Jaydine I've been to his work like twice in the past three years... Though that's a good idea... So has anyone come across reeking cave? I stumbled across it and for some reason not only was it not marked on my map when I found it, I can't find anything on uesp about it. I found a stone of bazariah (sp) in there and it was like one room, super small for a cave but when I looked at my map it appeared it should be bigger then it was allowing me to survey. Even after I left it wasn't marked on my map which is super weird... So ya I checked out uesp to try and see if this was just one of the ps3 glitches but ya didn't really even find a page devoted to reeking cave.... So, anyone?
If that doesn't work tell him he gets no "loving" until he brings the disk home. XD
Reeking Cave doesn't appear on the world map at all, its a small cave like you said that is used to escape the Thalmor Embassy during the mission "Diplomatic Immunity" Beth moved that SOB into the cave as its not possible (without "glitching") to reenter that part of the Embassy if you missed it during that mission. The cave has a upper and lower part, there part with the actual outside cave entrance is the lower half. You were not meant to be able to reenter the Embassy from below.

Deranged Hero "So, I've rented Kingdoms of Amalur: The Reckoning. Rather enjoying it, it feels like a crossover of a bunch of games, I get a distinct Fable-y feeling as I play it, but with the depth of The Elder Scrolls(plenty of books laying around to read and... er steal). The areas aren't massive, but not too small either, with plenty of quests... though, I suppose I am only at the begining, and things could change.
May actually look into buying it though." Funny, that's what Yahtzee reviewed this week. He said pretty much the same thing. The charismatic stallion that he is called it "baby's first Skyrim."

Yes punishable by the death penalty and loss of console/pc that you play it on.

Is it less deplorable if the entire hypothetical argument is based purely on gameplay and UI?

No it's still pretty much like you just sacrificed a baby to the Reapers. I give ME2 bonus points from its "improved" combat, but the lack of a true inventory system for an RPG and less skill customization renders those bonus points moot. biggrin

I just played both straight through for the first time. Bioware has become sort of lame to me since KOTOR, which I played when I was a kid. Kotor was solid. I really didn't like Dragon Age, but I still ended up playing it. I never got an opportunity to play Mass effect until just now, and now that I have I think I can make the judgement call that Bioware has always sucked balls at menus. Their games are not structurally RPG's, they are interactive movies with a funky pretense towards RPGing. The gameplay for mass effect 1 was a bunch of tedious duckshooting and dicking around in a poorly designed vehicle. The second game didn't really try to say it was an RPG, it was a legitimate shooter with an actual plot, which is rare.
Both had a great story.
I think you can look forward to hating everything Bioware does in the near future, though. Dragon Age 2 had hardly any respectable menu systems, and was a godawful crock of s**t in every category but dialog.

I haven't played the other games Bioware have launched. I did almost get KOTOR but I picked up Morrowind instead. Long story any who. Bioware at least with my exp with it has solid plot and story. I do admit at times that the ME1 Inventory system could be a pain at times but to get rid of it entirely in ME2 made upset me. WHAT Y NO LUV FOR THE MAKO? lol na I'm kidding that thing was crazy but a good kind of crazy. I'll continue to play ME just so I can find out what happens to Shep, but from the stuff i've seen from ME3 things that they removed in ME2 are coming back for ME3 so I'm happy about that.

Feh. Things said in moments of anger a happy Supi does not make.
My spring break is going to be busy. I should schedule in a day (or a couple hours each day maybe) to relax. Write some more bite sized fics, roam the countryside in skyrim, see what mischief I can get into...
Well the latter one I don't have to try all that hard really.

Dragon Age 2 had hardly any respectable menu systems, and was a godawful crock of s**t in every category but dialog. You never played Jade Empire did you? That game was the best Bioware game I had ever played. To be honest, Dragon Age had a good world, an interesting premise, but was over all, by Bioware standards, s**t. Bioware still has a spotless record in my book because It sold alot and was a passable RPG, but it was their Oblivion in alot of ways. ( I am pretending Dragon Age 2 doesn't exist) Mass Effect is the spiritual sequel to Jade Empire. It gets rid of the stupid D&D system thrown into the game ( For those of you who didn't know the KotOR system was ripped right out of the D&D core rule book. I think it was 2nd edition) in lieu of a third person shooter system which apart from the AI issues in the first one ( that I personally had no issue with) worked really well. The storyline is fantastic, the characters are great, and I liked driving sections and planet exploration from the first one, and I even enjoyed the planet scanning from the second one a little, but the really spectacular thing about the game is the fact that not only is there a Play+ system in place but there is also something that I am fairly certain has never been done in the history of VG-RPGs. You carry over experience and choices from the previous game into the sequel. ( if it has been done before then it has not been done enough, goddammit) This was a feat in my eyes. Fantastic. When Mass Effect came out I was not surprised at Dragon Age in the least. I knew Dragon Age 2 wasn't going to be great either. Both games have merits, but for the most part, I have to give it to Mas Effect 2. I liked the ability to change the color of your armor and to be honest the only choice end of game in ME1 for armors is Colossus Heavy or Medium or Mantis Light.

That's a brilliant oldie. I don't know how many other people did get to play it. Nobody ever talks about it in relation to Bioware's progress towards 'perfecting' a character development experience, because it never became a franchise (didn't really need to). Of course I'm not a huge Bioware fan, although I like to play their games. Much more fond of Bethesda.

As far as the company goes, Bioware is tied with Bethesda for first place for my favorite developer. I have enjoyed every game I have played from both, granted some more than others.
