"The first thing you remember is waking up?" Garin questioned and he stopped with her.

"Well, let's see if we can't find anything to spark your memory," Garin said. He knew that he couldn't take her back to his home, so he needed to figure out some place else to take her. It would probably be best to get out of the forest.

After they had been walking around for a while, Aquaria asked, "How much farther is the edge of this forest? It certainly seems large..."

"It is, are you getting tired?" Garin asked her, slowing his pace. He had recently fed, so he was feeling fine, but he didn't know if she had eaten or not, recently.

"I'm fine for now," Aquaria replied. She was really starting to like Garin. "You seem to handle this place pretty well."

"Well, where I grew up is a lot more tame than this section," Garin replied. "But, it's pretty much all like this. Dark and spooky."

"A-a vampire?" Aquaria stammered. She pulled away a bit. No wonder she felt such a strong pull from him.

Garin dropped her hand when she pulled away. He should have expected that. "Maybe I should have mentioned that sooner," he muttered to himself. He didn't look back at her, expecting her to run away.

Aquaria considered running for it, but then she thought about the rest of the woods. She'd probably be safer with a vampire than take her chances in the forest. At least he knew his way around. "I don't think I've ever met a ... a vampire before," she said.
