Sonya half listened, just like she had in school, as Elasa spoke of her duty on Earth. She wasn't one-hundred percent sure there wouldn't be a test with how well spoken and proper the woman was, so she made sure to pay enough attention for a B-. "So... you're here to 'protect' us?" She chuckled, "I wasn't aware we were in danger. Or are you more of a pretty precaution?"

Elasa nodded, and then launched into an explanation of the resurgence of Nekron, the Lord of the Unliving-- and his Black Lantern Corps, as well as what they did to create more members of their Corps. She explained that many heroes from her universe-- and sveral entire Lantern Corps-- had gone missing, as well as some big-name heroes from the "other" universe. Once this was discovered, Elasa's job had been to warn as many heroes as she could to prepare for the coming danger, and once that was done and all that could be done was wait, Elasa had fallen back to her original objective.

Sonya's mind flitted one word in her head over and over again after Elasa's next spoken novel of an answer. Hero. Hero... "Have you, y'know, gathered a lot of heroes already to... protect... things? Cause if you're looking for more, I'm your girl!"

Sonya smiled at the acceptance. Finally she had a chance to prove herself as something besides the rowdy flamey chick! She gave Elasa a nod and chuckled. "So... there some kind of secret base for this little team you're putting together? Now that I think about it, could you bring me to these other heroes? Gotta admit I'm actually kind of excited."

"Those that have been informed are currently tending to separate matters; the invasion of Nekron is, hopefully, a ways off from now, but his power is growing regardless," Elasa replied. "As a result, I have merely been biding my time and falling back to my original objective of helping the people of Earth."

 "Normal old hero stuff, yeah?" Sonya replied with a chuckle. She took a step closer to the edge of the roof and looked off into the seemingly endless buildings of Metropolis. "Mind if I tag along? It's not often I get to meet an alien as... appealing and... pleasant as you..." Normally such a statement would have been more akin to "Let's do it on the roof", but Sonya was playing it cool; after all, she didn't know all too much about the woman yet.

"You wish to help me? This is good," Elasa said approvingly, but then she figured out what else Sonya said, and she smiled innocently.
"You approve of my appearance?"

Sonya smiled and turned around, looking over Elasa again with the familiar smirk she always donned in these kind of situations. "Oh, I more than approve, honey..." Her voice went from intense and ready for action to... intense and ready for a whole new kind of action, as she stepped closer to the woman. "Only a blind person could say you aren't gorgeous."

Elasa continued to smile her innocent smile, showing no discomfort whatsoever at Sonya's closeness, but she didn't show any overt lustfulness either.
"I am glad you believe me to be beautiful. Many men on my planet were considered to be betrothed to me, and my father... Was not pleased, at first, to know that my mate is an Earthling. However, upon meeting him, my father accepted him as a member of our tribe after Zeso proved himself worthy."

Sonya had barely listened until the word 'mate' entered the conversation. Most people would consider the situation completely lost at this point; but Sonya Cordelia Ignacio was not most people. Go for broke may not have always proven to be the best strategy, but what was one more person trying to kill her? She drew in a bit closer to the woman, looking her over from the waist up, then the collarbone up, then right into her eyes. "Your boytoy managed to win your father's approval, eh?" Her velveteen words hung in the air, and she reached her hand up slowly to brush Elasa's purple locks of hair from her bangs to behind her ear gingerly. True, she was likely just torturing herself, after all the woman had a betrothed from how it seemed; maybe she'd get lucky, and Elasa's race wasn't monogamous like it was with humans... she could hope, if nothing else. "He's got quite the woman... I know I'd be in my own little paradise with you..."

Elasa blinked, feeling confused. Weren't humans supposed to be monogamous? At least that was what Zeso had said. Would he be alright with this? If Elasa were without a betrothed (and on her planet, even with one) she would not have minded in the least, but it was out of respect for her... "boyfriend", the human term was, who believed in such relationships, that she had not engaged in what was the norm for her culture.
She stepped away from Sonny, and said: "Out of respect for my... 'boyfriend' I believe you humans call it, I will have to decline your advances. If I were not bethrothed to him, or if I were to an Earthling that is not monogamous, I would be more open to the idea," she said politely.

Sonya's hand finished its motion through Elasa's hair before she finally took a single step back. "Yeah... that's always how it is... er, not always exactly like that, but... I understand." She turned around again, her hands and feet beginning to shake the air with their heat, and she glanced back to the woman with a small glint of sadness in her eyes. "We should probably get to this... hero stuff, yeah? Just... if you have any other friends that are like you, maybe let me meet them before you show them off to some of your other friends?" Her voice had almost a chuckle to it, but that might have hurt the poor pyromancer more than she would have liked.

Elasa frowned slightly, not expecting this reaction. "Please forgive me, I did not mean to offend you," she said. "I shall speak to my... boyfriend, and ask if he would be willing to make an exception, if that is what you desire."
