They looked like sausages. Thick Pink-Brown Sausages as thick as a human wrist. Delilah carefully, yet quickly pulled out the entrails out of the body with a heave. Several tense seconds passed, then Delilah breathed an audible sigh of relief, then went to check the liver.

All those yards of entrails! Somewhere, Hermes had heard stories of how long a human gut was, and seeing the cow's gut was larger than how it usually appeared several thousand feet in the air.
The Entrails are clean- no marks there... Just the liver to go, Oh. he mentally spoke to Artemis, pausing when he saw the african woman holding the quivering freshly-torn out slab of a cows' liver in her hand.

"No uncle Markus, I'll ride my sheep. I've only got little legs." Arwa said, smiling.

Sage winced as she watched Delilah pull everything out. She felt pity for her friend because there was no way it wasn't disgusting.

Artemis raised an eyebrow. Oh what? You'll have to be a little more clear Hermes.

The liver was more pinker than the entrails, and was covered slightly in the body fluids. As Delilah tried to clear the blood from the view, she looked at the liver, examining each side as she held it in her hands. One side was plain, unpatterned. The other, had a hole from where Delilah had cut it out from the body with the knife, but excluding that, it was clear of marks.

Hermes looked at the liver.
The liver, The liver! He said impatiently. It's clear!
Turning his head away to cough, Hermes then asked Artemis Can I come back to Olympus now?

Sage watched Delilah and smiled slightly when she noticed the relived look on her friend's face.

Artemis shook her head. Pan can be forgiving even if most of you don't think so. He's a fair enough god. As for you coming back to Olympus you can but you'll have to think of a good excuse to leave them and you will probably be asked to keep an eye on them again later.

He nodded. He thought for a moment, put Arwa on the sheep, and made it grow into a really REALLY big sheep.

"Hey!" Flicker yelled at Markus. "What do you think you're doing?! Stop hyping up my sheep on steroids! How's it going to ever give offspring now, you numbskull! Change Krispen back now!" Said sheep by name of Krispen looked rather shocked at his new change of height.

Ensuring that the parts to be burnt were put in one area and the parts to be eaten in another, Delilah took two flint stones and struck them together over the altar. When the fire was strong enough, Delilah put both piles on the flame and left them to cook, remembering to take the meat when it was cooked and leave the designated parts to burn. While she was waiting, Delilah washed her hands in the basin that had been used to hold the water used earlier to flick at the cow.

Hermes smiled; the sacrifice had gone well and Pan's anger would be appeased. He suddenly heard a voice from the group asking him for a song. Obliging their request, Hermes, as Stratios, first sang a hymn to the gods, then sung a song that Thaleia, Muse of comedy had shown him last week.

"I'll change him back" he said, ignoring her for a few seconds. "You get to say go Flicker"

Arwa felt a slight sensation of vertigo when the sheep suddenly grew but it quickly passed. He patted his sheep Krispen on the head, like a comforting 'you can do this' pat for both of them, reassuring each other that, yes they could do this.
"You want to say go, Aunty Flicker?" he asked her, really excited about the impending race.

Sage grinned as she listened to the music after the sacrifice. The man had a good voice and an interesting taste in songs.

Flicker glared over at Markus. "You'd better change him back, or for the life of me, I will hurt you, and don't you think you can stop me." She sighed, seeing that Arwa was obviously having fun. Krispen, on the other hand didn't. "YOU CAN DO IT, KRISPEN!" she yelled. "GO!!!!"

He started running, but not too fast of course.

Arwa and Krispen ran well, but they hardly were as fast as Markus. Both boy and sheep were enjoying the race, and although he was being weighed down by the weight of Arwa, Krispen carried the burden well. In several short minutes, They were at the half-way point, the boulder.

The man was the subject of some passing interest to Delilah. There was definately something unusual about him that she couldn't put her finger on. Perhaps he suffered from a personality disorder. Whatever it was, it confused her.
As she looked at him, the smell of cooked meat wafted to her nose.
Turning to face the meat, Delilah removed the meat with a pair of tongs, putting it all onto a clean metal bowl before it would be cut up and served to everyone present.

He slowed down, but in a way that wasn't noticeable. He wanted to give them both a chance at least.

Sage kept one eye on Delilah while listening to the music being produced. When the bard started a more upbeat tune she absently began to clap along keeping most of her attention on Delilah. Something was off about their new bard friend but Sage couldn't put her finger on it yet.
