Aizel backed off as Nalini advanced, syringe still in her hands.

She placed the tip of the syringe into the bottle, and began to fill it up.
'Don't worry too much - if something goes seriously wrong, MK'll be able to fix it.'

She threw a ball of DRKNRGY at his feet.
'We can do this the easy way or the hard way, and if you continue trying to head over to the door without me noticing, I'm going to take that as your way of saying "the hard way, please".'

Aizel let out a small whimper and tried to dart out of the way. The DRKNRGY struck him just above the ankle. He hissed between his teeth, and heard the sound of approaching footsteps.
In here, Aizel thought. Someone come in here and get this psychopath away from me, please...!

*MK finally reached the lab, and the footsteps stopped. He peered in the glass of the door and say Nalini facing Aizel, and Aizel steps from the door. He jiggled the handle, only to find it locked*

Seeing the Captain's face on the other side of the glass, Aizel tried again to go for the lock.
