Cat shifted a little, then went as still as she could and closed her eyes. She just had to relax. No big deal.

Alcina saw the younger Spider-man sitting in a swivel chair in the middle of a high-tech lab, an ice pack pressed against his head. He was mumbling something about clones, and Cat's remembered self chuckled. Then, suddenly, there was a flash of orange light.

A few snapshots popped up in quick succession. From Cat's point of view, Alcina saw several heroes floating in place, bound with what looked like shadows. Most of them were conscious... and pissed. Superman seemed to be in the act of straining against his bonds, Spider-man was trying to use his web-shooters, the younger Batman glowered in silence, and Wonder Woman was yelling something. The main exceptions were the older Batman--who still appeared to be unconscious-- and Deadpool, whose contented grin was visible even through his mask.

The next snapshot was of Strange. Pissed wasn't even an adequate word for how he looked; he was wreathed in blinding golden flame, with his eyes glowing the same color. The amulet on his chest glowed with a deep, frightening light. He seemed to be in the act of shouting a command and pointing at something that was outside Cat's peripheral vision-- and from his outstretched hand extended an honest to God bolt of lightning... except that it was the same gold as his aura, and the points on it looked like the tips of javelins--

Without warning, Cat's eyes snapped open, flashing briefly orange. At the exact same moment, the memories shut down, like they'd been cut off with a knife. "OW!" Cat hissed, automatically bringing a hand up to touch her forehead. "I thought you said it wouldn't HURT!"

Cat, still rubbing at her forehead, frowned, the expression both worried and pained. "They can do that?" she asked. Wow. She really was completely out of her depth, wasn't she?

((Did you notice that Terry figured out he'd lost time on his own? And started remembering on his own? ... ninja ))

Cat lowered her hand reluctantly, allowing the older woman access to her temples.

((Hmm.... We'll see! And really? Pool is grinning because he's Pool. There are any number of things about this situation that he could find funny.))

Cat relaxed visibly, and let out a slow breath before opening her eyes. She managed a small smile. "Thank you. I'm sorry that I wasn't more helpful," she added.

Cat shook her head once, firmly. "No. That's all."

Cat bit her lip and flopped back on the bed, the white hair of her wig spreading around her head like a halo. It was strange; the woman's digging hadn't made her remember anything, but she felt... funny. Different than before. Less angry and more frightened, like something inside her had shifted without her knowledge or input.

((Haha. No worries, I have a plan.))

Hmph. That hadn't worked out like he'd wanted. The magic had begun and he had tried to implant his own power to, at the very least, knock unconscious the person that was being probed. Unfortunately, the nature of the magic being used was different than what he was used to, and he didn't have time to unravel it. So he used his power as a type of switch, shutting off the flow of memories and being content with that.

Then there was nothing. The magical presence in the house was decreasing further. At the very least, he would be able to enter the house within the next few minutes and remain undetected. Azazel waited; he was very good at waiting.

Alcina finally arrived in the room where Alex and the others were. Alex stood leaning against one of the chairs in the room, arms crossed and appearing a little more than uncomfortable. Sapphire still lay unconscious on the couch, Alicna's healing energy still enveloping her prone form. And Steel Spider sat anxiously in one of the chairs opposite of it. The two conscious women turned their attention towards Alcina once she entered the room.

She gave them a small smile as she moved farther into the room. "I'll be leaving for just a moment. Is there anything you would like while I'm here?"

Alex hesitated and looked down at Sapphire.

"She'll be fine. She should wake up before I return."

Alex glanced back at Alcina, and hesitated once more. "Is...is there any new information? About what's going on? Where anyone is?"

Alcina's smile fell. "So far it seems that everyone on the list have been captured by a powerful being. We still don't know where they are...I'm going to get something that might be able to help with that task. Two people have reappeared though. One is here, and the other is...in the Gotham area. The younger Batman I believe."

Alex perked up a bit. "Batman's still here?"

"What about Flash?" Steel asked, concern evident in her voice.

Alcina shook her head. "He's not on this earth as of yet. It's...safe to assume that he's captured." she replied.

"Is...is there anything I can do to help?"

"There's not much any of us can do at the moment." Alcina said with a frown.

"So we can only wait until we can figure something out?" a man's voice said from another doorway. Reaper now stood leaning against the wooden frame, arms crossed.

"As of right now...most likely." she replied. "There's another magic user in Strange's office. I believe she's trying to help. I'm going to see if....if I can locate one of the captured and find out just where they are." she said, then paused a moment. "Is there anything anyone needs before I go."

Alex paused a moment, glanced down at Sapphire, then looked up and shook her head. All she wanted right now was to make sure Sapphire was safe, then...find Batman. Maybe round up Riku to help them. If the heroes were missing, and he was serious about turning himself around...then they could definitely use him.

Steel looked as though she wanted to say something, but simply shook her head after a moment as well. She just wanted to find Flash. Make sure he was safe. That he was alright. This woman, now that she was thinking about it, was the one in Arkham that had apparently repaired her. She wanted to ask if she was the one that offered to turn her into a human. If that would be the best thing right now. Or would being a robot be better since she couldn't really die unless she was completely torn apart.
She decided against asking though. Not a priority at the moment.

Reaper hesitated. Honestly....his 'cravings' were becoming harder to ignore. Pulling a package of blood out of the refrigerator only did so much for him now. He needed to make a mess. Soon.

Alcina glanced at Reaper a moment, then smiled. "Go ahead into the room to the right of you. It should have something that will satisfy you until I return. I'll bring back something that might be able to keep your habit in check."

Reaper blinked and glanced over at the room. "Alright." he replied simply. What was in there that was going to help him? She didn't put a dead body or something in there, did she?

"Oh, and..." Alcina started hesitantly. "Please keep an eye on her. I'm not entirely sure that her captor has completely released her. Better to be safe."
With that, Alcina disappeared.
