He probably should have planned that better as the force weight of Aliya sent him tumbling backwards. Even though technically Aliya weighed less than he did being an elf and all. Still, he ended up on his back, with his hand still gripping her elbow and fortunately not back in mer form. That had always been the problem about being caught off guard and falling.

"Are you two alright?" Feng asked as she watched the ending result.

Aliya landed laying pretty much right on top of Ryu, and her forehead hit against his chin. She started seeing spots, and lay where she was for a moment, then shook her head to get rid of them. Only then did she realize how she was laying, and sat up, worried about Ryu.

"Sorry," she apologized as she climbed off of him. "I didn't mean to do that ..."

Of course, she was oblivious to the way laying like that might have appeared to anyone watching.



Elberon heard the crash and looked sharply to see what had happened. His eyes narrowed slightly when he saw the way that Aliya was laying on Ryu, but he wisely kept his mouth shut and instead turned his attention back to Lin - which wasn't difficult, as her last comment had intrigued him.

"Is there anything at all that you can tell me?" he asked.

Ryu sat up and rubbed the back of his head. There was a place that was going to be tender for a while, but at least he didn't give himself anything worse than a light bruise.

"It's fine, it was quite a gamble I took on my part," he murmured.

He hadn't realize exactly how akward the position had been, but then again he did hit his head hard.

Feng giggled a bit, though not about the position, just about the silliness of it all.

Ryu took her hand and helped himself up, "I'll be fine."

He wondered what Feng saw that made her giggle like that, but he didn't have time to ask as his twin pounced on him. Hugging him and hanging off of his shoulders.

"That was quite a fall wasn't it?" Feng asked, "But at least you didn't turn back into a mer."

Now it was Aliya's turn to giggle at Feng.

"Careful!" she laughed. "Or you'll just knock him over again!"

She set the sword to the side and rubbed her forehead gently. "I think we should either leave the weapons alone," she murmured, "and fight just hand to hand, or else take a break. Something like that again, and we may end up cutting each other ... and my head hurts now."




Elberon nodded. "I see. When else did you meet her? Where?"

He might not be able to ask certain questions, but he was still going to ask as many as he could.

"I won't do that," Feng smiled innocently, in which Ryu rolled his eyes because he knew she would actually, because it was Feng, "Maybe you both should take a break. Since you both whacked your heads hard."

"For once I won't disagree with you..."

"Elnara is Serenity's daughter," Lin explained, "Elnara has a big family, she has her family which she was born from, like Elrohir, and Serenity and her other brothers, and then she has the family she kind of just became a part of because she couldn't go home and that's us."

"It's nearly time to meet Halmir, anyways," Aliya commented, her eyes taking in the sun as it began to lower down toward the horizon. "And after all, we did do a lot today."



Elberon nodded. "I see ... I think. So now Serenity's daughter, Lord Elrohir's sister, is living with your family? How did that happen? Why couldn't she go home?"
