(( Beach bar // Beach bar ))

He lost, again! Well technically his team lost. Lazarus really don't have much luck today with competitions. But he ain't going to be a sore loser and whine about his bad luck. So tired, he went back to the beach bar to rest and get himself refreshed again, and to enjoy the limbo contest. At least he don't need to worry about losing that.

"Hey! Your luck isn't too good today huh?" Kyou chirped up as Lazarus slumped on a seat in front of him. He was watching the limbo contest and was just done serving some cold drinks to a couple more customers. They were really generous with tips today. "Do you want something nice and refreshing to drink?" He offered.

"That would be nice, I was going to ask myself." Putting a hand to his chin, he pondered what to order. Despite the horrid eating experience earlier, he did tasted some stuff that tastes good today. Only thing is he couldn't recognize what exactly are the tastes. "Uhm, something fruity that's yellow colored?" he asked, remembering that the first pie he ate had yellow fillings.

"Yellow? Alright." Kyou agreed although he was quite clueless at what to make. Looking through the book behind the counter, he decided that he should look for a drink with pineapple in it, to fulfill the 'yellow' part at least. Kyou didn't want Laz to drink alcohol too, so he decided to just make him an Amaretto Colada. As he get to work, he notice something wrong in the limbo contest. Zavier just passed out!

Laz realized Kyou was staring at something and followed in the direction of his gaze to find Zavier being carried into the shades of the small beach bar shack. "What's wrong?" Curious and worried, he floated nearer to the fainted Frei and asked aloud, not really directing the question to anyone.

[[...::Beach Bar::...]]

Out of all days, Isi thought that he'd finally have one of relaxation where he didn't have to worry for anything more than Eiry's usual pranks. That would be an ideal for him, simply divine. But now that he was quite literally cornered into the bar by two older girls, both of whom he hardly knew, one more so than the other...Isi wasn't so sure. He was already feeling awkward enough, trying to remember the conversation that had passed between Namini and himself those long months ago as he forced out bit by bit of conversation.

"Oh, it's you," he had, turning around and slipping his shoulder out from underneath her. He really felt awkward, especially out after all the other interesting encounters with the opposite sex he had already. Then he had said, "I think I remember you...From the Valentine's Event? Yeah, I think I remember you now. How are you?"

And those questions were just released from his mouth when he suddenly felt the tell-tale presence of Lillian cloud the beachy atmosphere. Turning to her, his body immediately stiffened and his thick brows leveled out over his grey eyes, which had, in turn, hardened as well.

"Hello, Lillian." he said as calmly as he could, "This is someone I met at the last Lab event. But yes, of COURSE I would be here. It's not like some sand is going to stop me and I'm not going to miss out a chance on being here with my family." The boy's scowl deepened, but there was also a faint flush on his cheeks. Of what, no one knew.

Eiry prowled about on the beach, cleverly putting himself intangible, searched for his first victim. He held the water balloon bucket tightly in sheer excitement. This was going to be fun!

Rivener stiffened when the blue-haired woman hugged him- hugged him!- not quite knowing how to react to this. He flapped his wings in mild concern, but just let her finish. He would normally have shoved her off, but the promise of the star-camera allowed for many things he wouldn't normally allow. If a hug was part of the price, then he'd hug. Actually, Rivener was starting to consider returning the hug, just to be safe, when Rochan pulled away. She began speaking of organizing their visit, and Rivener beamed enthusiastically, nodding and looking around for his Guardian, willing him to come here NOW and get all this information.

Aphismet just realized why he'd felt like laughing, and why those barbs hadn't gotten under his skin. Temper flares, aggressiveness... This man reminded him of Isi, and sometimes even Rivener. Aphi was quite used to dealing with temper flares, it seemed.

"Perfectly alright. I'm glad we've come to an agreement." Aphismet grinned happily and nodded, turning also to Rochan, finding her and Rivener standing close together, muttering about things. Aphi rolled his eyes. "Oh, Rivener. Are you still annoying her about that? I'm terribly sorry, miss RoChan..." Aphi reached out to grab the end of one of Riv's wings between fingers, tugging it backwards slowly to pull the floating torso away from the woman. "Thanks, the paintball war was really fun," Aphi added, smiling at Rochan.

"I'm not annoying her," Rivener protested with a frown, yanking his wing out of Aphi's fingers once he'd been pulled back a foot or so. "She said I could borrow it, and she seemed happy about it. Get her address so we can go visit!"

"Rivener!" Aphismet snapped slightly, frowning. "Don't push yourself on others-"

"I didn't! It was HER suggestion!"

"...Was it?" Aphi asked, turning his eyes to the blue-haired woman.

Ebony sighed quietly, the tension in the air having finally been broken. It had been far easier with others to divert David’s anger, especially happy go lucky types like Aphismet and this…RoChan was it? “Yes, I was. I was eliminated unfortunately.” A sneaky glare was tossed to David then. “Were you in it too? How far did you get?”

Pulling her slender legs up to her chest, her warmth hadn’t quite returned completely yet, Ebony regarded the blue haired female silently as she awaited her response. She was sort of pretty and seemed rather kind and generous if she was allowing the Scorpion to borrow something called a star camera. A bell went off in her head then. ‘A star camera sounds rather rare…and expensive…’ Perhaps she’d have to listen more closely now on this subject. The Brit began to doodle things in the sand then as she mentally scolded herself for thinking about work when she was suppose to be having a good time. Oddly enough, one the doodles became a dollar sign. Of course she quickly destroyed that image.

(( Limbo Line - FIN ))

Mouse felt a small wave of concern as Zavier took a fall during his last limbo round... but Lazarus was already rushing to his aid, and she imagined Dr. Kyou and Dr. Tsu would probably be able to help more than she would, since she knew little about first aid and even less about Raevan first aid.

So she waved everyone out of the way in order to give the stormy Frei more breathing space, and went on to announce the winner of the Limbo Contest.

"And it looks like one of our Pie Queens is getting an ethnic new scepter, because our limbo winner is..."

(( Sand 'n' Stuff ))

Lucia stirred as Mouse's voice blared out the results of the limbo contest. Waking up from her brief nap, Lucia didn't know where she was. She was a little cold. As a breeze blew by, not only was it chilly, but a granular substance was being blown onto and across her. As she opened one eye slightly she became really confused. It was dark. A fire pit was being built to her left and she could hear the soft roll of the waves lapping at the shore as the tide rose.

Lucia rolled onto her chest and stretched her arms over her head, her ribbon being stretched tightly. Throwing her head back and arching her back Lucia pushed her shoulder blades together as she worked out all the tiredness from her limbs.

Floating up to a sitting position, Lucia looked around tiredly. She shook her head to get any sand off of her hair and began rubbing her arms, both because of the cold and to brush off the sand.

She curled in a ball clutching her ribbon to her chest as if she was grabbing her knees. With one free hand she ran her fingers through her hair to fix any strands that came out of place while she had slept.

Yuurei walked over to Lucia. "Hey sleepy. I signed you up for storytime, so you better wake up."

Lucia looked quizzically at her guardian. Rivener had signed her up. Then she remembered. Yuurei had scared Rivener off before. Rivener had . . . Lucia looked around trying to locate the raevan. The moon was high in the sky, though last glimmers of sunset were on the horizon. She scanned the shore where Rivener had run to and her eyes saw that blue haired girl Rivener had pointed out with her arms around him. Looking away and feeling very confused she looked up at her guardian. "I'm up."

"RoChan, huh? Cute name," David purred instinctively to the woman's introduction, but paused at the bringing up of the paintball event. Feeling an awkward blush lighten his cheeks a bit, the usually composed man shuffled his feet and chuckled, making sure to make no eye contact with either women, "Yeah, I was on your team during the paintball event. I'm the one who took the most hits remember?"

Hopefully he had just sacrificed his pride to receive a sweet giggle or two from one of the girls. It was one of the few tactics he rarely ever used. ..That's when he realized something. Raising his stormy eyes, he looked among the faces: RoChan, Ebony, the begging Raevan (Rivener was his name?) and the white haired stranger. His eyes lingered on the other man for a few seconds before realizing yes, he had yet to ask a name! How foolish. Extending a courteous hand to Aphismet, David broke out into an admired grin, "How rude of me. My name is David, David Nao. This is my first Lab event but perhaps you've encountered my sister, Namini, before, Mr...?"

It had gotten dark enough for the campfire to be able to illuminate a large part of the beach, and with the music and lights turned down in the beach bar it easily drew the eye. A bag of marshmallows, a box of graham crackers and plenty of chocolate was available for people who wanted to make s'mores treats while they waited for a chance to add to the story, with kebab sticks from the buffet washed and reused for that purpose.

The green-haired event coordinator sat waiting for people to show up while thinking of a good short phrase to start the game with.

When she was ready, she hushed the people sitting around the fire with her, and began...

A long time ago, on a distant planet revolving around a distant star, there was a great evil known only be the name...

((Limbo -> Beach Bar))

Niksia had been watching the events of the Limbo with a detached air, more out of being in the sun all day than anything else. She was aware as well of various dramatics being played out across the sand and gazed on them briefly with amusement. While rubbing her dark brown eyes with the back of a gloved hand one of the Raevans in the event collapsed under the limbo bar! In the blink of an eye he was surrounded and carried off to the Beach Bar, which let Niksia give a little sigh of relief.

But when the redhead reached up to tighten her scarf around her throat she felt nothing, and remembered she'd left it at the beach bar for safe keeping! The strangled sound that forced its way out of her throat was that of someone having forgotten something very important, and the scarf certainly came under that heading.

Niksia slid into her sandals and nearly bounded across the sand toward the bar. A little push and she was leaning over the bar to grab her folded scarf where she had left it earlier. After a little fumbling and shuffling she leaned over again and left a little bundle of folded bills in its place.

'Thanks! I don't feel complete without it. And it's getting colder now.'

Stepping slightly away from the increasingly crowded bar, Niksia began the process of wrapping the long red scarf around her bare shoulders.

Location: Beach Bar ---> Bonfire

All the hours that had passed. The paintball, the pie eating contest, even limbo. She had managed to sleep through it all. After Josh had nicely bandaged her up from that horribly embarrassing fall earlier, she had set up her towel and everything just enough by the bar to create a lovely bit of shade. Tanning was not on her adgenda, and even if it had been, falling asleep in the middle of the sun would have been awful. No, Ani had just intended on resting, stretched out so that she wouldn't jostle the bandages, and just take the rest of the day pretty slowly.

Before the events she noted several of the Raevans passing by, some she had seen earlier, some that were entirely new. They always looked so amazing, like they were creatures from a dream; it was so hard to believe they were real, but if she started to think they weren't it was almost as if their non-existence would be a terrible thing.

Tango had stayed closed to her during her slumber, not venturing too far, or even far enough to pull the arm that still had his leash tied to it. During the events he had taken it upon himself to be the bar's personal vacuum and cleaning utensil, licking up any spilled drinks or dropped ice (he was especially fond of the ice), and, of course, and food crumbs were his for the taking. Now, however, he was laid out beside Ani, panting lightly in the cooling air, loving the refreshing breeze.

She groaned, moving the free arm that she had placed over her eyes before falling into that rather deep slumber. What time was it? It was so much darker then when she had drifted off. Mumbling a few slurs, she pulled herself up, tugging Tango gently so she could roll up the towel and put it back into her bag. The bonfire was up, and she could faintly smell some chocolate melting. Mmm... s'mores.

...Wait a second... didn't I sign up for something..?

In a brief moment of panic she grabbed up her bag and jogged to the sign up sheets. Everything had been done, everything except-- a loud sigh of relief --except the one thing she had signed up for. Bonfire Stories. Apparently that was happening now, what luck. Still, she wished she had woken earlier. The bar didn't seem too crowded and Dr. Kyou was fairly free, but she didn't want to hold anyone up or be late... Just purchasing a bottled water and thanking him with a quick, though half hearted smile, she then trudged along through the luke-warm sands towards the campfire.

It seemed things were just beginning.

A long time ago, on a distant planet revolving around a distant star, there was a great evil known only be the name...

Settling in at one of the open spaces, she wondered if signing up for this would actually be a good idea. Public speaking certainly wasn't a strong point of hers, but then again, who would she have to impress here? It was all in good fun, that was the point of it, right?

Lightly, she cleared her throat to continue where Mouse had left off...
"The name of Praxis, a terrible overlord who ruled with an ironfist..."

Where she had gotten that idea, she wasn't even sure, but as long as it kept the story moving...

((Sand n’ stuff))

RoChan gave a small sigh of relief as she watched the two boys begin to calm down. Waving her hand in a dismissive manner she smiled at Aphismet and Rivener. “Oh, he’s not bothering me at all. It’s rare for me to meet another camera enthusiast, most especially one that wants to take pictures of stars and planets.” The way everyone kept insisting on commenting on the camera was a tell tale sign that they were all as curious about it as the frei was. “I’m not sure what everyone thinks it to be but it’s really just a telescope that you can attach to a camera. It’s not really easy to find and mine even more.” She grinned and winked at Rivener. “It’s the best one around! I guarantee it!” She didn't even bother stating that it also was the most expensive thing she owned and would probably die if the thing ever broke.

Turning to David next she was unfazed by his comment on her name instead something else he said caught her attention. Smiling ever so brightly the blue haired woman kindly spoke. “Oh, you were the most hit, huh? Ha ha ha.” A thin, heavy hand patted the Chinese male’s back a bit roughly with each sharp ‘ha.’ Her fake laugh turned into a slight glare as her tone of voice changed into something deeper and darker. “So I guess I can blame you for our team losing huh?” Never mind that RoChan had only managed one hit and never even manged to use her last two shots. But at least she avoided being hit until the very end! Within seconds RoChan’s beaming smile was back on as she crouched down near Ebony to better talk to her.

“Ah, only made it to the fifth round.” She pouted cutely at the violet haired woman. “What about you? I saw you leave earlier than I did, but I wasn’t participating until much later so I missed my turn a few times.” The more the blue dragon thought about it, the more she remembered thinking that she wanted to eavesdrop on her and David's conversation, thinking that it might be fun. Her cheeks colored in embarrassment at remembering that thought now.

((Beach bar --> Bonfire))

Jupiter had been so stuffed after the pie eating contest, that he had fallen asleep! Lauma looked over him silently after returning from her own activities, she had pretty much disappeared after loosing interest in paint ball. She had noticed Jupiter's name on the list for it, but had forgotten to wake him when the time came. It didn't matter anyways, his team lost. Jupiter's skin, which was usually just slightly brown, had become bright red in all the parts that had been exposed to the sun. He obsessed about her sunscreen and forgot to put on his? Typical. She gently nudged him with her finger.

"Juuupiter..."

"Hm, whut?" Jupiter arose, bleary eyed and slightly confused. It was much darker than he remembered. He turned and saw Lauma, her pale skin glowing in the light of the bonfire that had started up while he was asleep. "What time is it?" he asked drowsily.

"No watch," Lauma sighed, "you missed paint ball."

"PAINT BALL!" Jupiter jerked upright, "OhmygoshIsignedupandnowImisseditandpeoplearegoingtohatemeohgodohgod..." he panicked for several seconds about social standing which in his eyes now placed him as a paint ball ditching villain of a stranger who could never be trusted. His sun burn eventually caught up to him and he felt pain every time his skin stretched and moved.

"Oh geeze," Jupiter said in a strained voice, wincing as he lifted his hand to his forehead, "I have to go get ointment. Uh, uh, oh yes! I said you'd do the story contest. Please go over and try to make friends. Hopefully they won't be mad at you for what I did." half of Jupiter's face had been burned but the heavy blush that was rising in his face evened out the color a little bit. With a finial indecisive fidget, Jupiter scuttled away towards their stuff, laying abandoned on the beach.

Lauma watched him go, silently staring after him. Then, like a ghost, she drifted away towards the bonfire, sitting herself down around it unnoticed. She heard the first two lines of the story, and her mind immediately flew to what the third one should be:

"He had massive armies of metal and iron so deadly that no one could stand in their way..."

Zave being carried into the shack managed to sober Tsu up more than anything else. It's not like he had a lot of alcohol anyway. It seemed that Kyou had been masterful at watering down all his drinks... and keeping the alcohol bottles out of reach. No one was sure if it was because We`rika was around, or if it was Tsu was around. Probably both.

In any case, Tsu walked over to check on his charge. Zave's pallor was considerably lighter than normal and there we beads of sweat on his brow that almost looked like symptoms from a fever. However, the cracked, dry lips were more the tell tale signs of dehydration. "I can't tell for sure from first glance, but it seems like he has a case of dehydration with heat exhaustion." Tsu finally announced. "In any case, I better get him back to the apartment to rest and refill on fluids."

Zave tried sitting up, only to be pushed down again. "I'm fine..." he managed weakly. He didn't want to cause unnecessary worry after all. "I just need a little time to rest."

"You'll get rest. Back at the apartment. We better also get you a check up in the next couple of days." Tsu mused in a business like manner while scooping up the waistless being.

"Okay..." Zave conceded. Fighting this point would be very tiring and useless. "... but not by you. I want to be checked up by Laz." Zave finished before falling asleep once more. With that the two made their way back to the water front apartment complex that they lived in.

Limbo--->Storytelling

For the first time, Pasha's smile well and truly vanished. Even as the limbo contest was announced, she caught a glimpse of Zavier...laying so still, pale hair spilled across the sand. Gasping, Melisande's hands balled against her stomach as it clenched, her eyes wide at the sight of him.

The fact that she had won didn't sink in. "Zavier?" Just as fast, the crowd closed in, and Melisande bobbed and twisted trying to see past them. Where was Zae? What had happened?!

Weaving between the nearest people, brushing lightly past Mouse, the distraught Sigel tried to find her way. There were people, gathering in a circle..perhaps he was there?

"Zavier?"

She frowned at David’s purring voice as it was directed towards RoChan. Quickly looking away before any of the others caught sight, Ebony’s nose twitched slightly. She was uncomfortable with the Asian male speaking to this other woman, or rather how he was looking and speaking to her then. She shouldn’t be though and that just confused her even more. But it wasn’t like she should take it out on Ro as it was obvious the woman was totally oblivious to the man’s advances. ‘Probably too many conversations going that she’s just trying to keep up with it all, so of course she wouldn’t notice. Though…why am I?’

Ebony tossed the thought and strange feelings aside, giving the blue-haired woman a polite smile. “Out in the third round.” She gave a light sigh at her defeat, but it had been better than she could have hoped for. Hearing the announcement for the last event, the violet-haired female asked, “The storytelling is starting. Are any of you involved with that? Wouldn’t want to keep any of you.”
