 Amelia nodded her thanks quietly to Kalle, a smile playing on her lips. "I love it here. Can students work here during the summer too?" This was home. Not that she didn't love her mother, she did very much, she just always knew she was an outsider. That she was weird, or into rubbish as her father put it. And she loved her father, she was proud to be his daughter, whether he approved of what she was doing at the moment. Realizing her smile was fading as her thoughts started to flow, she stopped them, glancing back at the teacher.

Thought | Spoken Word | Action 'Unfortuantely, I do not think so,' Kalle said, frowning slightly. She hated to see the girl fall in love with this place and then have it taken from her so suddenly. She wondered if there was some way she could find out and allow her to stay here. As Ammy's smile faded, Kalle thought it was due to the fact she could not stay at Hogwarts during the summers. 'There is an exception to every rule, though,' she added subtly.

Sighing heavily, she was about to frown when the maybe answer came up. Hope mingled with the fatigue in her eyes as she replied, "I know I'll probably have to be a little older, but my brother works during the summer; mom seems to appreciate it a lot. And I'd still be able to see her." At that time, the maybe was enough of a possibility to keep her happy. "I'd love helping too." She let herself guess at possible jobs she'd do around the castle: if she spent the summer there, she'd definitely would learn everything quickly.
((Thank you by the way; you're helping me figure out what I'm doing with her over the summer.))

Thought | Spoken Word | Action Kalle smiled at the thought that for now Ammy was satisfied with a simple maybe. She looked about the grounds, as if doing so would help her find something such a young girl would be able to do throughout the summer. Were it allowed, Kalle considered even taking her on as her own apprentice. 'I am sure there is something you would be able to do. You learn quickly and are obviously willing to do almost anything here,' Kalle murmured. She had almost become lost in her own train of thought as she replied.

Amelia raised an eyebrow, watching her think. She had to study her to see each thought pass through her eyes. She nodded in agreement with what she was saying, as if to encourage her but she truly was curious why the teacher seemed so focused on it. A lot of Ammy's desire to be here would be to avoid her father, for he wouldn't need to know about the magical side of her, or for a quick option if he found out. But Kalle didn't know that, right? So why was she considering it strongly? Amelia couldn't possibly have been the first to want to stay here.
((I have bits and pieces but I have to put them together so that they make sense.))

Thought | Spoken Word | Action Kalle realized she had probably seemed desperate to find a way to allow Ammy to stay. That wasn't entirely false. She wanted to be able to give her students what they needed to be happy. If that was a chance to stay at Hogwarts during the summer, she would be sure to make it happen; someway and somehow.

Amelia continued to watch her though if she wasn't careful her eyes would go blurry as they tried to close. There was something about Kalle that was different. Not bad, probably good that added to her calm demeanor. It was like she had a net over her emotions to keep them under control. But if she was like her, she would have mention it. So what was different? Maybe it was just that she was tired.

Thought | Spoken Word | Action The poor young girl's eyes were appearing heavier each moment she stayed awake. Judging by how hard she fought to stay awake, Kalle guessed she was trying to solve some mystery she found an incredibly pressing matter. Kalle looked down at Ammy, giving her a kind smile. She wondered how much longer she would attempt to stay awake, or if she would ever give in to exhaustion. 'If you are that exhausted, you can go to sleep. I can take you to your dorm if you wish. I wouldn't mind,' she whispered softly.

Amelia shook her head, about to protest. "I stayed up a little late last night." she tried to excuse herself, embarrassed by her fatigue. It was very much a waste of time, as she'd tried to see if she could levitate her shoes and walk in them. If she'd just waited a day she'd realize that Wingardium Leviosa was not strong enough to carry a person, as Sparrow falling proved. Rubbing her eyes, she nodded in defeat. "Yeah, I need to go to bed...I can probably make it to the common room." Sure, she doubted that she'd be able to answer the knocker's riddle, and she forgot that students weren't supposed to wander the halls at night, but she was willing to try.

Amelia stretched upon standing, turning her back to Kalle as she answered, "I was practicing for Charms." Bending down, she picked up her unused towel and picked up her shoes. Her socks got wet from the dew. She could walk barefoot. "Where do you sleep?" Her pride refused to let her be walked to bed, but if it was on the way, then they could easily walk together.

Thought | Spoken Word | Action Kalle nodded knowingly as Amelia explained why she was up late. She remembered many a sleepless night from doing schoolwork. 'Well, I sleep in the teacher's office. Our ways would part when we reached the staircase to the Ravenclaw tower,' Kalle explained. Her eyes seemed to focus on a point far out of sight as she pictured a map of the castle in her mind, tracing and planning their steps. She smiled at Amelia when she had finished her route in her mind, offering to join her if she wished. It was getting rather late, and Kalle reasoned it was time to go to bed, whether she felt truly tired or not.

Finding no other reason not to, Amelia consented but unconciously worded her response, "I'll walk with you." as if she was helping Kalle out instead. Smothering a yawn, she hung the towel over her shoulder. She stretched her arms upwards for a moment, then glanced at Kalle, "Unless of course, you want to stay out longer." She was starting to admit she probably did need to sleep.

Thought | Spoken Word | Action Figuring that Amelia was bold enough to honestly tell her she wished to walk alone, Kalle stood to join her on her way into the castle. 'I should probably get some sleep myself,' she muttered between two large yawns. She was surprised to find herself yawning as well; it had been a long time since she had been tired enough to do so.

Amelia nodded. She was clueless what time it was, but it certainly was late. Though she hadn't gotten any homework done this evening, she had enjoyed it and that was enough. Sure, the gillyweed was still a mystery to her, as was the entire lake, but she felt as if she'd made a friend, a very important one. She walked with her inside, not minding her company at all. She had every intention of going to sleep. She knew that Kalle was still a teacher, and would frown about her exploring, but tonight those ideas weren't on her plans, simple sleep. And perhaps to sleep in, through breakfast. Yes, that sounded wonderful. She forgot her shoes, being used to walking almost everywhere barefoot.
