Justice
Justice was covered in cuts and bruises. His team was already falling back. Only ten were left from the seventy snipers. ********. They pooled their explosives and realized they wouldn't be able to stay. The best part was that their enemy was wary now, staying far away.
"Hitman, hitman, this Cherrypicker. We have made it to rally point delta. Good news and bad news. Bad news, ten Pickers left. Good news, the Cherries aren't taking another step forward. Get all of our remaining mines together and start seeding them in the killing ground. Cherry Pickers are on the way home. Out." Justice and his people started towards the wall.

They'd crafted it much like the Hindenburg Line, from the First Great War, complete with yards and yards of razor wire, listening posts and and MG nests set in concrete pill boxes only half exposed above ground. She lead the way through the wire, stepping through the narrow path and jumped the two meters down to the bottom of the trench. The rest of the men climbed down via ladders set against the fire step, precisely for that reason.
"Fifty percent watches, gentlemen; rotate every hour. Man the fire step, the listening posts and the MG nests. Get what sleep you can, eat if you can swallow."
There wouldn't be much above ground fighting for the majority of the loyalist after the Hindenburg Line. Just secondary combat trenches and communication trenches. Even the snipers, those who were still alive, would be crawling through the dust and rubble.

Wrath

Justice and his remaining ten snipers slid through the shadows. They had taken four hours to make it to the last line. He was sure Micheal would be angry, but hey, he won the battle. The sun dipped below the horizon, the afternoon passing quietly as the sins consolidated their forces.
"Cherry Picker is back at the Orchard. Over and Out." Justice told his people to go get something to eat and sleep. Justice went to the wall and sat down, rifle in between his legs and he thought on how much it had cost to keep some many alive today. They could not win the numbers game, but they could win the hearts and minds by showing them how much those people out there have to lose. He had the statistics. For every one soldier the Virtues lost six hundred soldiers under the sins influence died. It still wasn't enough, that had been today only with that massive artillery barrage.
'Love how will win this? We have to execute the head of the snake. We have to kill each sin and codename Light Bringer.' Justice was going to have to wade out into that ocean of sin and find his targets.

'We'll leave as soon as the darkness sets in. We should get Love and Wisdom to go out too; see if they can't get some of the mortals to switch flags.' Ysane strolled slowly through the trench, stopping here and there to have a quiet word with soldiers. She even checked in at the CCS and helped the exhausted medics up there.

Justice finally stood, he slung the rifle onto his shoulder and started towards the field hospital. That's where Strength still was. He moved through the cots of wounded. The best part is that they were under the ministration of the virtues. He watched her preform surgery using a tool decades in the future of a different time line. When she finished he handed her a towel and some water.
"Courage, Wisdom, and you and me. We are going out there and we are doing the dirty work." Justice let her finish and so he walked away and began seeking his fellow compatriots.

Lucifer stroked Envy's head softly. He wasn't sure if she was being serious. He also couldn't take the risk of having her get pregnant by his seed.

Envy smiled adoringly up at Lucifer and wrapped her arms around his neck when he picked her up.
