Kedrick nodded his head with a smile. "Okay, let's get this under way then, because we certainly don't want to miss out on dessert." He said with a laugh, his smile widening. Kedrick carefully picked up one of the trays of meat, and watching closely so as to not spill the meat juice in the bottom of the pan.He paused in front of the oven door, moving slightly forward and then rocking back again. Finally, he set the pan on top of the stove so he could open the oven door without balancing the pan in one hand. Kedrick generally wasn't one to be very clumsy. But every so often, he'd end up doing something scatter brained like not being able to figure out how to get the oven door open when his hands where full. He smiled slightly, picking up the pan again and setting it in, feeling the warmth of the preheated oven on his hands and wrists.
He looked up at the ceiling thoughtfully, after closing the oven door and setting the timer."I wonder where Dimitri got off to..." He said thoughtfully, glancing over at Maria. "Most likely still exploring the house...yeah, I'm definitely going to hear about how I never change anything..." He said with a smirk.
((A town somewhere in England? Like, not really huge, but a decent size. And I always imagined Kedrick's Estate set away from the town a ways, like on a nice grassy hill or something but still within walking distance if you take the road. ^w^ Sound okay to you? ))

Maria nodded in agreement and helped Kedrick put the meat away to cook, smiling at his comment about dessert. She realized that she should've made sure that the oven door was already opened so that Kedrick wouldn't have to struggle with it, or even accidentally drop the food. When he set the one pan he was carrying on the stove and opened the oven. With a small smile of relief, Maria put the pan she was carrying into the oven and placing it next to the pan Kedrick settled in.
When Kedrick mentioned Dimitri, she realized that she hadn't seen him since he was "kicked" out of the kitchen. Maria herself needed a tour of Kedrick's estate someday, but at the time being, she needed to focus on the rest of dinner. "Alright Lieutenant Kedrick, time to work on these noodles and vegetables. We've got a bunch of hungry soldiers we need to satisfy and this food won't prepare itself," she paused with a smile, giggling at her own silliness before going over to the cut vegetables. "Forward, march!"
Arielle woke up, after not knowing how long she was asleep before sitting up slowly with a yawn. Looking down, she noticed that her covers had been pit over her and that her lights were off. She knew that she did nothing with that, especially since immediately fell asleep when she entered her room. She knew that it had to be either Kedrick, Dimitri, or Maria who did that nice gesture for her. With a small smile, she got out her bed slowly, thinking it would be appropriate to clean herself up after yesterday. She closed her door and turned on her lights, taking in the sight of her room once more. Then, with careful steps, she headed to her bathroom and took one of the most relaxing showers she ever had since moving into Kedrick's estate.

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Kedrick's grin broadened at Maria's goofyness. In a way, he was glad he and Arielle wern't the only ones that played these silly games. He straightened up, clicking his heels together. "Yes Ma'am!" He said, saluting her with a smirk and picking up the noodles, leaving Maria free to do other things. Dimitri in the meanwhile, had founded a Victorian style sitting room with a glass door leading out onto a small balcony. He smiled slightly, leaning on the railing and breathing in the soothing, cool evening air. Being here at the estate always gave Dimitri a feeling of peace and safety that he had found at few other places. A soft breeze rustled his dark hair, and he looked up, hearing the chime of a clock somewhere inside the room. Dimitri straightened up, stepping back through the glass door and back into the sitting room. He walked over to the old fashioned clock that was mounted on the wall. He rubbed his chin thoughtfully as it chimed six o'clock. The dark hair boy smiled slightly and walked back down stairs, poking his head into the kitchen. "Something smells good in here." He commented lazily, a thin smirk playing on his lips."Hey" Kedrick called with a smile. "About time you showed up, C'mmon in, I'm sure it's safe to let you chop vegetables." He teased lightly, but there was warmth in his voice.

(Okay, time to time skip this puppy so they can finally have dinner 8D.) Maria giggled once again as Kedrick confirmed her order, returning back to preparing dinner. It wasn't long before Dimitri popped his head in the kitchen and commented on Maria's cooking. Normally, if it was anyone else, she would comment about how her cooking was good, but with her recent attraction with Dimitri, she noticed that she felt more shy about it. She smiled at him and giggled lightly when Kedrick commented that it was safe for Dimitri to chop up the vegetables. "C'mon chico," Maria said with a sweet smile, "We'll make sure you don't ruin dinner."
In about two and a half hours, Maria, with the assistance of Kedrick and Dimitri, had finished making their huge celebration feast. Even from the top of the house, the sweet smell of Hispanic cooking was present, making anyone's mouth water. The table was neatly set up, and their food was laid out neatly.
Maria looked at everything with a proud smile, glad that everything turned out perfectly. "Boys, I present to you our dinner. This first dish here is Chorizo," she began, pointing at said dish before continuing and pointing at the rest, "Then we have Cazulea, Locro, and Fideuà. For Arielle, we have her wonderful Gazpacho, which even I want now. For our drinks, we have Kas and Mirinda. And then, to top off our entire meal, our deserts, which are laid neatly in between our main courses, are alfajores and churros. Now, all we need to do is get Arielle and then we can dig in."
"Oh don't worry about that, Maria," Arielle said with a small smile, standing outside the kitchen wearing a simple shirt, sweatpants, and some warm socks, her hair falling all the way down to halfway down her chest. "The smell of dinner was enough to bring me downstairs. All of you did a fantastic job. I really can't wait to eat my Gazpacho now. This feast is just wonderful."

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Dimitri leaned over slightly so that he'd be able to smell the Spainish meal better. He breathed in deeply, following it with a soft sigh. "I don't know how to say any of that, but it smells great!" He said, looking up at Maria with a bright smile that made him look oddly childish. His eyes seemed to reflect any light from around the room, his black hair tousled slightly so that it fell in thin locks over his bright dark eyes. Dimitri blinked, suddenly aware that he was staring at Maria. His cheeks went pink, and he looked down quickly, and then back up, smiling to cover for his blush. "Well...We don't want this to get cold hm?" he asked, pulling up his chair and sitting down. Kedrick smiled, nodding his head in agreement. "Right," He said, turning to Arielle and pulling out her chair for her, pecking her lightly on the cheek as she went by. "Nice to see you up again by the way." He said with a light hearted smile. Kedrick sat down in his own chair, pulling out a severing spoon. "Shall we begin?"

"Don't worry Dimitri, I'll teach you how to sat it," Maria said with light laugh, "And thank you for your sweet words Arielle, but nothing shall ever compare to your cooking." When she finished her sentence, she felt eyes on her and looked back at the smiling Dimitri, finding herself smile as well. Again she felt her heart race but she could never stop herself from staring back at Dimitri until he broke away. She felt herself blush lightly and nodded in agreement, making her way to her own seat as well.
Arielle smiled lightly, knowing that was going to happen sooner or later. She smiled at Kedrick and felt herself blush as Kedrick kissed her cheek. She thanked him quietly for pulling her chair out and could only do nothing else but just smile. "I believe it would be a shame to just stare at the food after you all worked so hard on it. So you shall begin."
Maria nodded in agreement, already excited about trying her meal. "Enjoy the food everyone."

"Now, now Kedrick," Maria said with a small grin, "The doctor said no solid foods for Arielle or she'll return back to the hospital. And we don't want her to go back after she just got home."
Arielle sighed, realizing how true her best friend was. Even though she really wanted to eat everything else that Maria had cooked, she had to abide by the doctor's orders. "I'd so think you made this wonderful meal just to tempt me silly Maria," Arielle said with a grin as she took a taste of her Gazpacho, realizing the familiarity of the recipe.
Maria giggled and filled her plate with food. "Only because I love you, Arielle. It's the reason why I put some of our favorite dishes and desserts on the table even though we all know you can't eat them."
Arielle looked at Maria and made a face at her before the two girls broke out into laughter.
(It's alright. Probably not my best again either. Probably being tired by the work of all these college applications.)

"Then you wouldn't have passed the delicious dinner in my face, Kedrick," Arielle jokingly accusing him, her grin brightening up. "To think that my own boyfriend would do such a cruel thing as to tempt his own girlfriend with such delicious food."
Maria, still in her joking mood continued on with Arielle, "That's enough to strip you of your title Lieutenant Kedrick. I can't believe you would so such a foul thing like that." Again the two girls laughed and Maria noticed that Dimitri wasn't down to earth. "Maybe Colonel Dimitri might lose his title too," Maria added with a teasing grin, "He's too busy on another planet then enjoying this wonderful dinner."
"That's a crime of the first degree!" Arielle exclaimed adding another fit of giggles. It felt nice to her to return back home, enjoying a wonderful dinner and joking around with her friends. She knew that she would love to spend everyday like this, or at least more days like this. She continued eating her Gazpacho, somewhat glad she was able to eat it again, despite the fact that she couldn't enjoy everything else. This is probably the best dinner I've had in a long time, Arielle thought with a gentle smile before taking a sip of her drink.

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Kedrick laughed jokingly at Maria and Arielle. "Alright, alright, I promise I won't do it again, just don't court mashle me okay?" He said, his grin widening. Dimitri startled slightly, looking up at Maria. "Colonal? Wh-What?" He asked, shaking his head and bringing himself back down to earth. "I'm sorry..." He apologized with a meek smile. "I must have spaced out...what are we talking about again?" Dimitri asked, his cheeks turning slightly pink as he rubbed the back of his neck and picked up his fork. Kedrick smiled at his friend. "Maria and I were joking earlier, she called me lieutenant, now you've been labeled as well, and Hey!" He cried indignantly, looking up at Maria with a mock injured expression. "Why is he a Colonel, and I'm only a Lieutenant?!" He asked, trying desperately to keep a straight face. "Isn't it obvious?" Dimitri asked coolly, taking a bite and swallowing before he continued. "I'm clearly more handsome, stronger will, brave than you." "You forgot modest." Kedrick grumbled, glaring over at Dimitri who looked back at him and smirked."That too, you must know me better than I do!" He said, grinning. Kedrick scowled, still playing along. "Right...." He said, his lips turning up into a sly smirk. He reached over, dipping the tip of his index finger into the Locro and wiping it on Dimitri's nose. Dimitri howled, pulling back but wasn't able to avoid the sudden assault. He gave Kedrick a black look, the Locro dripping slowly down the bridge of his nose. "That. Was uncalled for." He said coldly, and then broke into peels of laughter, fumbling for his napkin and wiping off his noes.

"Don't worry Kedrick," Arielle said with a smile, "I won't let her court marshal you."
Before Maria could answer Dimitri, Kedrick beat her to it before questioning her about why Dimitri was a Colonel and he was just a Lieutenant. To be honest, she hadn't given it much thought, just given them titles that first came to her head. She knew the military rankings since her uncle and grandfather were veterans, but she always forgot the order.
"That so isn't him being modest," Arielle teased, eating more of her Gazpacho. She was now about halfway through and she definitely didn't want to finish, so she made sure to try and take her time eating her Gazpacho. "But when did we go military? I thought we were fantasy."
"Just came to my mind," Maria said with a small grin, drinking some of her Mirinda, "But if you want me to properly give us military titles, I'm the General, Kedrick is a Brigadier General, Dimitri is a Major General, and Arielle, being my best friend, is my Lieutenant General."
Arielle paused, thinking all of their assigned ranks over before realizing something. "Dimitri is still a position higher than Kedrick. Do you favor Dimitri over my Kedrick?"
Maria started giggling, a faint blush tainting her cheeks. She wasn't trying to do that again, but it just happened. "Well excuse me, princess. We all know I'm not good with the military. Why do you think I want to have a career in law enforcement. Plus, we need to finish eating the food before everything gets cold."
"Sir, yes sir," Arielle said with a giggle, continuing eating her Gazpacho.

A playful scowl crossed his features when Dimitri's rank was once again higher than his.Dimitri smirked victoriously, but his cheeks had gone the slightest bit pink. He ducked his head with a soft laugh, going back to his food. They eat for a while in comparative silence when suddenly Dimitri looked up, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Hey, you know what would be fun?" He asked, his thoughtful expression shifting to an excited smile, he was clearly pleased with his idea. Kedrick looked up from his food. "What's that?" He asked with a smile, looking over at Dimitri. Dimitri smile widened. "Sometime, after the barbeque maybe, the four of us ought to go camping! You know, before it get's cold and everything." He said, already thinking of a nice campground they could go to, making a mental list of things they would need to bring. "Arielle will be better by that point, and we can pack up and leave for a few days, it'll be great!" He said brightly.Kedrick liked the idea more and more as Dimitri went on. "I think it sounds great! I know there are two tents in the attic, Dem and I could take one and you girls could share the other. What do you think?" He asked with a smile.

Once again the room was quiet, being a bit different then the awkward silence that Arielle has somehow grown accustomed to. It wasn't until Dimitri had mentioned something about going camping, that the silence itself seemed to disappear. She felt herself smile at Dimitri's enthusiasm and felt herself get excited herself. "I think it's a wonderful idea. I'm all for it."
"Same here!" Maria agreed with a bright grin on her face, "I know papá won't have a problem with it at all, but since he's a worrywart, he's going to make me bring a walkie talkie so if anything bad happens, he could speed away to his little girl's rescue." Maria wasn't bothered by that fact at all since she knew she was basically the baby in the household. She heard of worse overprotective father stories and was glad her father wasn't really like them. He did have his limits and his worries, but trusted Maria as well and that's what counted to her.
"Oh, and make sure you protect Maria from spiders," Arielle said, remembering something, "She has arachnophobia."
Just hearing Arielle mention spiders caused Maria to make a face in disgust. If there was one thing she couldn't stand besides a guy not being a complete gentleman was spiders.
