Though Claire was dressed in uniform for the class, a t-shirt and tennis skirt, she sat to the side reading--as if she were actually going to get sweaty for this class! When her cell phone alerted her of an incoming message, she closed the reading app she had been using to read the text. Ah, a message from Romania. Smiling, she typed out her reply.

xxx﹙And If I had one wish come true ﹚ When the bell ran, Leilani raised her head to look upwards at the clock hanging on the wall, all the while pausing her jumping in mid-air, falling graciously to the ground as she did so. Breathing out a sigh of relief, the Hawaiian then placed the jump rope back in the bin where she found it before returning to the locker room, changing, and heading on her way.

She continued to wear the sunglasses over her pale eyes, so others who didn't know about her attack in the park, wouldn't know about her blindness as well. Imperfections were never tolerated, ever. As she passed through, the corners of her lips curved upwards and she lifted and hand and waved, hoping with all her heart that she wasn't alone and looking like an idiot. This would be worse, since she wasn't even in her school uniform, if someone happened upon her and embarrassed her more. "Hello other students~!" She exclaimed as she walked forward at a slow and steady pace, her ocelot Renata right at her side, silently guiding her as she walked. "Could someone please tell me what period it is right now~?"

After a moment, she then gasped excitedly as she inwardly squealed to herself. "Ah, Antonio~!" What lovely timing for me to run into you here~!" She exclaimed with a bright grin as she walked the certain amount of steps she calculated possible before running into the Spainard and then stopped about a yard or so from him. "I'm sorry for ruining your fun and all but if you could point me in the direction of the other classrooms, that would be most helpful~!"

After nodding in annoyed agreement with Bulgaria's assertion that all of their truant classmates would likely not graduate, Venezuela walked off to his next class. The three of them had talked for so long that they had missed all of fourth period. So much for being the sterling seniors. Romero shrugged off this hypocrisy and quickly changed into his gym uniform. He didn't want to miss any more of fifth period than he already had--especially since he had accidentally cut a class.
Inside the gym proper were Anton,Antonio, and Juliana. Wait a--What was Juliana doing here? Had she recovered from whatever had made her blind that night in the park? Perplexed and wanting answers, Romero approached his former ruler and his South American neighbor. "Hola, ustedes," he greeted. "Como estan?" To Juliana, he added, "Why are you here? Did you get lost en route to Math class? Need a hand?" As he had shown up late, Romero had not heard Antonio propose the same thing. Maybe if Brazil consented to be escorted, the Venezuelan could learn more about what had happened to her that night.

Juliana inwardly repeated before she blinked her pale eyes in response, although it could not be seen behind the dark sunglasses she was wearing indoors. "Oh dear," She began as she realized that she had been asleep far later than she thought. "It seems like I have missed more of school today than I would've liked to. I hope I don't need to have to talk to the Disciplinary Committee over it; it was just so stressful to keep track of time and get to class on time when you-- Oh, Olá Romero~!" She exclaimed as she heard herself and the Spaniard beside her get addressed by her neighbor.
As he asked her why she was still in the gym, she lifted a hand and scratched at her cheek with her index finger as she grinned sheepily. "Ah, well I overslept and I tried to get here as soon as possible, but I got a bit frazzled and lost my way," She paused for a moment as she heard her dear ocelot meow loudly and she sighed. In a quick motion she bent down and scooped up her lovely Renata into her arms and stroked her head lovingly, to which the ocelot quickly obliged with consistent purring. "Well Antonio here had already offered to walk me to my math class," She mused as she titled her head to the side, nodding in his direction as she pushed her glasses up to the crook of her nose once more. "But if it would be easier for you to, that's fine as well. I don't want to distract both of you from your class just because I have a horrible sense of direction~"

Lost her way? Understandable, given what she must be going through right now. Romero had also learned secondhand of the club fire at her place through online news, and he knew that couldn’t have made her day any easier. He himself had felt a brief but intense stab of pain at El Comandante’s passing, but the knowledge that her would soon have a new president did much to lessen that pain.
The Venezuelan listened as Brazil responded and glanced at Spain as she mentioned his previous offer to escort her to math. It would be impudent of him to override his former conqueror, but then again, Antonio was surrounded by sports gear, while Romero had only just arrived. Besides, Juliana was giving him a perfect opportunity to learn more about the circumstances of her blindness.
“I’ll take her, Antonio, if you don’t mind,” Romero answered, glancing at the other nation as he stepped forward and took Juliana’s hand. “I’ll be back soon.”

Scratching the feline behind the ears envoked a slight meu~sound as well as an increase in purring capacity. She chuckled at this and lowered her head to nuzzle the face of her little friend before a hand reached out and grabbed her own. She was a bit surprised by this action, especially there was no way she could see it coming, and gasped softly before Romero's voice quickly followed the action.
Ah, so this hand is Romero's. The buxom blonde thought to herself as she moved her thumb ever-so slightly to stroke the tough skin of his hand. He indeed had faced some trials of war and suffering during his life time and this was evident by the roughness, scarred surface of his hand. But even though they weren't "perfectly soft", European hands, she did find it amusing that her hand could so perfectly fit inside of his own. "Oh!" She exclaimed as she looked up in the direction she believed to be Romero's face, before Antonio quickly interjected and decided that he two would be an escourt of hers. "Meninos, please, it's fine. You both can take me~!" She exclaimed like she had just solved all of their problems successfully on her own, puffing out her chest enough to nudge Renata and have her cry out in annoyance. "But please hurry, I do so not want to be late~"
But as the bell rang, ending the period, Brazil gasped softly as she stopped in her tracks. "Oh no! I'm far later than I thought and now I didn't even make it to my reading class!" She stomped her heeled-boot on the court of the gym, listening to the collision echo out through the empty building. Now all she could do was go to the last class of the day and then leave, which sucked. She missed all day for basically nothing. Pouting to herself, she then turned towards Romero and Antonio, chewing on the inside of her cheek silently. "Now that class is over, I can have only one escourt me, unless you're still both adament about taking me yourselves~"

Romero twitched when he heard the bell ring; his hand tightened momentarily around Juliana's. Her hand felt substantially softer than his, although that was probably because he had been rather more blade-happy in his past days than was strictly necessary. It intrigued him that her hand fit so well inside of his. The thought made him wonder again just where Brazil stood with him and Argentina. This bit of introspection cost him, as his hand was suddenly jerked up by an irritable Juliana, who proceeded to stamp her foot in annoyance that he and Antonio had dithered so long. The Venezuelan started at her outburst and hastily tried to make amends. " Lo siento, Juliana! I must've drifted off too long... Come on; let's go to your reading class. Perhaps you can be early to your last class?" Not that such an event could make up for Brazil's missing the rest of the day. Venezuela tugged her along as he left the gym. "Come on, Antonio, if you still want to," he told the older nation as he went. (phone. Sorry, guys! I was so caught up in writing essays for UCSD! || If somehow no response occurs when I return at 8 PST from my night class, I'll go ahead and post in the lit room.)
