Dari laughed. "Right. That hot hot teacher's salary." He shook his head.
"She wouldn't have approached you if she didn't think you were hot, love." Of course, in his mind, Cody was exceptionally attractive, even though he remembered a time when he had been relatively unimpressed.

"Of course I did," Dari answered easily. Not-lying would cause more hurt than necessary. He had grown to appreciate Cody's looks in less than an hour, there was no use in explaining that he hadn't been attracted to Cody's physique. He hit the button again.

Cody studied himself. He shook his head. "Maybe your own shine blinded you," he tsked. He kissed Dari's cheek. "Do you think It's dry enough for us to head out?" he asked.

"Oh, please," Dari said, rolling his eyes. He knew he was conventionally attractive, but Cody tended to exaggerate. "Here, feel it." He offered the shirt to Cody. It was still barely damp, but at least it wasn't brown. It was too bad that that teenager had ruined their coffee break.

Cody took the shirt and put it on. "It's fine," he said, and offered Dari his hand. "Ready, love?" he asked. "Do you want to take a walk in the park?"

"Is that trauma talking?" Dari teased, taking Cody's hand, "Every time someone spills coffee on one of us we have to go to the park?" He kissed Cody's cheek. "Sure, I'd love that."

"Every time," Cody agreed. "But it doesn't count the first time, we already were at the park." He grinned then, and swayed their hands.

Dari laughed, throwing his head back. "Now you know why I can't stand Ancient Aliens. I mean, not that you didn't already." He nodded. "I think you'd be surprised. I can show you quite a bit as an ally. Actually we could get you registered as such when we go."

"I think it's probably sci-fi enough to capture you," Dari agreed, "It is an underground cloaking bunker full of supernatural entities. Except these ones are happy. Mostly."
