"Hm? Oh, another one? Come on in." Sub said as he called out to Terashi.

Reno looked at Dante with a mixture of sadness and elation, finally able to see that his family abandoning him to live on the streets let him grow up better than if he had been left with them to absorb their narrow-minded views. "You....You expect me not ta accept ya? After I lived on the streets fer my 'ole life and 'ad no family beyond those I found there with me. You really expected me ta care which way ya swing?" Reno asked Dante, exasperated at how little his cousin thought of him. Shaking his head and putting on his typical smirk, he continued. "Welcome ta Snagem then. 'Ere we work off the basis a few small crimes for the good of humanity. You already met Leslie, who I consider ta be the closest thing I can 'ave at this point to a daughter." On Dante's shoulder, Leslie would swing herself around Dante's neck, dangling a second before she dropped to the floor. "So he's gonna stay, right?" Leslie asked, staring up into Reno's eyes. Reaching his hand down, Reno ruffled her hair and told her, "He's stayin' alright. I'm never leavin' my family behind, not for anythin'."

Reno looked to Dante before answering with a bit of a sheepish look to him. "Street life is all I know so I can't really measure it against yer life. But I know what it's like ta 'ave people treat ya like dirt everyday, in and out, just for being you." Reno put a hand on Dante's shoulder at this point. "But I learned one thing, the darkest hour is just before the dawn. So welcome to the dawn, Dante." Feeling the poking in his side, Reno turned to see Sylar there, with his scythes pointed at Reno. Putting his hands up in a placating gesture, he added, "It appears I am being summoned. Maybe you should wait outside Kairi's room fer this. She sin't exactly in 'er...best state a dress." Walking to Kairi's room, he slipped in the door before admiring the woman on the bed. She looked absolutely heavenly, but he knew if he got into the bed with her, she might have another bad reaction. So at the edge of the room Reno waited, hoping she would wake up.

Leslie looked up to Dante before innocently asking, "What does he mean by that, mister Dante? Are Kairi's clothes ripped or something?" She grabbed the blue haired man's hand and began to drag him along after Reno. "Lets go see if we can help." Leslie told him, but was unable to open the door that Reno had shut for Kairi's room. Otherwise, she might have gotten to see her sister in a state that only Reno should be around to see. Walking away from the door, Leslie sat on the ground outside before asking again, "So what did Reno mean by that?"

Reno gave a nervous grin before he walked over to Kairi's bedside. Brushing the blanket away from her chest, he told her, "Well, you were running a fever. Generally you try ta cool off when ya 'ave a fever. The fact I got ta see ya with less clothing than usual was just a bonus. The fact you were prepared to jump me earlier was a shocker." Leaning his head closer, he kissed her forehead and began to smile at her sweetly. "You know, you could actually try and just let go of this whole 'tough girl' act and actually show yer feelings fer me. I wouldn't tell anyone if ya did it." Reno kept the sweet smile on his face as he ran a hand down Kairi's face.

Leslie looked to the Vulpix licking her face before giggling a little. The Vulpix's tongue tickled and it was making her laugh. Looking at Dante, she began to suspect eh knew what Reno meant and wasn't telling her. "Tell me what Reno meant. I know you know. But if your Vulpix only likes cute little girls, why does she like you?" Leslie asked innocently, knowing already she had just managed to return the joke. She stuck her tongue out at Dante before adding, "Seriously, tell me please."

Reno watched his girlfriend's eyes both begin to leak tears, with Reno able to see her scarred-over eye. Putting a single finger on her chin, he lifted her head to face him, allowing him to fully see her scarred eye. White line crisscrossed the entire area, a few of them being on her eyelid. Reaching to the eyelid, he carefully opened it up, revealing that there was still an eyeball in there. One with a large scar on it and that had it's iris color fade, but an eye none the less. Kissing her on the lips, he told her, "I find yer scars add ta yer 'ole personality. Why keep hiding something that's part of you that, despite it's ugliness, let's people see you fully for who you are and let them see yer beauty. I know I see it, everyday when I get you to smile and when I get you to show a lil more emotion." Hugging the redhead close, he whispered, "I know ya love me, but it's nice ta have some sign from you to remind me. Otherwise, I get a lil unsure. Can ya do tha' fer me, Kairi? I'll help through your personal demons and when I get you well enough, maybe we can do what you wanted earlier. But first, just tell what ta do right now, my white eyed princess." Reno told the scarred beauty in his arms, kissing her lips again. Physical intimacy would be out of reach for a while he assumed, but this felt nice. If things got physical, he got a welcome surprise. If they didn't, well, he would survive knowing it would eventually happen.

Leslie looked at Dante oddly before telling him, "Does that mean Kairi is naked in there? And Reno is in there now? Well, I guess maybe we should stop creeping next to the door. Don't wanna interrupt anything." Leslie may have looked innocent, but she was a street kid. One of the first lessons she picked up was learning what she may have had to do to survive. Stuff like that was high on the list for girls who looked like her, so she had a working knowledge of what to do. No practice, thank god, but some knowledge. Looking at Nina, she added, "I think I may have just broken mister Dante's sight of me being innocent." She punctuated this with a small giggle, showing how childish she still was. Not stupid or innocent, but just childish due to get age.

I stared at the meteorite fragment as it... consumed the two smaller ones and... got bigger. Riiiiiiight. "Wow. That is straight-up creepy. Good luck with those... with that thing." I said before walking out of the lab.

With that business done, I made my way to the main lobby and sat down on a couch before rubbing my temples. Eventually, I'd get used to all the unbelievable things this team had to offer, but this was not that day.

As I was sitting there rubbing my temples in an attempt to quell a rising headache, I noticed I wasn't alone.

"Hello," I said a bit off-handedly to Lucius

"You're welcome," I said with a bit of a nod to Lucius. "And that makes two of us. If this Galaxy Club start's trouble, we'll put them down. Though personally, I wish we could get this meteorite business done and over with. They've already caused one among our ranks to betray us. I don't know why Sub doesn't just destroy them completely, but I'm sure he knows what he's doing."

At least, I hoped he knew what he was doing.
