EDIT: *flutters back in after having made her muddy marks in the EDIT ME NAO thread and scuttles around, trying to remember where the jukebox is and what the bottom of it looks like. [Insert HUSH WORD here] finally bumps into it and wonders if it costs money because [insert HUSH WORD here] didn't bring any with her.
It's way too high for a baby partridge to fly to the important part of the jukebox, so [insert HUSH WORD here] runs and jumps and flaps and tries to get onto a nearby chair unsuccessfully. It's a good day though, and [insert HUSH WORD here] doesn't run into anything, but just flutters under the seat to the ground on the other side of the chair.
Cheerleaders don't give up easily and even as a partridge, Bandy has stickum so [insert HUSH WORD here] gives it another go. This time [insert HUSH WORD here] isn't so lucky and flying slightly further, [insert HUSH WORD here] suddenly sees herself about to collide into the jukebox. Not skilled at evasive maneuvers, [insert HUSH WORD here] turns as best [insert HUSH WORD here] can and just grazes it and slides almost gracefully down to the floor again.
There's got to be a better way and Bandy figures it out. It's simple really, like a puzzle. [insert HUSH WORD here] runs over to the liquor shelves and jump/flies back and forth from the shelves behind the sink to the display shelves till [insert HUSH WORD here] gets as high as [insert HUSH WORD here] can go. Then with a mighty jump and good aim and furious flapping [insert HUSH WORD here] is able to land on the jukebox. Sadly, the surface is slick and there is nothing to stop her momentum and [insert HUSH WORD here] slides right into the back, giving herself quite the blow and lies there stunned for a while.
When the ceiling stops making faces at her, [insert HUSH WORD here] rolls over and looks at the songlist to see if Pink by Aerosmith is there and it isn't. In fact, the list is on the M's so there is some scrolling to do. Bandy scoots over to the scroll forward button because it is closer and sits on it, but it doesn't do anything.*
kuta-kut.
*[insert HUSH WORD here] rests for a while and then gets up and jumps on the scroll button and it still won't push down. [insert HUSH WORD here] jumps as hard as [insert HUSH WORD here] can and thinks maybe if [insert HUSH WORD here] does a running round off back tuck and lands right on it... then [insert HUSH WORD here] remembers partidges probably can't do that kind of stuff and [insert HUSH WORD here] thinks of a cuss word [insert HUSH WORD here] once heard here in the bar.
Bandy considers looking at all the songs visible for the word "pink" but what good would that do if [insert HUSH WORD here] can't push the buttons? It was soooo hard to get up here and now.... defeat.
Bandy decides nothing is gonna stop her. [insert HUSH WORD here] just needs time to think up a new plan. Exhausted, [insert HUSH WORD here] curls up next to the back to think and drifts off to sleep*
