Victoria had to stifle a giggle when he yawned. She was disappointed that he was tired, but brightened when he mentioned that a nap wasn't happening. She blushed when he held her gaze for a few seconds, and she had a feeling he was checking her out somehow. When he finally spoke, she was at a loss for words for a few seconds when he took her hand and gently massaged it. She tried to smile at him once again, but it she seemed frozen, and she only stared back at him. Somehow she pushed it aside and hesitantly said, "I don't really know any places to go." She bit her lip, but didn't tear her eyes away from his. "Maybe we could eat?" She wondered what time it was exactly. It had felt like days since he had picked her up, but she knew it was probably only a couple of hours. She also prayed that he didn't think she was asking for too much.

Dante held his eyes in place and tried to think of a place to go. His mind couldn't think of anything as he continued to look at Victoria. After standing silently for a few minutes, he stumbled for words, until something that sounded like a sentence finally came out. "We could, um. We could go to that one place down the street I guess." He laughed at himself for what he just said and tried to not beat himself up for it. He turned his head away from Victoria and yawned again. After he had finished, Dante walked down the stairs and sat on the couch, hoping that Victoria would follow him. He sat down on the couch that faced the window. He looked outside and hoped that he would see someone. He wanted to at least know that people lived next to him. He figured that his neighbors probably went on vacation all the time since they had to have money. He laughed at the idea because to him it didn't seem plausible. Dante leaned against the pillow and arm of the couch and rested his head on it.

Victoria smiled when he seemed like he had no idea what to say, and laughed lightly when he stumbled around, making no sense. But she decided to follow him, after taking one more glance around and following him down the stairs, sitting next to him on the large couch. She noticed he looked really tired, and she sighed. "Dante.." She shrugged and gave him a small grin, doubting he saw it from the way he was positioned. She reached out and touched his arm gently. "If you don't want to go, we can just..you can just take a nap. I can go home, if you want. I think I know the way.." She frowned, deep in thought now. She wanted him to get his sleep if he needed it, but she also felt like talking to him.

A small smile could be seen on Dante's heavy face. He truly was tired, but he didn't want to disappoint Victoria and not spend time with her. He shook his head, "I'm fine really." he yawned as he kept his head on the pillow. His eyes kept closing and opening as he sat there. He yawned one last time before looking over at Victoria. "Maybe a nap is needed. But I don't want you to leave." Dante lifted up his head and turned towards her. "Just stay here. I'll nap for a little bit. There's a spare bedroom too if you want to sleep. Or what ever you want." He stood up and looked out the window and around the house. He smiled again at Victoria. He reached down and held her hand and kissed it. "Promise you'll stay?" he said as he gazed into her eyes. In his head, Dante was hoping she would stay, but he understood if she wanted to go home.

Victoria frowned when he said he was fine. She decided not to say anything, and let him sleep. She was just about to get up and try to find her way back home because she thought he had fell asleep, but he suddenly spoke to her and she jumped a few inches off the couch, startled. She was surprised more than anything to hear that he wanted her to stay. She couldn't breathe for a moment as he turned to look at her, and she gave him a nervous smile, her eyes joyful as he offered one of the bedrooms to her. She could have a nice, fluffy bed with clean sheets? Was that really what he was saying? She stood up as he did, and waited for him to either speak or do something once more. She gave him a happy, energetic grin when he smiled at her and came closer. She waited, and held back a surprised gasp when he took her hand and kissed it. She glanced up and met his green eyes that she could get lost in easily, and was overjoyed. "I promise," She said breathlessly, squeezing his hand gently and not looking away from him. There were many thoughts and actions that were running through her mind, but all she could seem to do was stare at him, searching his face, as a happy, caring smile played on her lips.

Dante kissed Victoria's forehead and began to walk away, let her hand slowly slip from his, but still looking over his shoulder at her. He climbed the stairs and turned to go in the room on his right, as he hoped for something inside, but not entirely sure what it was. He made his way over to the new bed and slid his hand across the new blankets. He smiled and his hopes began to soar as he imagined it's comfort. He got into the bed and curled up underneath the blankets as his mind still raced with thoughts. He tried to push them away, most of which left, but a few happened to stick in place. He told himself that they were foolish and selfish. Dante laid there staring at the ceiling as he wished for the thoughts to go away so he could sleep.

Victoria watched him go, her skin still tingling from where he had kissed it. She didn't want him to go all of sudden, but she forced her lips to stay closed, so she wouldn't call for him to wait. He needed his sleep, that was obvious. And anyway, he had offered her paradise. She glanced around the large, beautiful house, and let her thoughts run free. Dante would have to stay in this all alone, she thought somewhat sadly. He would occasionally have parties, you could count on that, but how could anyone live in such a giant house with only themselves to keep company?

"Son, he's dead. We tired all that we could." "You couldn't have! Don't you have some sort of magical surgery?' "He died in your hands son. It's too late. Maybe if we showed up in time-" "Then why didn't you! Someone called when he showed up!" "We couldn't risk the lives of our officers over some senseless gang violence. We get calls like this all the time. You should be used to it already. I'm sure this isn't the only person you lost because of this reason." "You could've saved a life you piece of s**t. You could've stopped this. But you didn't." "You watch your mouth son. I'm not afraid to arrest you." "But you're afraid of that thug? You're a ******** pig. You're just a piece of s**t cop who takes the easy rode." "Put your hands behind your back." "Get the hell off of me." "Oh so now you want to be charged with assault on a police officer too huh?"
"I said let me go!" Dante screamed as he tossed and turned in the bed. His eyes quickly opened as he shot up in bed. Sweat was pouring down his face now as he tried to shake the words from his head. He took off his shirt and used it to wipe away the sweat and threw it on the floor. He turned and sat on the edge of the bed as his feet dangling over the edge. He reached over to the Jack from his fridge, but realized that he wasn't at his mom's house anymore. Dante hit the end table next to his bed with his fist, knocking the new lamp to the floor, but he didn't care at that moment. He began to feel rage as he sat quietly. He wished that the memory would just leave. He wished that it would stop haunting him in his sleep. But it never did. He let out a muffled yell and hit the bed. All he wanted was a drink right now. He just wanted to forget about what had just happened, like he was used to doing, but he knew his butt would be chewed out by everyone. Dante just sat there staring at the floor, trying to forget the horrible memory in which he had just dreamt and trying to push the urge to drink aside.

Victoria heard a scream and a crash following, and she shot up off the couch, in a panic. "Dante!" She screamed, but she didn't think he heard her because of the smaller yell that reached her ears a few seconds after. She almost flew up the stairs, tripping once and scraping her knee. She cussed silently in her head and continued on, a little slower because she felt her knee throbbing. She guessed it wasn't just a scrape after all. She ignored the pain and hurried down the hall, throwing open the door to every bedroom, calling for him. She threw open the last door and found him sitting sideways on the bed, his feet on the floor, along with the lamp that had crashed to the floor and shattered. She was horrified, and her eyes wide as she stared at Dante for a moment. "What the..." She started, then stopped herself. She bit her lip and watched him for a moment, before continuing softer, and in less of a panic. "Are you okay? What happened, Dante?"

Dante looked over at the door, frustration puffing out of his cheeks still, and he saw Victoria standing there innocently. She looked shaken and her knee had blood running down it. As he looked in her direction, the frustration and anger began to overwhelmed by compassion and worry, and he stood up off the bed. "A bad dream." He picked his shirt up off the floor and walked over to Victoria and knelled down in front of her. He wiped the blood off her knew with the shirt as he looked up at her. "What happened to you?" Dante asked, shifting his head back down, so that he could see what he was doing. He held the shirt there and applied pressure, hoping to stop the bleeding, so that he could see how bad it was. He looked back up at her and met her eyes. He didn't stay focused for long because he was more worried about the cut on her leg.

Victoria saw his expression change from frustration to worry, and she frowned when he mentioned it was a bad dream. "A bad dream? You smashed a lamp and screamed because of a..." She trailed off, partly because she had a bad feeling that he would be angry with her for making him seem stupid, and partly because she hadn't expected him to come over and help her. She glanced down and blushed when he began wiping up the blood with what looked like a shirt. She held his gaze for a moment before he glanced back down, and she bit her lip nervously. She wondered if her knee was that bad, but decided he was more important. "I'm fine, Dante. Don't worry about it, I just tripped because I was worried about..you." She said the word with anxiousness, but winced when he held the shirt tighter against her knee. When he stared up at her again, she glanced away, hoping he didn't see the pain in her eyes. "It doesn't matter," She insisted firmly, stepping back and around him. She began sweeping the broken lamp pile up with her hand, gasping when a small piece bit into the skin of her palm. "Great," She muttered. Now she had a cut on her knee and her hand. Almost instantly, her hand began bleeding and she pulled the piece out, grimacing when she did. She could feel new blood running down her leg, but she ignored it. "I should probably go clean this up," She said, waving to the lamp pile.

Dante walked over to the broken lamp. He stepped in front of Victoria, "I'll take car of this. Take a seat on the bed." Dante said as he turned towards her. He went back over and grabbed the shirt off the ground and looked at it. The grey fabric was now darker in some spots from the blood. Dante shrugged and went over in front of Victoria knelling once again. He ripped the shirt in half and wrapped on half around her hand and made sure it was tight. He wanted to control that, while he attended to her knee. "Have you ever had a bad memory turn into a dream?" Dante asked as he wrapped the shirt around her knee. He laughed at the thought. How could a memory turn into a dream? He didn't know how but it did. "It sucks. And it especially sucks when you wake yourself up screaming the last line of the memory." Dante sat down next to Victoria on the bed. He placed his hands in his lap and continued. "The lamp," Dante paused. "I hit the table out of anger. That's why the lamp fell." Dante looked over at Victoria. He wasn't used to sitting in the same bed with a girl without something happening. He began to think back to his past experiences, and he mentally punched himself, as he stood up to check on her hand and knee again. It had stopped bleeding, but the needed to wrapped with a gauze pad eventually. He smiled, "At least you won't need stitches.", he said as he sat back down next to her.

Victoria frowned when he said that he would take care of it, about to protest. But she decided against it and obeyed, sitting on the end of the bed and watched him guiltily as he pressed the shirt around her hand. She was surpised by his question, and stared at him for a moment before nodding slowly. "Yes, I have." She whispered, not going into detail about it. She smiled sadly when he went on to tell about how it sucked when it happened, but she got suspicious when he said something about the last line of the memory. She was about to confront him when he opened his mouth, and she closed her own. She blushed when he sat down, but listened when he spoke about the lamp. She tried to make eye contact with him for once and stared into his green ones, noticing there was frustration and pain in them. She nodded slowly, but shrugged. "You don't have to explain yourself, I understand." She said it truthfully, and gave him another half-hearted smile. She sighed when he stood up to check her injuries once more. "I'm fine..." She wandered off, knowing he would worry about her anyway, and vice versa if he had told her that. She laughed partly in relief, and partly in mixed emotions when he commented that she would not need stitches. She watched him sit back down before grinning at him, shaking her head. "Dante, you really are something." She murmured, meeting his eyes. She glanced away quickly, and bent her knee, inspecting it for something to do. It was awkward now, and by now he had to know she sucked at starting conversations.

Dante laughed and partly smiled. "And so are you." He said he as he sat there trying to alleviate the awkwardness between them. He scooted closer to Victoria, but not too close, in fear that she would get the wrong impression. He looked over at her, but her attention was drawn to her knee. An overwhelming sensation to turn into his old self taunted him. His mind kept telling him to make a move. That she was just like the other ones. But he refused to fall victim. He laughed a little about that. He found it ironic that he considered himself a victim, when ever other time he was the victimizing people. He told himself that he wouldn't treat Victoria like the girls in the past. He would wait for her to make the move...if that ever happened. Dante put his hand on top of hers and took in the moment. His eyes slightly wandered to his watch to check the time. The group would be coming to his house soon, but he refused to break what was happening, even if it wasn't special or deep. Dante soon began to think about past few days. He realized that the attention wasn't on him as usual, perfectly shown just a few hours back. He started to long for attention and people wanting to be in his presence. He started to get angry at himself and thought that he must have done something. He pushed that aside and tried to turn his attention back to Victoria.

Victoria's ears turned a deep shade of pink when he commented this, and she watched him laugh, smiling herself. "Thank you," She said softly. She felt the bed move a little, and she turned slightly to see out of the corner of her eyes. Dante had shifted closer to her, she realized. Again, she blushed, and turned quickly the other way, but didn't move farther away either. She felt his hand move on top of hers, and she turned her head to stare at his face for a moment, getting a serious expression for a moment. She had to force herself not to do anything stupid right then, like kiss him for instance. Her cheeks flushed at the thought, but she didn't remove his hand. In fact, she had to admit it felt nice. She felt a tingly feeling move throughout her body, and she didn't mind that either. She closed her eyes, making sure she took it all in, so she could later remember this time; the way his skin had felt on hers, the way she felt about it, his smile, his eyes...She got a dreamy look on her face, thinking about it. After a few minutes she shook out of it and hoped he hadn't noticed, but when she snuck a peek at him he seemed to be thinking as well. She giggled, not being able to help herself. Soon she was full out laughing, and she didn't know why. By this time, she had a feeling Dante thought she was going crazy. She couldn't stop laughing for a few moments, and when she finally did, she turned and gave Dante a happy, full-on grin. "I'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me." She shook her hand, silent again. "What are you thinking about?" She blurted out, watching his expressions carefully, afraid she had stepped over the line at any time.
