Well that was encouraging, now wasn't it? She reached out and petted at the fawn lightly, offering her a bit of sugar. "There you go little one. This tastes even better and it's a reward for coming out." All animals liked sugar, after all, it was sugar. To them it was like Piper's cinnamon to her. She scratched behind her ears lightly and then moved back a few more feet. "Come on little one, all the way out this time."

The fawn did indeed come all the way out this time with the extra attention. Gee, this was kind of nice..people asking her to come out rather than proding her without pointy or zappy things. She took the sugar without question, sucking on it slowly. She smiled, and slipped her hoof into Zahara's hand, as if to say, okay! I'm ready.
Taken by surprise, yes, but inactive no. Sevilin pounced, and Raziel pulled Kiran's hari down and to the side, that nice little trick of making Kieran duck for cover. Worked pretty well, didn't it?
"That is a little uncalled for!"
She was wet and she was in a dragon's claw. Well, things copuld be worse, couldn't it? "I'm not sure if I am every going to understand elves and more than I am going to udnerstand humans." She looked up at the dragon. "Um...turn left!"
A look at Cedric. "Honestly, are all elves like this?"

Zahara grinned and scrathched her again. "Very good." seh praised then took the little fawn's hoof and led her all the way out, to the front of the stables. "Now, you can go anywhere in this field but this field only. The others in there are your playmates and you'll have a lot of fun with them. But if you venture outside, I can't guarantee your safety." She had crouched down to the Fawn's level, ever mindful of the childlike tendency she had and said it softly so as not to alarm her. Giving a whistle, much the way Piper always did, she waited for the others to come, especially the Tempest. Let's see how they responded. She heard mild commotion but ignored it, this was far more important than Malik's underlings in a scuffle. At least that's the way she felt until she heard a familiar voice prickle the hair son the back of her neck. Coming fully out she saw Kieran take a dagger through his arm, crippling it and shook her head, "Dammit Sevilin! Stop it!" She dropped the fawn's hoof and raced forward pulling out her daggers and rushing in between the circling elves, shoving Sevilin back. Not that the damn man moved, but hey, it felt better. "Back off!"

"Elves are as various as any race, but we have a tendancy to conform to certain traits depending on which branch of elf you belong to. Drow, as you seem to know, are violent, and often devious. Moon Elves, such as Zalikite's branch..."
Cedric paused, "I have not meet many moon elves." He shrugged, as much as he could in the dragon's claw.
"I think it is best to accept that each elf is unique. Trying to understand them in terms of racial origin is ignorant." Cedric smiled at Aella, "But, can anyone truly understand another person? Do we need broad categories to absorb individual beings in order to psychologically accept their existance? Or is it merely our minds being lazy?" The elf smiled warmly, "Maybe now is not the time to debate such things, as currently I am you escort, the least I can do is try to get to know you. Aella, if I might be as bold as to ask what is your ambition?"
The dragon turned towrds the growing image that was the Triumverate Fortress.

Raziel clung tol Kieran's shoulder, scowling at Sevilin. Damn him! He wans't about to loose another master! Now, if only he knew where that little ferret was, he'd attack the drow from behind. But of course, the ferret he was sure,w as watching from somewhere. If he could only get a lock on the animal, maybe Kieran had a good chance of getting out of this.
The fawn, though likeing the horses, was much more interested in what Zahara was running after. With a bit of a worried look, she trotted after Zahara.
She blinked and smiled. "Still, a basic understanding would be nice." Then a bit of a chuckle. "You like asking questons, don't you?" It was kinf of refreshing, and yet had a sort of mystical feeling that she was begining to associate with elves.
As they neared the fortress, she supposed she could let go a little bit and be honest. "My ambition is to be usefull to somebody."

Keely blinked and merely stood there a moment. Oh great, Master and Mistress weren't going to like that at all. But her attention, ever caring turned to the fawn next to her and she pat the little creature on the head before offering another carrot, that was almots snatched by one of the little foals. "Those are not for you, you had your treats already."
They looked positively pitiful trying to earn sympathy treats. Of course they were also very intrigued by thier new friend, now that she was out of the stables and fully visible. Nickers and snuffles at her. Though at her running off, they wanted to follow, only being stopped by Keely with a whistle.
Her attention went to the fawn. "No wait, you don't want to be in that." Jogging after and catching her.
Nym? Indeed watching from the dark. Red eyes shone in the dark a moment before he popped up on a rock to watch better. He wasn't fond of Sevilin going after Kieran, but....it was Kieran's fault. And the little ferret seemed to have his own sense of justice. Thus he wasn't for nor against the scuffle.
The blade of Sevilin's pole arm stopped mere inches from Zahara's head as he paused mid swing. Half in shock over seeing her, and the other half of her actually stepping in. He took a moment to recover himself, hands tightening on his weapon. "Move...this is not your business, woman." Anger burned clear in his eyes. All of them knew that if he wanted her out, he could put her out. Be it force or runes. Thus shown by the threaening of that traget circle flaring around Zahara too. Go on, try him. "He deserves consequences for his lies."
Kieran was taken aback as well as Zahara more or less jumped to his defense, interposing herself between the two of them, daggers drawn and all. He wasn't particularly refusing of Zahara's help, nor did his pride take it to heart. After all, it was better to have someone with you than against you. And Sevilin had more or less ambushed him. He looked to Raziel a moment, seeing the familiar still there with some relief. "I told you know lies. You merely lack the patience to see beyond what is there."
"Oh so you don't know? It's all her little act."Acted the innocent part, but didn't play it for very long, just long enough till she got somewhere. "You and your daughter both...though your daughter is no less guilty that she...

Cedric smiled, "That is a fine ambition." The elf watched the building rush closer to them, he looked up at the dragon, "Could you put us down here?" They must have been a good mile from the gates, "It would be rude if we didn't approach the gates peacefully." Cedric let the dragon placed them on the ground, a makeshift road that lead to the keep. The dragon left almost as soon as he placed them on the ground.
"Now then." Cedric said with a slight mirth in his voice, "Let us see if they will let us in this time." His ears twitched. "it seems that danger is nearby, perhaps we should arm you. You said earlier that you left you staff behind," Cedric unstrapped a quartersaff from his back, and handed it to Aella. "Its not magical, but it is better than nothing."
He looked down the road, "Do you have a favourite food?"

She spared an ear for the one that had tried to lure her outbefore, and well,w hen she say that Zahara was going after violent people, she obediently stopped, even took a few steps backwards. She looked up at the girl "Naa?"
Raziel caught site of the ferret for an instant. Good, he wasn't neat Sevelin. Sorry Nym, I understand how familiesr can be but...if you attack my master, I'm attacking back! With that thought, he jumped from Kierna's shoulder Sevilin's, using his small fingers to claw at the drows face and eyes.
She blinked, a bit surprised. "You think so? Even if it's someone like Tarathiel?" A blush crossed her cheeks.
She was very thankful for the staff, it fel good to have soemtihng in her hands. Odd how she didn't feel uneasy with just Cedric around, him being a man and all. Maybe she was getting better.
As they walked. "A favorite food? I haven't really tried very money food to know my favorite, but if I have to pin it down I'd say...broccoli."

"Tarathiel, eh?" The elf said with a very, cryptic 'I know something you don't know' tone of voice. But he either did want to delve into that detail, or merely glazed over some ancient history with his next phrase. "Broccoli is an interesting choice, I don't hear that very often." He paused, his eyes focused on something beyond the castle for a moment, than he returned to the present. "Actually, I think you are the first to say that to me."
"My favorite food is lambus bread. Its more or less all that remains of my youth. Bread, and Celeste." He chuckled, before moving onto another question. "Have you felt happy?"

She reognozed the tone in his voice. She got that alot, whenever she mentioned Tarathiel. "Yeah, I know. There's alot I don't know about that guy. But he feels like he's a part of my family."
She watched him as gazed off, "Is that a good thing?"
That last question though, she had to think about the rest of the way down the path. She wasn't really certain. Not during her childhood, or most of her teenage life, that's for sure. And now..."A few times. I think." She watched the ground as she walked.

Cedric looked at Aella, and smiled softly. "Tarathiel is a name that was popular in my country." Another one of his currently famous dramatic pauses, "The first time I meet your captain was about five hundred years ago, I was General Tarathiel's shield-barer. Your captain battled him, and won." The elf smirked, "Another elf killed by your captain bore that name as well. He was a Prince." Cedric's voice held some sorrow, but no hatred or any sense for revenge.
"You have lived a hard life in this underworld kingdom. Many share that fate, and often we are unable to get over it, and fall deep into despair. Should we allow oursleves to be swallowed by our missfortunes, or should we strive to live happily? What do you think?" Apparently, favorite food is no longer a topic for discussion.

She was enjoying Cedric's quite disposition. She was having a discussion, and no one was getting mad at her. "Tarathiel is the name of an elf that Kimmuriel killed er..or severals. I know. It just doesn't always feel right to call him Kimmuriel." SHe shrugged. "Probably becuase he introduced himself as Tarathiel."
"I suppose that would depend on how much one liked the misfortine of dispair. Perhaps feeling so miserable, feeling like you are the most lowly of the low, feel special by having yourself become the ruler that all other misery is measured on. Or maybe those few happy moments are enough, and we don't need anymore but a few good memories to keep living." She didn't sound like she had a very strong conviction though. She was enver confident in herself.

"He is not exactly like any drow I have ever meet." Cedric said, "Nor do I think he is exactly who he makes himself out to be." He let that subject fade.
"Why would you want to live, if not to find your own happiness?" A legitimate question, one which carried multiple meanings. A simple question can reveal much about a person, no matter what the answer is.
