I got access to the Beta, and ended up choosing the Flameborn. It's an interesting game, and fairly simple to play, but the Cataclysm effects that shuffle the map tiles take some getting used to.

Very annoyed atm because I can't download the new Walking Dead episode 8< It can't connect...
I'm assuming this is because 500,000+ gamers all realised the new episode was released at around the same time, and we're now waging war on the servers 8D

Hm... despite my allegiance with Louie's side, I think I'll sit the actual event out... it doesn't seem as interesting this time.

Yeah, I don't think I'll be taking part either. Doesn't interest me sweatdrop I always love seeing what the shopkeepers are dressed up as though!! 4laugh Can we see how many of them we know? Me and the Doc worked together to identify this many: Ian = THE DOCTAR Mintaka and Rigel = Mulder and Scully Louie = ...He reminds me of the butler from Black Butler. Might be wrong though Sasha = Whatsherface from Avatar: The Last Airbender Carl = The weird bear thing from One Piece Brennivin = Gumshoe from Phoenix Wright, or as I identified him - "That detective from that series." I'm so good at this you guys look at me go Ruby = Power Girl Peyo = PEYO WITH A DUCK I.E HIS IDEAL DREAM STATE OF BEING Cresento = Loki Vanessa = CATWOMAN!! MIAOOOOW Stein = Van Gogh The Wing Scouts = Creepy children, no different to usual. Kyle suggested they're from Children of the Corn. Rina = SAILOOOR MOOOON!How'd we do? 8D Can you guys get any more? Edit the next day: I went and clicked my own link again for some reason and ended up watching thissss 8]]]] OH THE NOSTALGIA

I'm probably not going to do the event either, although that might change depending on circumstances I can't even predict....if that makes sense XD
School's just decided to throw me into a boxing ring and proceed to beat the ever-loving s**t out of me this semester, so my absences are often frequent, lengthy, and unpredictable, something I hate. Thankfully, once December rolls around I'm done! XD

Yes, I'm fine. Things here are starting to look more normal... I haven't tried going back into the city yet though...
I'll probably make the trek tomorrow, since I heard that they restored some of the train service already... I should see if the office is still dark or if I can actually go to work again. We'll see.

Hey red, yous till playing Heralds of Chaos? I finally got access to the beta, and I chose Flameborn too. It's a pretty interesting game, and I agree that the cataclysm board shuffles do take some getting used to, but it's pretty innovative. I was enjoying it for a while until minor annoyances started adding up.
Firstly the game felt really clunky, in the way you move units around and such, so i switched from my mouse to my tablet and that kind of helped. The loading times were pretty slow. Not in an "awful lag" sort of way, just in a "please wait while we take more time than we should" way. I felt like the game board got pretty messy when you start moving a lot of pieces around in one turn.
Then when I was playing matches with other players, whenever it was time to do battle the game for me just utterly froze up. By the time I thought to try reloading the page the first time it happened my opponent had done six turns worth of damage on me, a single unit decimating my three units without a single point of damage dealt by me =P It was pretty early in the game so I forfeited without worrying too much about it. Then it happened again. And again. The game just kept locking up. So I had to forfeit every time. I feel kind of sad. It doesnt seem I can play with other people if this is gonna keep happening.
I'm not sure whether to make a post about this somewhere... do they have a forum for the beta...? *looks around*

Yes, I still play. In fact, I've gotten my rank up to Lv20 just a little while ago. (and I'll be playing right after posting)
When something glitches, refreshing the page can reset the game's state back to normal. However, for the kind of issues you're talking about, I'm pretty sure there's a forum for bug reports... I think you can get to it from the "Updates" forum in the Lobby area.
It'd be useful if we could trade/delete cards... I have too many copies of some that will never be used...

You've been playing quite a bit!! It IS pretty addictive. I think I'm up to rank 9 or 10. I was playing whilst monitoring the election last night and before i knew it 1 a.m had turned into 3.30 a.m. Whooooooops
I wish that before you get to choose your first army you actually got like a rundown of their strengths as opposed to just a story about their general beliefs. I've been reading up a bit on the forums and it seems most people strategise that the different sides are best played in different styles, but I really wasn't aware of that when I first chose my side and thought the differences were mostly cosmetic, you know?
That said after my first few tentative rounds I started playing much more aggressively, which by happy coincidence it seems people agree suits the Flameborn. I've been trying different things and twice now I've wiped out the computer in just a few turns by rapidly stealing their base portal and then quickly destroying whatever forces they managed to summon before I took it. I exploited the Cataclysm board movements to put my herald into a position where he could strike at the home base. The rest of my units were manoeuvred in such a way that the remaining enemy units were surrounded on all sides. It's a very bold strategy and it could've gone horribly wrong, but it didn't =D
Only downside is there were so few battles I didn't get much - what do they call it? Energy stuff. The purple stuff. Yknow.
And I agree it'd be useful to trade or delete cards. Every time I level up and it says I've "unlocked a better bonus card" I'm like HURRAY and then it gives me the same old crappy Scout I'll never even use. mrgreen
