Thana stirred softly again, as if even while in her deep sleep, she could sense an even greater presence close by. And close it was, as her father, in his fluffy wolfie form finally settled down after he circled around a few times, that little move always made Ariel end up giggling. It was his most amusing thing in wolf form! As his wing extended to cover young Thana, the silver haired Reaper child turned a little, still asleep, but her back was now against Ariel so that she could snuggle into Kaden's soft wing. Following next was a sleepy voice, as if she were talking in her sleep. "...Thana..loves..daddy.." She held onto the wing a little more, her comfort level increased to it's max in his presence, and if they tried to look, they might even see the tiniest hint of a smile on her sleeping face.

"Aww....You're so loved, Mr.Wolfie Boyfriend!" Ariel thought to him. "And also so cute with her.." She smiled, reaching her free hand out to gently stroke the top of his head. "I'm a little jealous, I don't get to snuggle you that much!" She teased with a playful smile. Obviously she was playing with him. His daughter would need his attention more then she did, even if it was a little hard. Of course she wanted to spend time with Kaden all the time, but he had things to do too! "Seeing how you are with Thana, it just tells the story of the future. It's why Lily is so happy, and almost always smiling. Your the best wolfie dad out there, you know that?" Boy if she was saying these things out loud, and a random stranger came in on them, how freaky weird would she seem? Ariel booped him playfully on the nose with her finger. "Your extra-extra loved by me though!"
Little did the two know, was of the creeping white wolf up in the rafters above them. So, this was a kind of daring move for the clumsy Lily, but the wooden boards were pretty decent as far as width and durability, despite their old age, they were holding up well. Not even a creek to alert them of her presence. She seemed to have better balance in her wolf form then her human form, her clumsiness would probably send her falling from the rafters had she tried to simply walk across them and 'spy' as she was doing. Did she really forget about the number one well known thing about Serenitians and their abilities to sense specific presence's? Especially family which was always far stronger then just any other Serenitian.

"Embrace your dreams, and, whatever happens, protect your SOLDIER honor."

The Buster Sword on his back felt particularly heavy today as Zack stared up through the hole in the ceiling, seeing the gentle light drifting into the church. "...." The former-SOLDIER lowered his head, closing his eyes in contemplation. And as he did, his Digital Mind Wave flashed out before him mentally, flashing through visions of his past...
"No, I'm Aerith!"
"You're a little more important than my sword..."
"You ignorant traitors..."
"Well, I'm a country boy, too."
"We will all... join the Lifestream..."
"This is my job!"
"...I'd like to spend more time with you."
"If only I were SOLDIER..."
"Zack... I thank you."
"Wings... symbolize freedom for those who have none."
"I'll be here."
"I'm... your living... legacy..."
"No matter what, I have to protect Ariel."
"Well, I'm only cool because I have such a cool father, you know!"
"Maybe mom will be more attracted to you."
"This arm shows what people see me as--but Unisha makes me feel like I belong."
"I was a SOLDIER too, you know. But... Isabel was more important to me..."
"Oh, Zack..."
"Zack..."
"Hey! Zack!"
"Dad!"
"Daddy!"
".........."
"...You're the closest thing to a father I've ever had."
Zack opened his eyes, raising his head once more, a newfound determination on his features. "Everything I've been through... and everything I've done... it's led me to this." He reached back, gripping the handle of the Buster Sword that weighed so heavily on his back. "I'll protect those I have in memory of those I've lost. ...And I will save Sephriea. No matter what." The determination was that of a father wanting to protect their child. Even if she wasn't his by blood, it made no difference to Zack--he would see her through this unharmed. If Sephiroth tried to hurt her, Zack would do what he had to. Even if she thought it's what she wanted--he wouldn't allow it. Not now, and not ever.
Turning now, he left the church that meant so much to him, leaving with his steadfast determination.

A blast of light bathed the outside of the church, from it stumbled out two young adult figures. One a blonde man dressed in battered clothes, denim pants and a ragged hooded jacket. On his back a younger looking women dressed in ceremonial looking garb just as ragged as his. The young man propped the girl against a wall of the church and looked down at her placing to fingers on her neck. ”light pulse, good she’s still alive that’s a relief. Hmm but where are we? This doesn’t look like the seventh huldrin district nor does it look like the wind shrine...” the man said lightly as he sat next to the girl coming his hood, his face was young looking but a scar crossed over his left eye reaching up to his blonde hair, his eyes burning with a blazing red color. The women had silken white hair with a few strands of red streaming down across her face, not blood but dye. “well wherever that light brought us it’s far from the reavers that destroyed the crystal...dammit!” he shouted as her punched the ground as her fell over abit doing so. ”we promised to keep it safe, it was our holy duty...but it’s gone....the crystal fell to the reavers the young man began lamenting over a failed battle that his worn body told well enough they had been though hell.

Most teenage girls might of liked to spend their day in their room, wasting their lives away with sleep in a comfortable soft, plush bed. But that was most girls, Ariel was not like the rest of the girls her age! Her place of comfort was the very front pew, where she was sprawled out and looking strangely comfortable in her sleep. Her face was resting flat against the hard surface of the wooden bench seats, and one arm hanging off the edge. It looked as though with any sudden movement she would end up falling right off and onto the floor. Yep. This was Aerith and Zack's daughter, so proud they must have been. She seemed to be giggling in her sleep, too. Just what was she dreaming off now?

And just like that, a flash of light illuminated the inside of the church, coming strongly through the stained glass windows. Ariel's eyes snapped open, but at that very moment, the heavy thud to the floor really helped to snap her to attention when she tried to jump up, and ended up falling onto the floor instead. Being wakened so suddenly by bright blasts of light was probably not how she expected to wake up! "...! A-Aliens?! " She crawled herself under the pew she was sleeping on, peeking out ever so slowly, as if waiting for a pair of aliens to burst through the doors!

But nothing came, and all seemed to go quiet. The light was also gone, having disappeared almost seconds after it's great awakening blast. "....What waaaas that?? " She questioned to no one in particular, she was alone here after all! Her curiosity got the best of her, of course, and she began to creep herself out from under the pew and eventually getting to her feet. "....Okay..! I'm brave...I can do this...no aliens are going to abduct me! " She put on a brave face, and began to march forward to the doors of the church! With her hands setting on the door, she took a moment, taking a deep breath before suddenly pushing them open! ".....!! " And...closed it almost immediately with a little screech of terror. "..I'm not that brave after all...!! I don't want to face any aliens!! "
She remained there for a few more moments, it was all to quiet still. If it were anything harmful or with evil intentions, wouldn't it of broken the doors down by now to get to her? Was she being the biggest chicken in the world and letting her crazy imagination take over again? Ariel let out a deep sigh, trying to fix her terrified expression to look at least half-brave. Clearly she was not! Slowly, she pushed the doors open again, and would peek her head out of the church doors ever so slowly..

And upon realization, there were no 'aliens' at all. Nothing scary waited outside for her, not even a giant space ship! No, just two figures. Two adult figures, and one of them appeared to be injured. Well, Ariel suddenly felt very silly, but wouldn't let that bother her right now. The two obviously were not in great shape, and looked like they had gone through a terrible battle. Suddenly, she wasn't so scared anymore, and the caring, slightly smarter Ariel had returned as she hurried over to the two strangers.."You're hurt! " That much was obvious, she could see that herself, they were not okay. "..I can heal you both! If...you'll let me? I won't hurt you! "

With a sudden voice ringing out the ma within instinct turn with a blaze of fire forming in his hand, which shortly exploded into a a large ablaze claymore and pointed it toward the voice. To his shock it was a young girl and his grip on the claymore dropped down as the flaming sword hit the ground it vanishing to cinders. "Heal? Wait! You can heal!" the man said in shock as he turned quickly to the unconscious girl laying against the wall. "can you heal my sister? She barely had a pulse and I lack the healing talents of shrine maidens" he walked over to the other girl, his sister and held her up more " can you please help her, I can't lose her after fighting so hard to protect her! If Ariel had breaks built into her shoes, she would certainly had used them, but instead she would stop short in her rush to help the two mysterious ones. "Ahh! Wait! I'm not here to hurt you! " Sneaking up on people suddenly was kind of Ariel's downfall sometimes, she would probably not have a good long life if she kept that up. Surprising unsuspecting, battle-ready folk was never a good idea!

But nothing would happen, lucky for Ariel, as she watched the same blazing clay-more clatter to the ground and vanish into cinders. "S-Sorry! I didn't mean to sneak up so suddenly.." Those were words she didn't realize how many times she said them already. "Well, um..Yes! I mean, i'm not a spectacular healer like my mother, but I can heal well enough that she's no longer in danger. " Her mothers healing was much more powerful and successful, but Ariel had never had any problem healing injured citizens and sometimes like in this case, those who seemed dangerously close to death. She nodded to him, again hurrying forward the moment he tried to pick his sister up, he didn't need to struggle further if she could just hurry and heal the girl. "Can I ask...what happened? " She questioned as she rested the palms of her hands over the girls arm gently, immediately he would see a soft golden glow illuminate from her hands, and seem to flow of that same glow of healing energy into his sister, which would begin to flow throughout her body, healing any injury she may of sustained and if luck was on their side, give her a little extra boost of energy that she possibly lost.

Within the empty church, the beautifully bloomed flowers seemed to glisten, as though morning due gathered along the pedals, but clearly, there was no rising sun, it was dark outside and only the moon light really shined through the stained glass windows of the church, just enough to catch the faint glistening. It was within moments, that a rather beautiful light show began as swirls of green blue light ascended into the air, the very familiar light of the Lifestream..
In the center of the flowers, the Lifestream seemed to be gathering there heavily, causing a great amount of light in that area that only lasted seconds before just as quickly as it appeared, it was gone...
But where the Lifestream had gathered so suddenly, was no longer just a bed of flowers, but the form of a young woman laying there unconscious..Her breathing very shallow, but very slowly in those moments becoming more stable.Still, she didn't seem to wake up...

The large wooden doors of the church would slowly open, as if the one behind it was struggling with all their might to open the heavy doors! It would become apparent why such a struggle occurred. The young brown haired little cetra was peeking her way in through the gap she managed to create, before slipping through it like a little slippery snake. Why struggle and open it wide when she could slip through like so? She took a moment to look ahead of her, toward the flower bed. The pretty orbs and streams of the Lifestream were like a magic show to the young ones eyes, but in some way she felt some strange connection, as though she were drawn here. Why was that? She didn't fully understand.

As she was watching the steams fade away, Ifalna's eyes came to settle on the form of a young woman, she wore some interesting armor, and had brown hair but set into a pony tail. Why was there a lady sleeping in her mothers flowers? She must of been really sleepy.Making her way toward her, her feet barely made a sound on the wooden floors, she was very light weight, and still quite small. Dropping to her knees, the little girls eyes watched as the mysterious woman remained asleep soundly in the flowers, even after a little poke to the womans arm, she didn't seem to stir. "You must be real sleepy..The flowers must be so comfy! "

Unlike the glow of pretty teal-green streams of the Life Stream, large, dark orbs suddenly appeared there. Ifalna would not notice this as they were appearing only a few feet behind her, and her attention was far to set on the mysterious lady sleeping in the flower bed. She would remain oblivious, until a hand came down over her shoulder, and while not hurting her, she did keep a strong grip on her to be certain she wouldn't run away. Lowering to the girls level, Nora's deep yellow eyes looked into the little girls eyes, as if immediately sensing something..."Hmmmm...How very strange. I feel the touch of death's presence, but not exactly as I expected..Not like her, for example.." She gestured to the woman sleeping there." Could it be, was your dear mommy returned to life? Or perhaps your ol'sweet daddy? Or maybe...both? What an interesting situation! This makes things only slightly more difficult. I have never taken the life of one so young. But it can't be helped...can it? You're parents are the Death Touched, who were returned to life. This should never have happened, you see. This is merely a glitch of a confused planet! Those who have passed on, have no right be granted returned life..It isn't right, the balance of Life and Death must continue on....and I will be the one to restore things as they were. You, little child, also should not be alive...Your existence is an anomaly that should never have been." She began to rise, her hand still keeping hold of Ifalna, while her focus returned to the sleeping woman... "But first, I will start with her before she wakes..save the pain of realization that she was one of the Returned.."

"It's interesting to hear a Reaper talk about trying to help the planet." Nora would feel the blade of a spear gently press against the back of her neck. If she knew anything about the biggest enemies to Reapers, she might recognize the one who was at the top of the list. "Did Krul put you up to this? I know she's still alive. Where is she...? Explain exactly what your intentions are if you don't want to die." He seemed willing to hear her out at least. He expected there may be some anomaly in this world given everything going wrong with it, and if the Reapers understood what it was, and had a way to resolve it, it might be worth listening to what they have to say...
Another on the scene didn't seem quite as open to dialogue, however, as Nora would feel a hand grip her wrist that held Ifalna, prying it away while squeezing it tight enough to cause more than a little pain. "I think you're in the wrong place," Zack said seriously, reaching for the Buster Sword on his back.
"Hold on!"
"What?! Hold on for what?"
"I want to hear what she has to say. I've heard it said that the current state of the world--of all worlds--might cause a collapse that could lead to the end of all things." Zack grunted in response. He wasn't wrong--he had been told a very similar thing by Stark not long ago. "If she has more information than I do, I want to hear it. I want to know what can be done to repair the universe's state."
"Yeah well, if that happens... I don't know. I don't think I want to hear about it, and I definitely don't intend to just let her hurt my daughter! How are we supposed to trust her, anyway?"
"Stand down," Ephraim said seriously. "If you attack her now, I will stop you."
"..." Zack took Ifalna by the hand, pulling her to stand behind him, just in case. It seemed this Reaper was currently under Ephraim's protection--at least for the moment. What an odd situation...

"Oh,here comes the hero.." She didn't seem to afraid of the blade that now pressed to the back of her neck, as she turned to face Ephraim. Her smile widened as she looked into the kings eyes. "Did Krul put me up to this? Not at all, I do as I please, I take orders from no one..Be it the Queen, oh, FORMER Queen, or current, you're little bunny. I'll explain nothing to you, you silly king. Some of my girls may be idiots, but i'm not one to spill every detail to my enemies. " Her focus set on Ephraim, so she didn't notice the surprise sneaking of the dark haired male until it was painfully brought to her attention, in the form of her hand being squeezed harshly. This man was quite strong, to get her grip off of her once possession.

"Ahaha..." The situation was growing interesting between the two men, Ephraim was just that desperate to know some piece of information that he would attack the other one who wanted only to protect his precious daughter. "Oh, cutie..I think maybe you shouldn't trust him..So open to attack you just for doing the right thing. I wonder, how would he react if it was his own daughter in this same situation? " Such an interesting thought! ...Though she had no real interest in his. They weren't touched by Death! Though, someone very close to him was..........

Just as the dark haired man was. "He,he..I have no information on this end of all things, however, the only endings will be to interlopers, if they get in the way of my mission." A black orb suddenly appeared behind Zack, while another two would form at the doorway of the church, and the second set to block the other doorway to the back of the church. They would have no escape, but maybe through the glass windows. That's if of course, Zack didn't avoid the black swirling mass behind him, a void that would soon began to pull him toward it in the form of a black hole. "Now then, it's easier if you don't resist so much! Death has graced you with it's touch once, has it not? It's about time you rejoin it, that is your destiny. You can both go together, as both father and daughter. On the other hand, I can be very generous and offer you to all return together as one big happy family. Or we can do it the fun way, I will send you back to the darkness, and then find your other half, and any other little ones you have roaming around. What will it be? "

"You have a strange idea of what a hero is," Ephraim said calmly as he didn't budge. He didn't exactly fancy himself some lofty title as hero. He just did what was best for himself and his people, as well as those around him. "Is that how it's going to be... Rethinking your stance would save you pain. If you won't cooperate you're more useful to me as a corpse." At least then she couldn't try to threaten anyone close to him.
As the void appeared behind Zack, he quickly stabbed the Buster Sword into the ground, holding onto it and Ifalna to ensure neither of them were drawn in. ...It seemed like Nora was a bit too wrapped up in her monologue to realize she had done nothing to stop the bigger threat with the demon-slaying spear, which would soon find its way directly into her sternum. That searing, hellish pain from the weapon's bonus damage would feel like an explosion within her skin as he forced his weight into her, intending to force her down onto her back with the spear lodged into her. He stepped forward, forcing his boot down harshly into her shoulder, intended to keep her pressed there on the floor. He kept his eyes narrowed fiercely into hers. "Are you still so sure you don't want to negotiate?" Given the horrifying pain Reapers were forced to endure when pierced by Siegmund's blade, it might be a good tool for persuasion.

Unlike ditsy Krul, or most Reaper's, Nora could get a good word in, but doing so wouldn't leave her open to attack as it seemed Ephraim thought, she was fully aware of what he was doing thanks to the voids she created. They not only were portals to a whole new, dead realm but also acted as her eyes, able to see everything, anywhere a void was, no matter where she left one in the world, she could see everything. So as Ephraim raised the spear and stabbed it into her, while she did fall back out of surprise, he might notice something wasn't quite right. She wasn't screaming out in pain, there was absolutely no pain in her eyes."Mm..I wonder, you must enjoy this sight...how many times did you look down upon Krul like this? " She grinned up at him. "Quite a few, it seems.." He would know exactly what she was talking about. The area where the spear was lodged into her, he would see wasn't her body at all, but a dark swirling mass of yet another void, but this time this one was apart of her own body. The pull would begin, as it began to suck Siegmund into it. "How much are you attached to this weapon? If you don't want to be stuck in darkness of eternity, I think you best let go now. "

Obviously, this wasn't Ephraim's first foray into combat, nor was it his first with a Reaper. When she didn't give the reaction he expected, his senses were instinctively heightened--she was obviously going to try something. "I think you're a little confused about the positions we used. It was primarily the other way around." He paused a moment. "She did step on me a lot though, so it's not that inaccurate." She did a lot of things to and with him he didn't exactly agree to at first. "Tch," He expected some kind of other void to appear, though it was a bit surprising to see it come from a part of her own body. Regardless, this could be used to his advantage. It was a good thing Ephraim could think on his feet, as he spread his legs enough to have a steady stance, but kept one of his feet pressed against her throat, and held the spear. The more the void attempted to draw in his spear, the more Ephraim's boot would crush down into her throat. The question was if she would give before his grip did. He was quite strong, however, and he had no intention of letting go of the sacred spear.
