"Ruran you do realize if you really had somehow hurt or worse yet killed someone with that knife you would be dead?" Ryu pointed out.
He doubt it would get through to Ruran, he was half tempted to suggest to Celebor to send Ruran to the Lau clan. Human and strong (not to mention in some cases vicious) they might be the wake up call he needed. However... He knew it was also an unwise choice to send Ruran away again, Celebor really didn't want to do that again.
"Hope Aras doesn't mind we took one of her shirts," Feng's voice giggled back as she stepped back into the kitchen with Naida in tow.

Ruran uttered a low, mirthless laugh. "Whatever," he smirked at Ryu. "You think you would have done it? If you dared?"
It wasn't only his pride that was speaking, the fact that he thought himself better than everyone here, but also the knowledge that they would never kill him, or even hurt him badly. They just weren't that kind of people. He really had nothing to fear from them.
Ulani glanced up at Feng and nodded. "I'm sure it will be fine," she assured her. "Aras is good about sharing her things."
"Thanks to the stupid wolf boy," Ruran snarled.

"If I thought you would kill most dear to me without a second thought yes," Ryu replied deadpanned.
It was an awful thing to say about one's family, even worse because Ryu was very fond of Celebor. Perhaps extreme since Ryu, unlike Triton or Lin had never killed anyone, but it was true. His friends and family were dear to him, and if Ruran became the real monster everyone was thinking he was turning out to be, then yes. His family, and his friends came first, even if it was family that was at fault.
"Unlike you, my family, my friends are important to me."
Feng ignored Ruran, more for her brother's sake than anything else. She knew Ryu highly disliked Ruran, and more so since he openly tried to knife their little sister. Big brother genes and all that.
"I'm glad, we'll return it on our next visit and hope that the others hadn't grown by then," Feng giggled.

Ruran barked a quick mirthless laugh. "You don't have the guts," he laughed. "You wouldn't do it."
He scowled again. "Besides," he snarled, "I didn't even do anything to her. Stupid b***h ... and she was the one who wanted to fight."
Ulani glared at Ruran. "Do I have to seal your mouth shut or something?" she asked him pointedly. She wished she could just talk with Feng, but the kid wouldn't stop his attitude ...

Feng patted Ulani on the shoulder, "We'll bring you duct tape on our next visit."
"I don't think she would get that reference," Ryu murmured turning his attention back to his sister.
Feng giggled, "That's okay."
"Auntie's friends say that if all else fails use duct tape," Naida nodded at this, even though she didn't know what duct tape was.
Feng placed Naida back on the table, she knew ignoring Ruran wasn't going to make it better, but neither was feeding into his attitude.

Ulani blinked at Feng, her brow furrowing in confusion. "I ... what?" she asked blankly.
Ryu was quite right. She had no idea what that was about.
She shook her head. "Never mind. We need to let Celebor know what's happened. Would you mind tracking down Adonai? I'll stay here and keep an eye on Ruran. I really don't think it would be a good idea to leave him alone again."
She didn't trust him at all anymore - especially not in the kitchen.

"Alright!" Feng grinned reaching over to pet Ryu on the head, "Watch Naida, it'll be quicker if it's just one of us."
With that she was out of the door, figuring it was best to try Shael and Adonai's home first. If not, Shael would probably know where he was.

Adonai was indeed at home, spending time with Rhea in his study, giving Cindy a much-needed break. The window was wide open, however, so that the room was filled with the fresh air that they both loved so much.
Adonai was in the middle of a sentence when he realized that Rhea wasn't quite listening to him anymore. He paused and tilted his head, then smiled and asked, "Who's coming?"
Rhea blushed and giggled. "Sorry, Ada ... it's Feng. Looking for you."
Adonai chuckled and rose to his feet. "Keep working," he smiled at her. "I'll be back."
Rhea giggled again. "I know. I'll see you soon, Ada."
With a smile, Adonai turned and headed outside.

"Adonai!" Feng waved the moment she saw the man.
If one didn't know any better they would think it was just Feng being Feng as usual.
She stopped right in front of him, "Were you expecting someone?"
Since he had been after all just standing outside.

Adonai chuckled and waved back at Feng. "Rhea told me you were looking for me," he smiled at her. "So yes, I was expecting you. How may I be of service?"
His eyes were filled with laughter, warm and kind. He was always glad to see their visitors from Gaia - even if he wasn't home much of the time, and didn't spend a lot of time with them.

Feng looked a bit sheepish, she rarely got to interact with Adonai and she would have rather interacted with him for other reasons than this.
"Ah well.... we, as in Ulani, Ryu and I need your help to get into contact with Celebor, we ran into trouble with Ruran... again."

Adonai's eyes grew shadowed, and he sighed softly. "Again ... poor Mother. Come, let's go."
He was quiet for a moment, thoughtful, as they started back towards his parents' house, and then he shook his head sadly. "All I can say," he murmured, "is that I'm amazed Mother has put up with him for this long. I've never seen her lose her temper before, but I think she's come very close several times since he came here."
He looked at Feng. "Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they're all here - they're wonderful to have around, for the most part. But he ... is just ..."

"Oh trust me...." Feng looked skyward, "I know what you mean.... we grew up with Celebor, so having him around is just down right freaky. It's also hard, because none of us want to think that about Celebor's son."
Feng hated to admit it, but she was glad Ruran did not live in Gaia, not on the clan grounds. On a personal level she wouldn't know if anyone could stand it, on a more cold level Ruran would be a disgrace for the clan.
"Ryu's temper is getting short, and I didn't even know he had a temper."

Adonai nodded. "I know what you mean. And yet it's impossible for him not to be Celebor's son ... of all of the children, Ruran is the only one who looks so much like him."
Sad, but true.

"Which makes it creepy," Feng supplied.
Well it couldn't be helped, though really she didn't know what Ulani or Celebor were going to do that. Ruran had done a lot of things, but this was bad, she wondered what Lin did to make Ruran want to knife her.
It probably wouldn't take much.
As they were reaching the house she added, "They're in the kitchen, or rather Ruran is in the kitchen and everyone is keeping an eye on him."
