a second chance, a chance to relearn your life and all the people in it, without the past having any influence over you.... for what it is worth, I am sorry that this hurts you the way it does, but think about the adventure you could have? Think of all the new people you will get to meet, and you never have to feel bad about something that happened before your new life began this morning!" 'Andi was fading away as Rae watched, the gold woman becoming fuzzy like an after image from looking too long at a candle flame in a dark room.
Rae was torn, she understood now that Maximos's spell could allow her to unlock her past, but whatever 'Andi had done would keep it from truly being hers... It wa all like a movie now, things that happened to someone else in a different time, and she could actually pick and choose between those moments to make a life all her own...but she still wondered what the cost would be to the people who still cared about her from that past?
