Hey...Adult, for competitive play it's against the rules to put more than one pokemon to sleep...
Anyone can make an entire team sleep, as it takes no skill....
Wobbuffet is banned...It's an Uber Tier Pokemon....
If you don't know the rules thats fine, if you do, I'll make sure I will not battle you again. I can send links for rules and tiers, etc...
Other than that, good battle..

well apparently i got the soothe bell earlier in the game and then sold it to a shop.... i'll get one somehow hopefully.

For Adult-ness http://www.smogon.com/dp/tiers/All Uber Tier Pokemon are banned unless agreed upon. Sleep Clause When this clause is on, only 1 Pokemon can be asleep on each team. Does not include self induced sleep. Self-KO Clause When this clause is on, you cannot KO yourself when both players have one Pokemon left. Evasion Clause Moves like Double Team and Minimize are banned. OHKO Clause When this clause is on, you cannot use moves that OHKO (Sheer Cold, Horn Drill, etc) Species Clause When this clause is on, you cannot have more of the same Pokemon. Item Clause is When this clause is on, you cannot have more than one of the same item. Fixed Damage moves Moves like Sonic Boom, and Dragon Rage are allowed. ]Luck Clause When this clause is on, you cannot use items that increase flinching, moving first, critical hits, or lower accuracy. (Quick Claw, Bright Powder, Razor Claw, etc) Limit Clause When this clause is on, there is a limit of 3 leftovers, 2 focus sashes, and 2 choice items.

im an old school trainer i believe all pokemon are welcome and i dont hold back period it proves who is truly strong when no rules exist in combat

I still won...
Anyways, most people who are experienced in competitive play will play by these rules. It makes the game more balanced and some people won't battle you if you just put things to sleep all game.....Seriously, does it make sense to battle a sleeping team? No...It makes the game boring as hell.
If I ever find myself battling you, which I probably won't, I'll bring in the cheapest Pokemon in the world. Arceus, Kyogre, etc, etc....
Also, it proves nothing when all you can do is put everything to sleep, as again, anyone can do that.

the thing we have to do,is make sur eyou inform your oppent of the rules you want to play by.
dont just break the smogon clauses, if you dont like them, tell eveeryone your ignoring it, BEFORE the battle

Yes, two Pokemon asleep on my team and a Wobbuffet (The free kill Pokemon) was unexpected...
Edit - Good night Bunny, I'm gonna hit the hay..I hate sleeping late because I always wake early Dx

i dont believe in the word cheap i simply strategise and come prepared if he cant handle me hes dead meat in the wild believe me a rhydon i caught today nearly sweeped my team.

Okay...in competitive battles there are rules because Pokémon by design is unbalanced, that's why tiers exist, so the unbalanced pokémon (ubers) stay out of competitive play, with that attitude no one is going to want to battle you. These are the standard rules that everyone is expected to follow; the games were made with unbalanced strategies available, just because cheap strategies are available does not make them any less cheap. Rules are in place to remedy their unbalanced nature.
I know this discussion didn't really involve me, but I felt I needed to say something.

Pokemon started out the best thing ever, then people grew up and ruined it. I mean goddamn it's easier to play D&D than it is to understand everything about Pokemon nowadays. I WILL NEVER DO A "COMPETITIVE" BATTLE. That isn't the way the game was made to be played.

Zolaga The Golden Panda In the words of the best elite four member "play with your favorites" all of these stupid rules are the reason Pokemon can get boring. Pokemon started out the best thing ever, then people grew up and ruined it. I mean goddamn it's easier to play D&D than it is to understand everything about Pokemon nowadays. I WILL NEVER DO A "COMPETITIVE" BATTLE. That isn't the way the game was made to be played. Caring is thinking with your heart  Competitive battles make things more fair and balanced though. If I played with my favourites, the game could end up so unbalanced, against me. I'd have a team of Parasect, Ariados, and a few other bugs, while my opponent can run free with Arceus, Dialga, Deoxys, etc. I'd find this really un-fun, as it's unbalanced. Think hard.

if your just playing for fun, thats fine.
but if your playing in a tournyment, would not prefer to win based on skill, rather then luck and cheap thoughtless stratagies?
say there was $10,000 riding on the match, and you lost because the opponent used all Ubers and you were using "balanced" favourite pokemon?
or cause the opponent got lucky with a 10% chance item and went first when they shouldnt have and delivered the first blow.
wouldn't you then wish there was a way to balance it out, so that the tournyment was fair and skill based?
persoanlly, I like having these rules in place, but sometimes its fun to ignore them, if someone specifically tells me they wanted to ignore allthe rules and play for fun, Id be all for it. But sometimes you wanna play a fair match thats been balanced, and you dont have that without smogons rules...
this comming from someone who says he thinks smogon are the poke nazi's sweatdrop
