Bloodline: The Byakugan doujutsu of the Hyuuga clan
Current Knowledge: The Byakugan provides the user an almost-360 degree field of vision, the exception being the back of the neck where the third vertebra is located. It also provides a degree of telescopic vision, which varies from person to person. The Byakugan can sometimes see underground when the second stage is reached. The greatest ability that comes with the Byakugan is the ability to see both chakra and the chakra circulation system within the body. Using Gentle Fist, the user can close or open an opponent’s chakra points, giving them control over a person’s ability to use jutsu. (In order to do this, a significant amount of points must be closed.)

I should have just ignored him and I wouldn’t be here. Sayuri grumbles to herself as her body effortlessly moves into the Juken stance. She activates her Byakugan before she attacks, standing with her weight back on her right leg, right hand outstretched palm-up, left hand cocked back behind her palm-up. Her mind, with its sick sense of humor, plays back the moment in her head as she readies to perform her taijutsu.
“Sayuri, Lord Mizukage requests your presence in his office immediately.” A level voice had spoken across the training field to the petite kunoichi. Sayuri turned her head, but Yamatano was already gone, moving faster than anyone she’d ever seen. That boy. I swear, he never stops moving, she mused silently, watching Yamatano depart as she continued to stand in her fighting stance. She eventually sighed and picked up her things, shoving her hands into her gloves with an almost angry vigor.
If I had just ignored him, I wouldn’t be here. I would be speed training and practicing chakra control to my hands, not here being displayed like a show dog to the Mizukage, she gripes as her vision changes to a sweeping nearly-360-degree, telescopic view. Her pale lavender eyes focus on the internal threads of chakra running through her sensei’s body, on the 361 Tenketsu, little pinpricks within the chakra system. She flexes her hands quickly before focusing her chakra into the tips of her index and middle fingers. His face lights up with a wicked smile behind his mask as he feints forward, Sayuri shadowing him. She keeps a straight face effortlessly, showing the older man that she isn’t laughing.
“So, little Say-chan, how would you like this done? Taijutsu against taijutsu?” He teases, dodging as she lashes forward, aiming for the main Tenketsu in his right shoulder joint and the one in his left wrist simultaneously. She curses and grumbles something about closing the Tenketsu in his brain, before pivoting quickly and lunging at him again. Her sensei’s laugh dies in his throat as her chakra-infused fingertips painfully force the Tenketsu in the crease of his left elbow and on the vein of his left forearm to shut. The light green eyes narrow at Sayuri as she returns to her stance.
“Eight Trigrams, Two Palms.” Her usually shy, gentle voice snaps with uncharacteristic fierceness as her eyes, enhanced by her family doujutsu, focus back on the chakra pathways in his body. The older man’s left hand itches towards his katana, resisting the urge to draw his sword and run his student through with it. Sayuri’s eyebrows rise up in mocking disbelief. “How’s it feel when your student gets the best of you?” She taunts, feinting to the left and lunging at him again, aiming for the Tenketsu in her sensei’s right shoulder and the one in the joint of his thumb. He pulls his hand back, trying to wrench it out of her reach futilely. Her sharp eyes, enhanced by the Byakugan, watch as the chakra points close, stopping the flow of chakra to his thumb and slowing the flow to the rest of his right arm. In the same movement, she forces the Tenketsu in the right side of his neck and on his left knee closed. His leg begins to shake as she murmurs, “Eight Trigrams, Four Palms,” and he swears a blue streak.
“Watch her closely. Her attacks are becoming reckless.” A voice mutters behind her. Her nearly 360-degree vision shows her that a man she’s never seen before is standing next to the Lord Mizukage, scrutinizing her shrewdly. Her movements increase in speed as she lashes at her sensei again and again, increasing the number of closed Tenketsu from two, then to four, then to eight, then sixteen, and thirty-two. She falls back, panting slightly, so she can catch her breath and give her sensei a chance to strike back. His fist catches the side of her face, sending her sprawling before she jumps agilely to her feet.
“Sayuri. Enough. End it now.” The Lord Mizukage’s voice sounds form behind her and she barely notices Kaizen and Kanzuki watching her. She dives at the older man, striking sixty-four of his chakra points and stopping the flow to his hands entirely. A hand on her shoulder snaps her out of her rage and she blinks, confused. The Lord Mizukage directs one of the medical ninja to her sensei and they begin healing him, re-opening his Tenketsu. Sayuri stares at the leader of Kirigakure as he shakes his head, staring into her eyes. She bows quickly, still confused. “When you cannot control your rage, you lose touch with your body.” He murmurs softly, watching the medics tending to her sensei. Sayuri places her fingertips against her cheek, nodding.
“I know… I don’t like being teased.” She mutters, shrugging off Luo’s hand and bowing to both him and the strange man before she walks away, heading home to the Hyuuga complex for more meditation and speed training. The things I do for power, she muses on the walk back.
