Caleb shrugged as he watched Enapay, tilting his head slightly. Any other reason you threw a rock at me? Or did you do it just for a bit of last minute vengence? Sure, Caleb had no intention of heading home, but the other didn't seem to want to participate in any interaction, so he was going to wander off and see what else he could find before he got lost again. Or am I just to pretty and you can't help but want to look at me?

Enapay stifled a laugh. I might want to keep you around, as a sidekick. You're funny, you know? He took a few steps closer to the other, stopping with a sigh. I was just testing you. I know you don't want to leave me.

Caleb's eye twitched some at the thought of living soley to follow another around. I'm nobody's 'sidekick', he muttered, offering a disappointed look to Enapay. If you want me around, that's all you have to say. Maybe your soul and my soul belonged to good friends, and just maybe we're both feeling that tie? he offered, laughing softly as he shook his head. So you know what I want, do you then? he asked, stepping closer in an attempt to intimidate the boy.

Indeed, Enapay nodded. You're lonely and you want someone to talk to and someone who will listen to you. He crossed his arms and looked to the other with a smirk. We all do.

Caleb snickered at the darker boy, and shook his head. Your senses are terribly off, friend. he laughed, tilting his head some as he looked to Enapay. I don't want someone who'll listen, I'll talk to anyone whether they want to hear what I have to say or not.

No, Enapay replied slowly, half in thought. What if you were asking someone a question? You would want them to listen, right?

If said person thought the question was worth answering, they'd listen and answer. Caleb told Enapay, a grin on his pale lips as he eyed the darker boy. He was fun, even if he was a little different.

That makes no sense, he chuckled. If they thought it was worth answering, then they would have been listening from the beginning. And if you don't care if they were or not to begin with, then who's to say they would be listening to your question? Enapay looked down before moving to lean against the tree again.

Caleb shrugged his shoulders and turned away from Enapay again, swinging his arms in a wide circle as he moved. People tune in and out when they hear words that catch their fancy. If my voice caught them, they'd listen to it, don't you think? He shrugged again and started his march in a random direction, having forgotten so quickly which way the other said the road was.

If our souls are tied like it seemed they were before, then it won't be for long. Caleb's voice was flat and without emotion though as he faced away from the other he smiled.

After a not-so-long walk, Loki finally came to the edge of the woods, stopping only to look around. "Ah, now this is my kind of place," he said while rubbing his hands together. "Shall I let you lead us to the waterfall then, sweetheart?"
