Location: main island, human district with: Nadia and Renee OOC: new episode of 11 Eyes Abridged is up, check it out guys 11EA 6
"never flinching, never wavering...."
Vincent sighed and turned to look at Nadia, about to tell her not to make excuses when he saw her blushing face and froze. "so....cute..." he thought, heart pounding a little. Dealing with these two girls was gonna kill him one way or another, though honestly if it was that way he might just die happy. He shook his head, trying to shake away those dirty thoughts and nodded to Nadia. "It's ok, just do your.." however before he could finish she was already gone, raced off to what looked like a gypsy camp. "...best" he muttered, glancing over at Renee in confusing before just sighing and shrugging it off. "well that was interesting I guess, so did you still wanna share a dorm for the time being? I don't use up all that much space so it wouldn't really be an inconvenience" he offered again.
Renee looked at Vincent as he snapped at the pair of them, raising a very good point. She almost expected him to palm her in the face, like the rest of her friends and comrades. Damn-it, why the hell do I always do this... As he finished, Nadia began to do a mock apology, at least in Renees eyes. I remember why, now... She didn't know why, but everything this girl did, she just absolutely hated. She didn't pay attention to what the girl said, instead feigning attention/interest until the girl left, Vinces voice snapping her out of her hate-mode. She thought for a moment as his question rang through her ears, but her mind was set on the original option. "Thanks for the offer, but like I said, I think I'm better off sticking with my group. It's not that I don't trust you, I'm just more comfy with my friends." She looked at her watch and her face froze: if Royce knew what she was doing, she'd put her AND everyone else into a torture session before the sun even rose the next day. At her expense. "errrrrrrr, I need to go. Sorry, thank you, apologies etcetera- but I need to go. See ya!" She bolted off in a flurry and jumped over and dodged everything that stood in her way, making excellent time and demonstrating her capabilities. As soon as she'd make it to the Gym, she would find her pre-designated bed and prepare for the morning ahead... Royce would show as much mercy as their teacher in their wake-up ritual. I.e. he would be as sadistic as Demonically possible.
Euca listened to the pair and started thinking: where was he going to sleep? He was sure that Royce was going to let them all stay in his house, but the sleeping arrangements would be limited. Speaking of which, daylight was getting more and more limited by the second, and the lot of them needed a place to sleep. "Knowing him, Royce won't dissagree to the idea, though the idiot will wake us all before dawn like our training instructor does every day of the week... eh, I can't complain. We've been lazy anyway, we need the workout." As he had this thought, he accepted the inevitable. He turned back and motioned Jade to follow, holding Auras hand. "We may as well head back into the house. He won't mind sleeping on the floor. Aura can have the main bed, and you can have the spare one. I'll take the couch." As he headed back to the house, he started to think... what the hell was he in for? Angels and Demons in a single area, and Humans being only just introduced? There was going to be tension, that was for sure, but how much was to be determined.
Royce began walking back home, feeling no true need to visit his scout group. While he did want to see them, he didn't really see it as a necessity for the moment. Besides, he needed to worry about the next couple of days. Christ... this is hellish. He looked at the last couple of days, and what had happened: The entirety of his life had pretty much been turned on its head. He went from absolute atheist, contempt with his current knowledge and even certain with his life to complete and utter anarchy. Life as he knew it may as well have been a lie... hell, it may as well be a lie. It would make things a little easier to understand rather than deciphering fact from fiction. He may seem like he's handling things fairly well, but in truth he's very well close to the edge. I can handle this. I can handle this, I -need- to handle this. People are depending on me. As Royce walked from the hospital, he recalled his current role as the representative for the Human race. He wondered if he had bitten off more than he could chew, but he swallowed the question and shook away his doubt, at least for the moment. He realised that he was in a whole new world, a whole new way of thinking and a new law-set for the people here. This was pretty much international waters, lawless territory that was governed by the strongest and the best. It was scary and very daunting, but he looked at it as a new opportunity. Alright... I'm in charge. I need to lead everyone here. It's about 3 weeks from the start of the school year and I need to establish the Human race as something to be reckoned with... either that, or be stepped on by everyone here. He felt like the world was on his shoulders, which it technically was, but who cares about technicalities? That was what he thought, even if he had to make himself believe it. He had to deal with people judging him, his own people depending on him, even a pair of persona's that he thought disappeared 4 years ago. But he could do it. People depended on him keeping his head, and they didn't even know it.
As he made it home, he noticed Renee and 2 students he never saw before convening with each other... and the Blue haired boy seemed to be spitting the dummy[i.e. he was angry] at the other two. Royce stayed back and watched as the trio finished their quarrel, and his thoughts drifted away from his current and many dilemmas. Instead, he began to think about how his group, and the many people he was now in charge of, were going to keep in shape. Hehe, she's gonna be in a world of hurt tommorrow... nah, I'll let them think they're on vacation for a couple of days. He almost forgot about everything for a while. letting his head go wild on how his teacher would put them all through hell... maybe a lap or 5 around the island? Either way, as soon as they all dispersed, Royce started to head towards his house. As soon as he opened the door, he found Euca on the couch. He figured that everyone else that could fit from the scout group was going to be in the house too, so he assumed the worst. With that, he stole Eucas pillow and blanket, and took a spot on the floor... surprisingly not the most uncomfy spot he's slept on.
---THE NEXT MORNING---
It was barely 6am, and yet the sound of footsteps could be heard on the beach. And not that of a single person. Not that of 5 people, or 10. It was more than 50 people, all marching in perfect sync, making their second lap around the island. It was the 6th kilometre that they'd ran, all of them exhausted, but their leader not letting up for a moment. "HURRY UP! EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO KEEP A GOOD 20 PACES AHEAD OF ME!!!" Royce was abusing each and every one of them, like a good drill instructor should, but he was being easy on Euca... mainly because of his intent. "Like I said, you can all thank Bombardier Euca for this early morning walk. Then again, maybe you all need this little bit of encouragement: We did only win last years tournament by a hair." No one spoke a single word against him: He may be the same age as them, but their instructor is an ex-veteran of the S.A.S.R., and trains them to a much harsher extent than Royce. A single word spoken to her, and all of them are screwed. Royce included. With that much known, Royce made them all perform to her expectations and, just to provide the 'I'll gut you and not give a damn' feel of a true drill sergeant, he began to sing the song that all of them had drilled into their heads, Kiwis included. "All together now: All the time, they run and hide, only because we; are the prime, who tan their hides, chanting 'Come at me!''; We knock 'em down, throw 'em round, smiling happily; We're rifleman, and woman, we're A.N.Z.A.C. Infantry!"* The chant could be heard almost a kilometre/half a mile away, and they all sang it loud and perfectly in sync. They knew Royce was a good leader, and they know they were getting cocky since they won the last 7 international Army Cadet competitions in a row, so a good reminder like this was what they all needed... whether or not they woke everyone else in the entire island up or not.
|-Out Of Comission: I have to apologise deeply for the absence and lack of replies, but lease understand that I've hit a standstill in my life. By that, I mean that I've been doing everything possible to make the masses happy, yet receive nothing in return. I discovered that my modest pay-check is barely enough to get me by and MiLynn by at the same time, let alone be able to keep her in the country. I've begun to lose faith in many aspects of my life that I previously thought supported both me and many other people across this country. And, I feel that my government is slowly, but surely turning into a state that sells itself out to everyone just to make an extra dollar. All at the expense of people like me. I understand that maybe some of you may see this as melodramatic bullshit, but please understand that I'm going through a very, very difficult point in my life. I'm trying desperately to keep the love of my life out of a country that is on the brink of civil war, and against a government that willingly defies its constitution based on technicalities and loopholes. I'm trying to keep my sanity and my health in a job where 'Workplace Health and Safety' means exactly the same amount as my pay-check, even though I've earned my place and qualifications throughout my life, both through experience and eduction. And my family is starting to look at me like I'm nothing more than a degenerate who only looks to them as a moocher and a 'borrower', when it's the exact opposite. I feel, to the greatest extent, that everything that I do, is all for nothing. I'm on the verge of insanity right now, and even as I type this I'm tearing up at the thought of everything that's happening in my life. There's alot in my life happening right now, including things that I don't want to mention, and as much as I want to say 'please bear with me', I'm getting sick of saying it. I say it all too often and many people are sick of it too. I'm exhausted, I'm tired, but it's not an excuse. Everyone's the same, and I can't use it as an excuse anymore. I'm going to keep as active as possible while maintaining my personal life, and that's that.
*The song that this chant derived from, for those who need the refference. If I missed anyone, please let me know through PM. I want to reply to everyone.-|
Location: main island, beach with: a bunch of noisy cadets OOC: Don't worry about it man, take as much time as you need getting your life sorted out first, then you can worry about hobbies and such like this. Don't let it take to much of your energy, since you don't sound like you have a whole lot to spare.
"never flinching, never wavering...."
Val let out a soft groan as the sound of obnoxiously loud chanting roused her from her sleep. "I suppose it makes sense that they can afford a home to every student if they make the walls paper thin" she grumbled in her natural, much more feminine voice. That was another mystery solved she supposed, but honestly wished she hadn't. Rolling out of bed she trudged her way into the bathroom to get ready for the day. Actually classes hadn't started yet apparently, and wouldn't for a while it seemed, so that gave her time to explore and learn the area, as well as the people in it. She stepped out of the bathroom with a roll of bandages which she liberally wrapped around her chest to bind her breasts down. As she did her daily ritual of transforming into a guy she glanced out the window, having a pretty good view of the beach, and sighed.
Getting the rest of his police uniform on Vincent grabbed an apple off the table and headed out, figuring he'd grab a bigger breakfast in the market district a bit later. He stepped out of the dorm house no longer Valery Taylor, but now firmly in the persona of Vincent Ross. Vince made his way down t the beach with an unamused glaze in his eyes. "you do know noise pollution and disturbing the peace are punishable offenses right?" he said tiredly between bites of his able. He glanced over the cadets all marching along, spotting Renee and giving her a short, tired wave. Jack usually wasn't bad with mornings, but the excitement and anxiety from arriving at this strange island had seemed to drain the energy out of his yesterday, and he was now feeling the effects.

Kin let out a long yet inaudible yawn as he sat up in his bed. After tucking Cole in bed he had stealthily stealthed his way back to the human section and slipped into bed. He hadn't noticed if Aura had gotten back or not, though he supposed she was probably fine wherever she was. Honestly if she hadn't returned it meant she couldn't kill him in his sleep, so perhaps it was for the best. The mute deerkin hopped out of bed and began stretching and doing some light calisthenics to get himself awake and limber. Feeling slightly more awake he slipped into the bathroom and looked himself over. Shaking his head he reached into the medicine cabinent and traced his finger over the obscene number of bottles of hair dye, stopping when he finally found a color he liked. Grabbing the dye he dumped his head into the sink and went to town, bring his head up a few minutes later to reveal his newly green dyed hair. Kin being a clown mime hybrid, believed in bright vivid colors, but having all sorts of colors at once ruined the whole mime aesthetic, so instead every day, well everyday he got an opportunity to do so, he swapped colors so he only wore one at a time, and matching his hair to it as well. His last color had ofcourse been purple, but he decided green would be a good color for today. He didn't really understand symbolism so it really never meant anything outside of what he thought would look nice that particular day. He walked back to his room and opened his closet to reveal a rainbow of colored stripped shirts. Kin grabbed the green stripped shirt and threw it on over his head, fixing on a pair of green stripped socks as well to match. As he was making his way to the kitchen to get breakfast he stopped by Aura's door. Curious to see if she was here he silently crept against the door and began to open it slowly, just trying to get a peek inside.
Alright, since we're in a new day, I thought I'd give everyone a quick Quote-bump.

(( ASNIOEAFLNXCFZMZFDOS so guess what. I just got a job as a waitress at a Mexican-style restaurant. Of course, I speak about this [------] much Spanish and it's almost 40 minutes away, but I'm also the only female server. Let's just say my tips are...substantial.
The thing is, I only have 1.5 days off: Thursdays, and Friday mornings. Normally after work I'm too dog-tired to do anything except eat and go to sleep, but I'm going to try very hard to post at least twice a week, because c'mon, it's only typing right? (: So expect that, and if I don't deliver just get out the whip. Cause I'm committed to this thing, aight? I'll post for my characters in a little bit. I actually just woke up... crying This job, I swear...it's excellent money, but wow. Just wow. ))

Caligon woke up after what seemed like a really long day. So much had happened in a single day that it was a little hard to believe. After all, he had lost his hearing, got dumped, got rejected two-fold, and he graduated into the use of his emotions. He was honestly quite shocked how well this school worked in terms of making people grow up. Stretching lightly, and almost falling out of his hammock, he stood up and decided to hop into his in-home Japanese style bathtub. He had earned quite a bit of Shrap, as he was prone to call it, last year and had spent most of it on totally decking out his little shack which now looked to be a house made for at least three people. But as he got into his bath, he wondered about something very confusing...
"How exactly did I get home last night?" He remembered flying off with Karin after the whole... he didn't want to remember it. But he had finally come into his own in terms of emotions, that much he did remember. So they had flown off in search of food... Oh right. He let her get ahead and then he snuck back to his place and then pretty much crashed into the hammock he had just put up in his living room, which was odd seeing as it was right over the couch. He would work that out later. But now that his friends were scattered about, who should he go visit first. Definitely not Royce (he could hear him faintly with his army singing), and seeing Karin now would be asking for an Astral Launch after abandoning her... After getting out of the bath, he slipped on a dark purple sleeveless hoodie with an odd heart symbol on it (his human friend had apparently sent it to him), and a pair of black jeans, then walked over to Eumi's place. He figured that maybe they were still friends, so he should go talk to her, regardless of what happened yesterday. He knocked on her door tentatively, and prepared for the worst.

After being nudged by his sister to wake up, and looking like they had a full conversation, he looked at their class schedules. Looked like they didn't have any classes together. He found that odd. And he knew Nadia would find that oddly entertaining. After cooking breakfast squirrel over the open campfire and eating it, they headed off to find where their classes would be--despite that it seemed they wouldn't have classes until the afternoon.

Rena stretched as she started to wake up. While she stretched she reached for the bottle next to her. She sat up to drink from the bottle, pulled it away and shook it slightly upside down. "Not even a drop..." Thank goodness she was still very drunk from the night before, but she'd have to find more before her morning shower. She stood up and headed to the fridge. "Oooh.. newly stocked.. Wonder how I missed this...." She grabbed the biggest bottle and headed to the shower.

The blue haired blue eyed blind girl woke up earlier than she had wanted. Royce's morning routine just in his home was loud enough to wake the dead. And so, very early in the morning, Aura found her way back to her place that she shared with Kin. Quietly, she entered the hut and headed into her room.
A few hours later, when Kin opened the door, he'd find Aura half on the bed, so deep in sleep one could mistake her for being dead to the world. The odd thing about how she was laying half on the bed was the fact her feet were on the bed and her head was on the floor.

The door slowly, silently cracked open, inch by inch revealing more of Aura's room. When Kin's eyes finally came to rest on the bed he was greeted by a strange sight. Aura was laying toppled over on her bed with her head slumped off the side down to the floor. Concerned Kin slowly opened the door and tip toed his way inside. He knelt down beside Aura carefully, as if she'd suddenly spring up like a zombie and attack him or something, and gently pressed his ear to her chest, getting her heart beat to confirm she wasn't as dead as she looked. Heaving an inaudible sigh of relief Kin placed his hand on her shoulder and gently shook her, seeing if he could stir her awake.
Aura moaned a little before turning and reaching, grabbing Kin and pulling him in and using him as though he were a pillow. Now on top of Kin, using him as a pillow, again asleep as though she were dead to the world..

Kin flinched back a little when Aura let out a weird moan. When she suddenly started turning towards him he tried to take a step back, but before he could he found himself snatched up and pulled down onto the ground. Kin let out a silent scream and found himself planted underneath Aura. Kin had no idea what she was doing or why, but he was still shaken enough to panic. Kin tried to push away the sleeping girl ontop of him, but his strength proved lacking. Squirming Kin struggled to try to wake her up, thinking she might roll over or something, though there was the risk she might just tighten her hold on him. Thinking fast Kin brought his hands between himself at Aura at the chest area, and quickly mimed up a car jack, which coincidentally would feel like he was groping her. He pulled a hand free and grabbed onto the lever and began pumping, prying them apart and propping Aura up in the air above him. Slipping out from under her Kin grabbed Aura and flipped her off the car jack and back onto the bed properly. Kin sat down and let out a gasp, clutching his heart out of shock for what happened.
Royce decided that this lap was the point where they all needed a break, so he ran in front of the group and stopped them all, guiding them all into the side of the beach, a large shaded area with trees and portable stools set up. "Alright everyone, good work. Remember, I'm pushing you hard so that Teach's training isn't as bad. Scouts, form up." 10 people formed a semicircle around the red-head, all relatively unaffected by the routine like himself. These few were pushed 10 times as hard as the others, being the teachers 'personal troops'. Her training wasn't even on the books with how harsh it was, lest she lose her job... but these guys could handle it. Before he could get a chance to talk to them, a voice came up from behind, and Renee shot into glee, waving madly. "You know him?""Yeah, his name's Vince! He's Chicago P.D., too, even the lady in the desk confirmed!" Royce looked at the boy, then picked out his PDA, the holographic image popping out of it and scanning the boy: Royce, being the rep, had access to student information to an extent. Damien let Royce know about this in the introductory emails he received and decided to make full use of it now. His eyes opened up when it confirmed that he was both a student -and- a cop. "Heh, no s**t? Bloody hell aye, never would have thought a kid my age could apply... must be a youth program, right?" He walked up to Vincent and extended his hand. "Royce Siegman, representative for the Humans... what few we have here." Then a dilemma popped into his head, regarding what the boy said. "And what's this about a noise disturbance? I've been told all units have soundproofing until 7am? Some kind of magic spell or something." Royce was confused, especially since he knew his was soundproof, and he even tested it last night with a flash-bang he requested from Damien.
Location: main island, beach with: Renee and Royce OOC: bullshit, you never established that till just now. And how can you test if something is sound proofed in the morning at night?
"never flinching, never wavering...."
A small smile was forced onto Vince's face when Renee started excitedly waving to him. He had to admit it was hard to have a bad attitude when the girl was acting so bubbly. He rubbed his face a bit under the guise of trying to wake himself up, really hiding a small blush forming, and looked back up at Royce once it had faded to see him scanning him with something. Vince's eyes narrowed a bit, suspicious as to why a student would have acess to such a thing, because based on his reaction he guessed it had Vince's information on it. "you'd be surprised what you can do with the proper connections...." he said, showing him his badge "though I suppose perhaps you wouldn't" he said, picking up on the fact he was the representative of the humans here. Vincent sighed and shook his hand, showing him the proper respect he deserved. "Vincent Ross, you probably already know all the rest" he said. When Royce claimed that the homes where supposed to be sound proofed Vincent gave him an unamused stare. "And you would believe that over a witnesses testimony? You claim these homes are sound proofed yet first thing in the morning someone comes up to you complaining about noise. It's not hard to see the contradiction there, and it leads me to believe there's either some sort of error in this "magic spell" or you've simply been fed false information" he said, "either way I'd appreciate not having to wake up to an entire platoon of people playing army men" he said, tossing his apple over into one of the nearby wastebins. "and as representative of the humans I would expect you to be more considerate of the other people here and act accordingly" he added.

٭٭٭٭٭₪₪₪↑↑↑↓↓↓∆∆→→→Eumi Isunden Dreldan←←←∆∆
Eumi awoke, staring at the classic, wispy black curtains hung over one side of her canopy bed. Cobweb designs were embroidered cheaply into the sheer fabric. It draped heavily, like gauze. She felt like a princess of death, encased in her dark tomb, and to give the room that gloomy, gothic effect, she'd blocked out the windows with dark shades. Her room was covered with bleak, oppressive blackness, enriching the soul with their richness of shades. She relished in this sort of stuff. It was Eumi's element. So why did she feel that it was such a miserable room at the moment? She flopped off of her bed, lowering at the warm purple carpet. It was stifling in here, and not just because it was summer and this was a pitch black room on a tropical island, but because she'd had a restless sleep. Dreams of watching Caligon and his new girlfriend, Karin, kissing happily in blinding golden background light had made her stomach tighten in knots. Eumi sighed and wiped her damp, clammy face. This was going to be a long day. She didn't know how she was going to handle it. She couldn't think clearly. She went to her washroom, which was lighter (accredit to her intelligence) and breezy with a tiny screened window, and hopped into a cold shower without a glance at the mirror, dreading what she'd see. By the time she was done in there, most of her sweaty mask of make up had dribbled off, and she could clean the rest up with remover and reapply a tender coat of coal black eyeliner, and a shadowy darkness on her eyelids. She tilted her face to and fro, satisfied, and changed into a summer dress---a halter top style piece to let her wings breathe. Knock knock knock. Eumi, not stopping to wonder who was at the front door of the dorm house, trudged through the front hall, calling briskly, "Coming!" She slipped her toes into a pair of black flats and jarred the door open, looking up, and seeing Caligon on her doorstep. Her jaw dropped, and she slammed the door in his face. She stared at the door, then hissed, aghast with herself, "What am I doing?" She grabbed the doorknob again and wrenched it open, flushing. Her mouth gaped again, gawking at Caligon. Realizing she looked like an idiot rather quickly, she stepped aside. "Coming in?" she asked hollowly, gesturing to her dark abode.
