I listen to the rather dramatic conversation with Nero. "Too much drama, not enough fighting, or booze. Let's just get our food and get out, I have a feeling that our party is about to the crashed, maybe with a hammer, but most likely by the eleixandre," I say in my usual cheerful voice.

"Yeah," Laci nods, "I think a few of us were homeless. I was a gypsy. I threw knives at things and people paid me money to watch. I was also occasionally forced to do... less than savory things for men in order to put food on the table and pay to stay with camp, kind of like.." She trailed off, 'Kind of like your daughter,' she thought but new not to say better. No father would want to hear those things about his child, "Well, anyways, I do think most of us have lead pretty rough lives. That's probably why they picked us, because not many of us would be missed."

The merchant smiles and puts the fruits into baskets for you.
"Yes, there is a park near the middle of town," he says.
Laci:
"I'm sorry to hear that," Zazigh says solemnly.

Laci smile, "It happens. I'm just glad you got reunited with your daughter." She looks over at Tellat adoringly, "She's quite sweet, you're very lucky."

"Well, Fate's got a special way of freeing people like that! Right now, she wants to take your daughter to the park to enjoy this food!" I say playfully as I lead her to the park, the baskets in hand. I don't bother pointing out anything to her yet on the street, seeing as I didn't want to confuse her too badly.
"So, Tellat, just outta curiousity, got a special fondness for anyone yet? I can tell at least one of our little band has eyes for Laci, and she seems to have eyes for him, but, I wonder if you have anyone you like..." I say to her once I distance myself from the clamor of the marketplace.

As you turn to leave the marketplace, a man in black runs between you and Tellat, separating you, and nearly spilling your fruits. One of them does escape, but the stranger (whose face is hidden by a hood) grabs it and tosses into the air, landing perfectly into the correct basket, without stopping or even missing a step.
"Many apologies, madam!" he cries as he runs on.
As you watch him run, you begin to wonder what kind of person he is: he is wearing a long black coat with the buttons done up from the neck down to his waist, where the rest remain open. The bottom of the coat flaps as he runs, showing off his black boots (which look a lot like black versions of Zazigh's blue combat boots). His hands are covered by black gloves.
Everyone:
As this stranger in black runs through the marketplace, he barrels between the group, knocking Shi'ita, Desta, Nero, and Zazigh to the ground. Laci ends up thrown hard onto her a** as Zazigh pushes her out of the way to take the man's shove for her. The merchant stands up and points at the man.
"Cloak!" he cries. "Cloak!"
Suddenly, members of the Czarist Military run from their posts and pursue the man through the marketplace. Finally, he hits a dead end. But before the Czarists can catch him, he throws something at the ground. He is hidden by black smoke from whatever it was. The Czarists pause. This hesitation lasts long enough for the man in black to run out of the smoke, between the Czarists, and toward all of you again.
Jasmine:
As the man passes between you and Tellat once more, you can see enough of his face to see a smile.
"Again, I am sorry," he says.
Once again, he spoke without stopping or missing a step. He runs on, now pursued by the Czarists.
Everyone:
Once the man and the Czarist Military leave the area, the marketplace goes back to normal.

"Ah!" Laci yowls as she is thrown to the ground, landing hard and nearly biting her tongue as a result. Tears well up in her eyes as a reaction to the sudden pain and she tries to blink them away, "W-who was that?" She asks Zazigh, hoping he'd know since none of the others would.

"Hey! Watch it!" I call as I'm first knocked over by this guy, but as the others react to him, calling him cloak.. I raise a brow in curiousity and look around to observe the situation further. "What the... Cloak?" I mutter more to myself as I push myself back onto my feet while everything calms back down. I look over to Shi'ita. "You ok, Batboy?" I offer my hand to help him up.

He offers you a hand.
"But they don't seem to like him," he says.

"Yeah... At least he apologized to Jasmine for nearly costing us our meal." She lets him help her up and she rubs her tail bone, "That's gonna be sore for a while.." She giggles softly, "Oh well."

I stand there, my eyes wide, trying to make sense of the whole scene.
"Umm... what?" I say.
"So... yeah, and then that happened! What now? I almost sense a mystery thats needs solving, but I don't feel like investigating on an empty stomach. Also, are we staying here for the day before our trip or setting off and camping, either is fine by me, but I need to know if I should try and secure a nice place to crash here that's free!" I say.

Zazigh pats you on the head.
"Well, it'll be fine soon enough," he says.
Jasmine:
"Let's head out before nightfall," Zazigh says. "But you go on and take Tellat and anyone else who wants to go to the park. I'll be sticking around here until this part of the group is ready to follow you."
Tellat comes up to you and looks up at you.
"You were going to ask me something?" she asks.

Shi'ita landed onto his rear, but at least it wasn't too bad. Still, he did not enjoy getting run into like that. "It's like... we weren't even really there to him...Nothing to..." Shi'ita began, beginning to cry again

I scowl at the pushing of the man and the apparent desire to chase him, and I scoop up Shi'ita onto my shoulders.
"We sure as hell are here, and we most definitely aren't nothing!" I growl, then look to Tellat and Jasmine.
"Save us some food--especially little shriveling up Shi'ita right here. I'm sick of him getting pushed around...and I've had enough of it myself, too!"
I release a deep determined rumble and take off in pursuit of the "cloak".
"Let's teach them a lesson, brother! Let's show them you deserve more than to be pushed around!"

Laci stands by Zazigh, "Can I wait here too? I'm not sure I really want to go eat right now." She lingers, waiting for his answer.
