[Amy : LoD : Imperial Streets -> Tea Shop]

"He hacked her to pieces?" Amy repeated dumbly, brow furrowed in confusion and worry. Cory, the person she had quite literally seen fall from the sky, heard was dead, and was kind enough to actually keep her from falling. He seemed nice enough, to her at least, and came across as misunderstood; although, she did admit it was rather revealing that nearly all the other Earthlings had stopped her conversation with him. Like they knew something she didn't. Like he wasn't trustworthy. Like he had hacked one of their friends and made her bleed.

"Am I really that bad of a judge of character?" she thought.

"~..~..~..~..~" A feeling, lacking any words, a disturbing confirmation, and not meant to be comforting. It was logical. It felt like truth, like fact, like a sense of clarity. She couldn't place what it was, and quickly attempted to push the foreign feeling away. It obliged. She felt terrible as it left, like she had just done something stupid.

GOD, this was all so CONFUSING!

"I'd like Earl Grey tea. Hot," she said, wondering if anyone would understand the quote as she said it ('tis quite common in Star Trek: The Next Generation) the huge Star Trek geek that she was. She really didn't even like Earl Grey tea all the much, but Picard drank it, and the amusement that came from contemplating how big of a geek she actually was usually ended up being worth more than the comfort of drinking tea at all. It was funny, dammit. She could have giggled. In fact, she did giggle.

[Alan :: LoD :: Imperial City Streets -> Tea Shop]

Alan had continued to nod silently throughout Kyla's account, only speaking once, in response to Amy's reaction to Cory's reported violence. "He sounds like a monster," he said, oddly wistfully. His eyes scanned the picture on Kyla's pages for some further hint as to what sort of person that man was.

So absorbed was he in Kyla's story, however, that when the group arrived at the tea house, it struck him that he had not thought at all about what variety of tea to order. Should he try something he'd never heard of before or go for a classic like Dragon Well? He was still debating it with himself as the group went inside and took their seats.

Alan looked around, taking in his surroundings. Jon had asked to be directed to the 'best' tea house, and this place at least appeared to fit the description. Of course, the 'best' teahouse comes with the 'best' clientèle, and the Earthlings' strangely dressed coterie certainly stood out in the sea of ancient Chinese formal wear. Alan felt a little out of place, but delightfully anxious as he did his best to maintain a calm disposition.

Upon hearing Amy's order, Alan's mind began turning. Earl Grey shouldn't exist in this period of Chinese history, should it? Alan didn't know too much about the history of Earl Grey, but he understood it to be an English tea, which would place its invention after tea was introduced to England, which was . . . after this. Probably. Alan wasn't sure when exactly the movie version of Mulan was supposed to take place. Actually, now that he thought about it, would they have any of the varieties he was familiar with? Either way, it would be elucidating to see how the staff reacted to Amy's order.

Her reference went completely over his head.

When it was Alan's turn to make an order, he smiled politely and asked for the house special. That was usually a safe way to order.

[[Louis : Train : Training Car]]

Louis dropped to one knee, avoiding the wind saw that flew past. Luckily, he had plenty of distance to judge the trajectory from. His reaction times were not that bad, but it wasn't the best either. He backed up, away from the center of battle further, hiding his presence in the gravitational minefield.

Best I stay out of sight for now. I don't want to draw too much attention to myself right this moment. Let them fight it out a bit more. Let's see what they'll do... will they change their strategy? Or will they continue down this path despite the already devastating effects it's had on both members...

At the moment, Louis felt a sudden surge of pressure from behind his mental barriers, despite the walls he had set up, it was obvious the emotions crossing over were quite angry, Ah, it seems he's back. Horrible timing, but that's alright... I'll have to find out what has him in such a flurry when I get a moment to myself... won't be easy though, not on this train. I wonder if he stumbled across my little 'gift' while he was out...

[[Riku : LoD : Imperial City Streets]]

Riku walked alone amongst the group, no one directly next to or around him. He preferred it this way. He no longer held The Road to Dawn, but he was ready to pull it out at any time. The Imperial City was full of all the hustle and bustle that went along with big cities. People ran to and fro, shopkeepers and customers shouting out over the noise in street side carts, workers performing various tasks. It was nothing like this back home. He used to hate how uneventful his world was, how small it seemed. But after experiencing so much over the years of fighting heartless around every corner, taking on bad guys left and right, and watching his back for someone hoping to take his heart, this city's activity was unnerving.

He was glad he had others with him, but at the same time, not. The earthlings were so involved with Kyla's story, they weren't paying attention at all to their surroundings. Not the odd stares they got involving their out of place clothing, not how people would stop what they were doing just to watch them carefully as if to size them up, or the beady eyes occasionally peeking out of alleyways between buildings, nothing. He did feel confident with one individual at least. At least there was Leon, he seemed dependable enough. That was until,
"Watch the kids."

Riku didn't break his composure, but inside he was screaming, Hold on a sec! Don't dump them off on me! Where are you going?! Get back here!

Riku sighed, looking over at the Earthlings. They were his age, but their lack of experience made them more like protecting a group of toddlers in a pit of snakes. But, he took a breath of relief as they finally took a step inside the tea shop. It wasn't as bad as outside in the streets, but the looks they received from the locals still sent a chill down his spine, We stick out too much.

He glanced at Amy, then Alan, only picking up a bit of their previous conversation. It took him a moment to conclude who it was they were talking about only after recalling the stories he heard about the earlier portions of the earthlings' adventures in Agreba(sp?), mainly, Cory, "A monster would be a perfect description." He stated to Alan, finally letting himself relax a small amount, "You can't call him a villain, since he simply does what he wants, good or bad. But, you can't let your guard down either since his goal is opposite ours in the end. He's unpredictable for the most part, which makes him even more dangerous. He might help you one moment, and stab you in the back the next." Riku wasn't sure how much Kyla had covered involving what they knew about Cory, but it was imperative the others knew what the people they'd no doubt be facing were like.

[Alan :: LoD :: Teahouse]

Alan frowned slightly as he turned to face Riku. "I'd like to know more about this 'goal' you mention. What exactly is he trying to do? For that, matter, what are you trying to do? I understand you're looking for His Majesty, King Mickey, but I have yet to be told why."

He paused slightly. He wasn't quite sure what he should say to the very shifty looking Riku, but felt like he needed some form of introduction.

"Also, it's . . . nice to meet you," he finished lamely.

[Cory .:. Narnia .:. Jadis' Castle .:. Main Hall]

... Line and Sinker...

The ronin exploded from his position where the Thundara spell struck, passing through to the other side of the original mage as his fists burned with blue and black fire. He looked over his shoulder at the mage with a grin on his face and said, "Limit breaks can only occur in desperate situations. I guess until now you've just been spoiled by easy training sessions, huh?" The ronin began to burst back and forth across the mage, his voice echoing through the high speeds, "This is it for you, mage. This is the third variation of my ultimate attack- one that focuses all of it's strength on one opponent."

**Unless limit breaks now require MP as well (making it kind of a useless "last ditch" effort), this should be allowed. Again, let me know if it is not.**

[ Guado Servants : Narnia : Main Hall ]

The mage couldn't speak- if he even attempted to open his mouth, he would only have his breath knocked out of him. Each blow sent him gradually higher, each strike, putting him farther into the air. Of course, with every strike, the multiple auras surrounding him seemed to shimmer: flashes of blue, streaks of purple, and flickers of green.

As he was knocked further and further into the air, the mass of other 'servant' guards began to gather around beneath him; not directly beneath him, of course, they gave him room to land and be hit. However, they didn't seem worried; as the fiery inferno that was the ground burned underneath them, the flames now easily as tall as an average Guado, they merely watched in amusement. In fact, some of the warriors seemed to be placing bets, waiting for the final outcome.

[Cory .:. Narnia .:. Jadis' Castle .:. Main Hall]

A smile.

"... Not~"

There was a sudden crash as the final strike of the limit break changed direction, exploding through the ceiling of the Main Hall. The renegade looked over the edge of the hole and gave a quick salute down to the inferno below as he called out, "It's been fun, seeing the extent of your powers! High level elemental spells, in addition to a variety of buff spells. There's also the large number of you, and that the physically inclined aren't as weak as being trained by a mage would lead one to believe. I could have ended the fight from the very beginning with a simple Burst, but I decided not to."

The ronin leaned back, making a disgusting noise in the back of his throat before spitting a loogie down at the mage. "Moron~, I said I was going to retreat from the very start, didn't I? Adios, senioras~" The renegade turned and dashed off, digging deeper then he ever had before to call out a Dark Portal. He passed through, coming out safely on the other side...

[Hook's Ship .:. Deck]

... And crashing into Alice, tumbling head-over-heel into the ground. "Ow... Also, my arm is bleeding..."

[Nick :: Bamboo Thicket]

"Uh-Understood, Seymour. I shall wait to depart, then. But won't they find it odd that you're escorting me to the group unless that isn't at all what you meant. I mean, if that's the case, I understand, but it just doesn't make any sense...Oh, great. I'm rambling on like an idiot." Nick babbled on, then finally caught his tongue and looked down at the ground, rather embarassed.

Ha, you are such an embarassment.

Am I? I would think you'd be with what Ultima di-

Silence yourself, host.

No, you be quiet, Chaos, and let me do my job.

Nick snapped, only hearing grumbling from his summon as he faced Seymour once again.

[Jenny :: Training Car]

Jenny scrambled out of Kyle's way as he came down upon Dawn. She whirled around, catching sight of James raising his arm, hexagun planted in his hand. Oh fudgecakes! A short spurt of panic built up in her as she placed her flute to her lips in hurry. A Reflect spell would have been ideal but since she had nothing of the sort...

Banish. The space between Kyle and James seems to fizzle and twist as a medium size void opened up. The depths of the hole seemed like an endless combination of faraway stars and hues of deep purple and black like space. The six shots collided into it, though the spell only managed to engulf three of the six bullets before the void then shifted again before closing entirely as if it couldn't take anymore. The remaining three shots still continuing on course. That... wasn't supposed to happen."

[Alice :: Hook's Ship]

Alice's eyes momentarily flickered off of Timmy before she stepped aside gracefully, allowing the flying form of Cory to rush right past her. She watched with mild amusement as the Revblade user tumbled. The animator followed behind as momentum finally stopped carrying Cory halfway across the now cleared out deck.

Alice raised an eyebrow at Cory's bruised, battered and torn self before allotting a small smile to inch up her face. "What happened Cory? Did the little shadows gang up on you?" Alice jested softly, her voice full of sarcastic mirth as she glided up to the ronin. Her right glove unraveled as she learned down to touched the bleeding arm, "looks, like quite the boo-boo," she jeered , her fingers hovering above the wound before the animator straighten up again. Alice turned her back with a snide smile as she walked away from Cory with her bunny closely shadowing her movements.

"Serves you right. I'm just about done playing games on this ship," She remarked as she walked towards the railing of the ship, leaving searing imprints behind. With one lithe hop, Alice jumped over the railing and into a dark portal.

"Oh but what I wouldn't give to see Hook's expression~," Cúchulainn whined.

"You'll just have to make do without," Alice responded curtly.

[ Seymour : Bamboo Thicket ]

"I was chasing after an armored assailant. After finally catching up to him in a patch of bamboo, we entered combat- you jumped in to aid me. Realizing the hopelessness of the situation, the armored assailant disappeared into a Corridor of Darkness, leaving us with no way to chase after him."

His words flowed from his mouth with a smooth, casual tone of voice. As he continued to walk out of the thicket, assuming Nicholas was following him (since he'd started walking away a few moments before), he merely smiled, as if the entire situation was just another portion of a beautiful day.

"Where you came from before now is up to you, unless you'd rather me come up with that, as well," he asked, twisting his neck just so that one eye could peek over his shoulder at Nicholas as he kept walking. "However, I have been told you are more than capable of coming up with plans of your own. My fair maiden was not mistaken, I presume?"

[ Sora : Forest ]

"Honestly? Kairi is more of a challenge," he said with a laugh before quickly casting Magnega in the center of the group of Shadows and Neoshadows. The Shadows were immediately pulled up into the magnetic force, circling each other rapidy, even being sucked up from their shadow forms; the Newshadows remained immobile, clinging to the dirt with their claws, practically stunned until the spell's end.

"And now for clean-up," Sora said with a somewhat bored, somewhat cocky sigh escaping his lips. With a quick burst of speed (faintly reminiscent of his Dash abilities from two years prior; it seemed he was truly, finally getting back into the hang of things), he began slicing through the remaining Neoshadows, leaving the Shadows in the air alone for now.

[ Kyle : Training Room ]

Just as Kyle began to let loose the massive burst of Holy energies, he felt the impact of not one or two, but three bullets in his side, sending enough momentum into his body that the spear's trajectory gave Dawn more than enough room to dodge the physical portion of the attack. Of course, the magical portion, on the other hand...

.:I understand you're having a good time, but you're running low on energy. End this.:.

Yes, mother.

Standing to his feet (he'd fallen to his knees from the blow to his side), he held the spear in one hand and placed his free hand over the bleeding wound. As he began to close the short distance between himself and Dawn with a few short steps, his free hand began to glow a warm, bright gold, healing the wound caused by the miniature-shotgun blast, all while making sure to keep his spear pointed at the fan user.

"This match is over. Jenny and I stand in unison and mostly unharmed, while Dawn is heavily injured and separated from James," Kyle announced, keeping his eyes on Dawn much like a hawk might; there was an unintended fierceness in his eyes that was reserved for his opponents, and though barely distinguishable, his irises had turned a bright purple for the briefest of seconds. "The opposing team is compromised. I believe that was the goal of the exercise, yes?"

For the briefest of moments, Kyle shifted his glance above and behind Dawn's floor-bound body, attempting to find Louis or James, before swiftly returning his glare to the wind dancer.

[ Guado Servants : Narnia : Main Hall ]

As Cory's monologue went on, the air-bound mage easily righted himself and began his slow, obviously-magical descent. No one spared words as he jeered at them, and no one responded to the loogie, save for the initial mage, who released a light Fire spell to burn the mucus-filled saliva before it could reach the ground.

With the renegade ronin's disappearance, the fires died down, and (magically, of course) the room seemed completely unfazed by the inferno. Some of the Guado looked disappointed, while others looked annoyed; still others looked amused- including the targeted mage.

"Well, now that the pest has been removed, will one of you fix the ceiling?" he asked turning to head back to the servants' quarters; he'd have to report this to Tromell, of course. "I'd rather the Maester come back to a clean castle. Better the ceiling than a body, I suppose."

[Dawn : Training Car]

Dawn glared back at Kyle for a couple of moments, wearing the same determined look as before. But her resolve shook as she saw the look in Kyle's eyes. It scared her somewhat, something about them seemed different. Dawn knew, he spoke the truth. There was no way she could continue. She knew it. She had taken a beating with Kyle's last attack. Not to mention her right shoulder was still bleeding from where Louis had shot her.

Her fan disappeared from her hand as she fell onto her rear end in a more relaxed sitting position, her eyes moving away from Kyle's as she put her now free left hand over her bleeding shoulder. As much as she hated to let James down and give up. She had no other option.

"I'm sorry..." Dawn whispered softly looking down. She failed again....
