Teardrop glared at him for a moment, then brushed his hands off her ears. They twitched, and she sighed. She felt a little uncomfortable with him. She hoped he wouldn't ask about her father again. She glanced at the creature that was still unconsciece not far from them.

"Something wrong?" Baylor asked. He could tell something was bothering his friend, so he sat down next to her. "You wanna talk about it? It might help." He didn't want to bring up an uneasy subject.

Teardrop didn't look at him. Finally, she said, "It's..nothing. Why do you care anyway" Besides, he might have some spy watching from somewhere... "So what're we gonna do with Mr. Ugly?" she asked, looking at the monster.

Teardrop was silent as she looked down at her legs. She still had a scar from the other day, but it was not infected anymore. "....I don't see why you care so much about that big ugly thing. It attacked us, and you're still helping it."

Teardrop growled. She looked angrily at Baylor. "What a creature did something terrible that can never be forgiven and turned completely evil?! What if there was a creature that was harmless and even really great but just suddenly transformed into this horrible thing and killed..." She didn't finish her sentence and hid her face in her hands so he wouldn't see her cry.

Baylor jumped when she started yelling at him. But then he saw her turn away suddenly for one reason or another. Crap! I'm such an idiot! I'm such an akward idiot! "Um... are you ok Tear? I'm sorry if I made you upset. I didn't mean it." Baylor put a comforting hand on her shoulder.

Teardrop shook her head. "No.. you didn't.... It's nothing." She wiped the tears from her face and stood up. She picked up her sword, sheathed it, and jumped into the trees. I'm such an idiot! I've never done that before.... Why'd i just start crying like a baby!?

Teardrop sat drying her tears on the highest branch in the tree above him. If only things could be how they were a long time ago... If only they could be how they were before Mother died, she thought bitterly to herself. She growled and almost hissed at the thought of ever having to explain to someone what had happened.
