Xiong-Mao entered the room, his blue gaze wide with surprise. This place was a little different then expected- but then he hadn't been told much. Part of the noblest of Chinese families, he had been sent to the academy to bring honor to his family. Something about there needing to be some in the uprising Rocket organization. So they sent Panda, the only son of their newest generation out to accomplish great things. The boy looked pretty normal with straight black hair and blue eyes. However he was wearing a panda hoodie, ears and all. Honestly he didn't care what others would think of him wearing this. It was what he wanted to wear and no one could tell him otherwise. The rest of his outfit consisted of black pants and white and black shoes. The floor suddenly captured his attention as he saw it had spots of blood all over the place. The academy wasn't easy to get into and even harder to stay in- according to rumors. Looks like there was always a grain of truth even in any lie. "Hello?" he called, keeping his head high. Panda wasn't afraid, but was a little uncertain on how things were supposed to run here.
Knight was standing, more alert then his trainer. How he had managed to become this boy's pokemon was beyond him. The Pawniard had his bladed arms slightly raised, careful of anything happening. Expect the unexpected. Always keep alert. These were words that were imprinted in his mind or sayings he had heard constantly. The place simply reeked of battle- though it was implied that some had even died here. Knight didn't expect to die here, he'd kill others before that happened. Even though he wasn't always completely sure why he'd been paired up with Panda his trainer, he would still protect the boy. Loyalty ran very deep in this pokemon and he would fight to the end.

Exp:0/100 A black haired boy walked into the room with confidence. Actually it seemed more like he didn't know what was going to happen or what was expected. A smile was crossed over his face and his partner a Poochyena was just lying balanced on top of his head. "Well what do you think will happen here, Fang? I think they said something about a battle going on? We're ready, we've been training and waiting for this day!" The boy seemed ignorant to the danger this battle could mean. There was no notice of the bloodstains on the floor or the dents in the wall from the struggles that had ensued in this very room. Fang let out a bark in agreement before leaping calmly off his trainers head. The Poochyena's red gaze scanned the room eagerly. The dark wolf/hyena hybrid was excited for the battle. He wasn't one to think about the battle thoroughly and sometimes he let anger get the best of him. Still whatever sense of battle he used, it would be enough. ["Come out and let's start the battle!"] he barked sharply. Fangs were bared as he stood waiting for something to happen.

Stains and dents would seem to vanish from the floor as the shadows encroached on the boy's surroundings, causing all to vanish beneath an inky black veil. The child would find his feet no longer producing the sound of footsteps, the sounds around him from others had simply vanished. A single voice would echo in his ears, overshadowing all else.
"GWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!!" A diabolical cackle came from within the black "Welcome to your own personal Nightmare!" The voice called in a sinister purr "Tell me, would you prefer the tutorial? Or shall I simply turn you into food for the Murkrow!? GWAHAHAHAHAHAAH!!!"

Just as with the other boy, Mao would find himself in a world of shadows. The blackness would stretch and consume all, blocking off the rest of the arena from view...including the way out. The darkened tone of half crazed laughter would echo loudly in his ear as a voice called out from the shadows "GWAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!!! Welcome to your final minutes child!" A threatening statement, one spoken with all the joy of a child about to play ball.
"Tell me..." The voice purred "Would you prefer the tutorial, or to die quickly? Hehehehe....hahahaha.....GWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Simple, to the point, and bat-s**t crazy. The basic beginning of the events about to unfold.

Exp:0/100 Kane didn't panick or even feel scared at all when the darkness suddenly began to eat up everything in it's path. The boy could barely make out Fang's shape but he knew the pokemon was there. It's fur was up brushing against his right ankle. As the voice spoke, the boy did wonder where it came from. Though the words were slightly intimidating, he wasn't fazed. "Big words for something that's hiding in the shadows," he remarked in a matter of factly manner. It wasn't a smart a** comment, it was just said in a normal, neutral tone. "Let's just begin the battle, shall we? No tutorial for me."The black and grey fur bristled up. His tail bristled as well making him seem slightly larger then he actually was. The Poochyena stayed close to his trainer but he stood prepared to jump at anything that appeared. Ears swiveled forward as his sharp eyes tried to figure out where the voice could be hiding. It didn't seem like just any person, it could've been a pokemon for all he knew. A growl rumbled in his throat as he stood there waiting for the voice to reply.

As the darkness started spreading, there was a slight flash of emotion that crossed his face. It was a tiny bit fear but he quickly smothered it. Since he was from a noble family, they had taught him that he must never show such emotions even in the most dangerous of situations. No, he needed to stay calm, think clearly and figure out a solution. The darkness spoke and it seemed like something from a crazy person. Final minutes? Die quickly? What nonsense was the darkness talking about? He knew that the academy was hard to get into but he doubted that it was to that extreme. The shadows were probably exaggerating and so he took it easily in stride. He was here for a reason and he couldn't ever back out or bring dishonor to his family. "I'd like to start the battle without a tutorial." the boy said. His parents had told him a little bit about the entrance and he knew in this room, he would battle another pokemon to gain complete access to the actual class. Since they knew a little bit about what was expected, they had explained as best they could and he understood for the most part.
As soon as the darkness started spreading, Knight took a defensive position standing in front of the boy. The bladed arms were raised, as he stood alert. The shadows were speaking but he assumed a pokemon would emerge. This he could handle with fighting.

"Now who said I was hiding?" The voice would whisper directly into the child's ear, but when he looked there would be nothing in sight. Then the cackling would begin anew "GWAHAHAHAHA!!! I'm all around you child, right in plain sight!" The voice echoed across the room.
Slowly a section of the floor would begin to glow bright blue, a small vial filled with a sickening green liquid rising up by the boy's foot "Give that to your Pokemon...assuming you don't wish to walk away with a corpse! Gwahahahaha!!!!" ((Just to make certain, you are aware that the tutorial is meant to teach you the basics of the combat system used in this guild, correct?))

Rather then a Pokemon however, what would emerge from the darkness was a vial of thick green liquid surrounded by an odd glimmering blue patch of the floor. "I hope you realize what you're getting into child..." The voice spoke, the tone calm yet sinister "Have your Pokemon drink that if you want him to survive this experience."
((I'll ask you what I asked DSW, you do realize the tutorial is to teach you the guild's combat system, as well as explaining the capture of Pokemon correct?))

Elias calmly entered the Battle Room, Emolga was resting on his shoulder. Elias walked to the center of the room, he didn't really know what to expect from this but he knew Emolga and him could face down anyone and come out alright. He nudged Emolga to wake up as he waited for someone to tell him want to do.

A voice would declare to him ...a voice that was attached to nothing and seemed to echo around them ....as it spoke. A voice that was every where, but at the same time no where.
"Welcome to the battle arena, here you will take the final test for admittance into the academy. Failure here will equal ...an end to your chosen road, so with that acknowledge ...let me ask you this question about how you want to handle this battle."
"Will you choose the path of the tutorial or will you instead simply go straight to the battle? The choice is yours, and both forms of battle counts towards your admittance to this academy."
The voice declares completely devoid of emotion.

Elias was startled by the voice, but you couldn't tell by looking at him. He listened closing to what it had to say and thought for a moment. Elias has always been one for challenging himself, but accepting a challenge with no knowledge of what was ahead would be stupid. Elias stepped forward, and began to speak, "I do not wish to fail this test, so I choose the path of the tutorial."

The voice would declares as from the ceiling two things would happen .....two giant scoreboards would slide down so that the two blank screens could be seen.
"Before we begin, please have your pokemon drink the potion." "Be fully aware, that the only time that items can be used is outside of battle, or in substitute of your pokemon's attack turn during a battle."
"I will explain the last statement in more detail as we battle."
The voice would declare as something shimmers to his left ...a green gooey looking substances in a flask appeared as the voice waited for the Emolga to drink it.

"Emol!" Emolga shouted as it jumped from Elias' shoulder. Before Elias could say a word Emolga had already consumed the liquid. "Well let's just hope that doesn't kill you..." Elias sighed as Emolga returned to Elias' shoulder.

"Now all battles begin when the stats of both pokemon appear ....in a wild area, if the pokemon isn't pose to battle you ....you won't be able to see it's stats."
The voice would declares as though it had missed the entire antics of the emogla.
"Thus, as you can see, your opponent is now here....his stats are showing up on the stats board above." "Call out your Emolga to stand before you, and it's stats should show up as well."
The voice told him ...as indeed the stats would show up on the board...as the pokemon in question step out of the darkness with it's tail swooshing from one side to another. The Cranidos gave a loud roar as it glares daggers at it's opponent and lower it's head to match the height of the Emogla.

Elias took Emolga from his shoulders and placed him on the ground. "Alright! This is it little guy! Get out there and show that Cranidos that we are not to be messed with," Elias said to Emolga. Emolga smiled at it's trainer and then ran on to the battle field. It's stats popping up on the screen just as the voice had said it would.
