"If I recall correctly you'll need to attend the Co-Op Class next..." The Admin said, thinking hard about this as if trying to pinpoint old memories "...er....anyway yes you can go. Just make sure to check out at the gate first. They'll want to know what happened to all personal hear during the incident."

Vanni listened curiously-- the Co-Op Classes? It was a bit sobering to realize how little she knew about the Academy. Well, there was nothing to do be keep moving forward ! "Understood, I will." She nodded, and turned to leave, but not before calling behind her, "Thank you, sir!"
It didn't take her long to find the entrance, especially since she wasn't crawling through the sewer this time. Still, she was a bit slower than usual, given how she'd been running earlier... not to mention she'd had to change out of her uniform and into her normal clothes, which she appreciated greatly. Limping a bit on her cane, she approached what appeared to be the guards-- possibly the guards she'd seen when she first arrived! Admittedly, she wasn't sure how long she'd been in the Power Plant... she'd never been very good at telling time. "How do you do, gentlemen?" she chirped, smiling.
Vanni would however be left to quickly realize thew people before her were not the usual guards, certainly not the ones she had originally encountered upon entering the compound. The first tip off would be that they were seated upon a massive Onix stretched out between the guard posts, the gate laying in pieces on the ground. The second would be that there was now three of them, and the third would be that all three barely older than Vanni herself!
Seated near the head of the Onix was a boy wearing a green T-shirt which strained in an attempt to hold in his belly, his black shorts having similar difficulty with the boy's weight. Presently he was consuming food gusto from multiple packages laying strewn around his person.
Opposite him was a red haired girl, her hair tightly braided and hanging down near her posterior. Wearing a white tank top, red vest, khaki shorts and hiking boots, she was actually facing the opposite direction, holding up a pair of Binoculars as if searching for something.
Laying in the middle was a boy with short cropped brown hair, dressed all in black save for a blue dress shirt worn like a coat. On his back the boy was reading a book paying very little attention to his surroundings.
"Why do we even have to do this assignment Al? It's soooo booooorring" The red hair girl griped.
"Because Pepper we were arguing in class when the call went out, and because we 'weren't doing anything important' "The middle boy, apparently known as Al, replied.
At this point the boy in green would say something, however his words would be muffled to the point of being unintelligible by the food in his mouth.
"What's that Jeff? Timmy fell down a well?" Pepper would ask, not bothering to look the boy's way.
"You pushed him didn't you? I know they say stealing candy from a baby is easy but..." Al would begin to add, but just then 'Jeff' would slap his Onix angrily and the beast would shake, dumping Al off the side and into the dirt.
"Ow! What was that...." Al began as he picked himself up, noticing Vanni at last.
At this point Pepper would look as well, dropping her binoculars to her side "Well I'll be Heatran's Old Auntie, one of em actually ran for the gates" She said, sounding rather shocked.
"Least this makes things interesting" Al said, dusting himself off "Prepare yourself Miss Interloper, for the wrath of Team Renegade!"

Vanni had never been one for faces... or names... or people in general, really. So it wasn't much of a surprise that she'd mistaken a band of vagabonds for guards. They were all a lot taller than her. It was a grave offense to her tiny sensibilities! Especially the one on the Onix! Who wasn't nearly as charming as Raven's Steelix... or at least, he wasn't flinging himself off into non-Euclidean space, which was much less interesting. She so loved strange lovecraftian geometry, Darkrai warping the mind upon itself...
Oh, right. The "wrath". Yes, that probably needed to be addressed quickly. The tiny brunette, having changed back to her full regalia (and having hidden her atrocious ahoge), cut a much less-imposing figure than any of the members of Team Renegade "Am I really an interloper?" she queried, tilted her head to the side. "Technically, I was invited here. Or perhaps we're all interlopers-- the Zigzagoons in the trash can of life... anyway, are you sure about this?" She'd pulled out a Pokeball, looking the group over in a slightly sympathetic manner. "I could go my way, and you could go yours?" It was a pointless question, probably, but she figured it couldn't hurt to be civil.
"No can do Miss Interloper, orders are orders" Pepper replied from atop the Onix, looking down to her compatriot a moment later "Isn't that right Al?"
"That it is my dear, that it is" The boy stated with a nod of his head, snapping his fingers as he announced "Time to get this show underway! Go for it Buster!"
Acting on cue a large cloud of bubbles would suddenly shoot into the air from behind the Onix, sunlight glittering off their translucent forms as they began to spread out, floating in the air without a care. As the bubbles dispersed a sleek blue form would be revealed, standing boldly atop the largest bubble, one arm crossed over his torso while the other rested on his chin. The Froakie was impossible not to spot, his wait causing the overly large bubble to descend from the sky and place him softly onto the battlefield.
Running a webbed hand through the bubbles behind his head the Water-type smirked, gesturing toward Vanni ">For a lady, I always show my best<" He said, obviously attempting to be charming...and that was when Vanni would notice it. The Froakie spoke...or at least it seemed to...whatever language it was talking in she'd find herself understanding it perfectly. More so a small screen would suddenly flip out in front of her eye, displaying an array of data on the Pokemon standing in front of her, revealing all the Froakie's secrets...or at least most of them!

Vanni watched the whole thing with mildly detached interest, resisting the urge to sigh as her offer was rejected. Honestly, why did she even bother? There was no point to being a member of Tactics if she simply ended up fighting her way through everything... though considering the majority of her plans tended to blow up spectacularly, perhaps that was okay. She clapped politely at the Froakie's bubble show, watching him as he floated down. Well, at least this would be an interesting fight.
She jerked her head back as lights danced in front of her eyes, words rushing by in a technological flurry. "Oh," she murmured, doing her best to take it all in. "Well. This is different. And talking, I see." This Pokedex was certainly useful! Hopefully, it'd give her a hand in the upcoming fight. But just to test... "Bellona?" she said as she released the leafy green bean in question.
The Chikorita popped to attention, adjusting her ragged red headband as she did. "Hey, boss," she responded nonchalantly, fixing her eyes on the Froakie.
"Well, that answers that," she remarked, more to herself than her Pokemon. A bit louder, she said firmly, "Go on the defensive, dear." As Bellona dashed to the right, she glanced up at the pair on the Onix. "Can I at least know upon whose orders you're acting?"
"For someone trying to escape a Rocket facility you aren't terrible bright..." Pepper commented from her perch up on the Onix, sounding rather surprised.
"She's from a group dumb enough to attack an Organization facility, what did you expect?" Al retorted, looking at the red-head over his shoulder.
Still eating, Jeff simply gave a thumbs up. Obviously he felt the boy had a point.
"Alright Buster, go for the Bubble Screen!" Al commanded, pointing dramatically at Bellona as he issued the order.
">Alas, I'm afraid our time shall be short; but know that I shall burn your beauty into the depths of my mind so that it shall forever remain in this world!<" The Froakie declared, placing a hand to his chest while sweeping through the air with the other.
The next moment the Water-Type would release a wave of bubbles, the shinning aquatic spheres meshing like a net and creating a wall which slowly moved forward. Difficult to dodge indeed, but it had another effect. With the light shinning and refracting off the bubbles multiple images appeared of the Froakie's body. Not only was it hard to avoid, but it even made it difficult to figure out where their opponent stood on the other side!

For once in her comparatively short life, Vanni was at a complete loss for words. She stared up at the trio, green fixed with with a mildly baffle glint. "I... yes, how utterly brilliant. I'm a terrorist." There was more than a hint of annoyed sarcasm in her voice, but given how naturally blank her tone was, and the distance between them, she was pretty sure they couldn't hear her. "Bellona, just... deal. Deal with this. Vine Whip."
The Chikorita, who had successful combat rolled out of the way, got back to her stubby feet and saluted. Bellona assessed her opponent with a curious glance. "Look, it's bad enough I got one creepy water-thing hitting on my boss; we don't need'ta make it two." This remark was spoken in an oddly causal manner, given how her two thick green vines rose from her back and struck forward at the Froakie.
Rather than responding to the words of the Chikorita, the Froakie would just scowl, his bulbous eyes scrunching in thought till the abrupt snapping of Alistair.
Without a sound the Water-Type would take one of the bubbles off his back, smashing it against the ground before erupting in a flood of bubbles. It would seem he was attempting to make a smokescreen of foam, either trying to shield himself beneath them or obscure the Chikorita's aim enough to escape unscathed!

Bellona's vines smashed harmlessly against the ground. Bubbles and dirt were displaced in the attack, but she'd missed her opponent in the "smoke"-screen. On Vanni's quiet (and slightly strained) command, the Chikorita raised her vines once again and lurched forward, hoping to break though the bubbles (and hoepfully the Froakie) with yet another Vine Whip!
Bubbles, though lovely in the light, didn't have a chance against Bellona's more focused assault. The full force of the Chikorita's vines slammed down on the Froakie, knocking him back a few paces... and knocking him out. He still breathed, much to Vanni's relief, but he would be feeling that attack in the morning. Bellona looked quite pleased. "Heh, looks like he's... busted." She adjusted her bandanna while grinning, and if one listened hard enough, they could hear a faint musical train.
Vanni, on the other hand, looked far less amused. Lifting her head up, she met Al's eyes. "Is that all? Am I permitted to leave yet?"
Like that the Froakie would go down, but it was clear by the look on it's trainer's face this little competition was far from over. Yet as he returned the Water-Type to it's ball it would not be Alistair who gave the next command. Instead, leaping up from her perch atop the Onix, the red-headed Pepper would cry out "Time to give that girl the POMF!" In response the rotund Jeff would pump his fist into the air, attempting to cheer something which was likely POMF, but instead only succeeding in spraying crumbs all over the place.
Giving a mild smirk, Al's glasses seemed to glint "Well I am a ground pleaser!" Without another word, or at least for until after the action, Al would reach into his pocket, pulling out what appeared to be a Luxury Ball and tossing it into the air!
In a shower of sparkles a Pokemon would be released, her tiny wings all a flutter as periwinkle poof fluffed up in the air. Heart shaped nostril flaring, a broad grin showing off her one tooth, the little Pokemon would cry out with glee ">POMF!<"
That's when it would hit them, a sweet scent in the air which seemed to turn their vision pink, the Woobat's already fluffy and adorable body seeming to grow in appeal even for those not into that kinda thing. It would seem the Flying-Type had kicked off the battle from the start, throwing out a little Charm!

"I could do without the POMF, really," Vanni remarked with an arched eyebrow, sizing up the Woobat. It was taking all her self-control not to run over and snuggle the sparkle-puff to her bosom. Must... resist... charm...!
Bellona, on the other hand, didn't have to struggle ot resist the cuteness. The Charm was certainly a powerful bit of persuasion, but for a Guardian like her, throwing off the charms of sweet lasses was to be expected. Her earthy eyes showed no signs of faltering! So instead of going on the defensive, she darted forward, the dark green leaf atop her head glowing with energy. This was her Fury Cutter!
"Your mouth says no, but your eyes say yes!" Al stated with a smirk, then raising his arm and sweeping it through the air dramatically "POMF, fluffle love!" He shouted, the dynamicness of his tone contrasting sharply with the absurdity of his words.
Still it seemed to make sense to the Woobat as the Pokemon immediately began to wiggle, fluffing up it's fur even more so than normal, every movement designed now to radiate cuteness. The strategy was clear enough, they were trying to look too cute to attack!
