Oh I know...they barely could handle the Rams. Good for them that Donnie Avery has trouble carrying loaves of bread much less a football. Idiot fumbling on the go ahead drive... stare
Do you watch college?

I gave up watching college ball after Osborne left Nebraska and they showed they couldn't find their own doohickies in the dark. I'll catch a game every now and then for a peek at upcoming talent but I don't follow it seriously any more.

Ah....Notre Dame fan here. I'm totally brainwashed...I followed the Irish right through their darkest seasons since Holtz left. They look a lot better this year so far.
I'm glad you are not a fan of my most hated NFL teams tho...the Cowboys and the Patriots...the Steelers to a lesser extent.

I admire the Pats and Steelers for being exceptional organizations but I'm not a fan. I admire a lot of teams for various reasons like the Dolphins... Wildcat offense *swoon*. Never mind that I'm a crusty old fart, I squeal like a school girl when I watch that stuff.

Er...I yell at the little men so they play better....that's theory anyway. I'm not sure I'm that big a fan of the wildcat. Although ND scored a TD pass with it on Saturday.

I have always been a fan of trick plays, gadget plays and other tom foolery as opposed to the standard run twice and throw routine. That's not to say I think the wildcat should replace a standard offense. Left on it's own the wildcat is fairly easy to defend since it basically eliminates the quarterback (the typical qb, although a guy like Vick would be sexy as hell in that offense), so use it as an option instead and play with it, imagine a wildcat no huddle coming out of nowhere after playing a standard O for a few posessions?

Well the problem I see is the same problem that developed by teams using the option. Players are getting bigger and faster all of the time which made the option go by the wayside. I think the same thing will happen to the wildcat. Right now it's still new and confuses defensive players somewhat.
I do agree that someone with Michael Vick's skills would do very well in it.

Ya, The WC is unique in that it requires certain types to be at it's best. A pocket passer like Brady just wouldn't work. You need a guy who can be an effective receiver, halfback or quarterback at the same time and those kinds of guys are hard to find. That's why I'm so high on Vick, he can do all that. You also need a beast of an offensive line and receivers who aren't afraid to throw a block. I don't think it's a good permanent style of offense but when used at the right time can really throw people off.

Ugh....Vick. I can't get past the dog fighting thing. As bad as the Rams are I'm still glad he's not on the team.

Looks like I'll be busy cooking. You'll have to play host for this thing. It's my own scatterbrained fault.
