Makira opened her eyes and got up. What is it, KoTari? She asked as she looked at him.

KoTari was getting a prediction. One that wasn't pleasant and was going to happen in another ten seconds. KoTari moved his wing over Makira to protect her.
"There it is!!" A person cried. With a large cannon that contained a spear, some men from the city fired at Kotari, giving him a large puncture in his arm. The harpoon-like spear protruded from the wound. KoTari roared and scooped up Makira in one of his claws.
"It has a girl captive! Stop it!!" Another man cried.
KoTari took to the air to avoid further fire.

"Leave KoTari ALONE!" Makira shouted. She looked wound, then turned to look at the men enraged. She gritted her teeth. Suddenly, chains shot out from the ground and wrapped around the men wildly like agitated snakes. The men were being strangled mercilessly. Are you okay? She asked KoTari.

KoTari was gaining altitude rapidly, "I'll be okay!! Lets' get out of here!!" He thought strongly. Soon they were out of the firing range of the harpoon.

Most of the men died from the chains, the survivors were scared out of their wits. Okay, let's head home then.
