Wow...its a real good thing she had decided to not go the stadium. Reaper started to blush. Did he just call me lovely? It looked as if Shin himself hadn't noticed he did that. She bit the corner of her lip on the right side. This was a great oppatunity(sp?) for her one that she shouldn't pass up on.

"I would be honored then to be taken under your wing." Reaper answered. "Umm..just a thought. You wouldn't have to have permission to teach someone would you? Considering the rest don't know me and such."

The last thing she wanted was for Shin to get in trouble over training an outsider. "I have a few high leveled shadow skills myself I just don't use them that much because they require alot of patience and focus."

He noticed her blush. He always had noticed her blush, and that biting of her lip sent pleasent shivers down his spine.

"No, I don't have to have premisson to teach you. I only need premisson to teach you Kyonuske skills."

He looked at her and smiled again.

"So then...What do you wish to learn gorgeous?"

Oh...Shin did notice what he was calling her. It sounded like he was flirting with her and it was working. Reaper didn't even realize that she was biting the corner of her lip everytime he called her something besides her name.

"Well, I defiently want to get my shadow skills up. But also my sword and gauntlet skills." Reaper answered.

That's right he hadn't seen how her gauntlets work. She unbuckled them from her belt so she could show him how they worked. Strapping the metal heavy gauntlets onto her hands. The metal would suddenly extend upwards to cover all the way up to her shoulder. Protruding spikes from the elbows there were angel wings carved into the back of the hands.

She bit her lip again and he smiled. So, she had another weapon besides of that big blade...this was good. He thought about his Shadow skills and choose one.

"You know... I would teach you something, but I might kill someone. So instead, I am going to teach you an offensive and defensive skill that is extremely useful. If you would follow me into the forest we can begin training."

And with that, Shin walked forward torwards her. He was heading to the forest but he had to pass by her on his way. As he came close to her, he stopped and lifted his hand up to her face. He ran it down her face.

"Beautiful..." He murmered and headed off into the forest.

Reaper nodded her head and unlocked the gauntlets making them return to normal and clasped them onto her belt once more. Watching as he headed for the forest making him come near her again. Her heart immediately fluttered and started to race. She could hear it pounding in her ears as he stopped and his hand came up.

Biting the corner of her lips again feeling the palm of his hands follwed by his fingers run smoothly down her face. It sent a strong shiver down and up her spine for several long seconds. Her cheeks immediately flushed a bright red as he finally passed her heading for the forest once more. She gulped and staid still for several seconds to let her nerves calm down before spinning around and follow him deeper into the forest.

Upon reaching a clearing, some ways into the forest, he stopped, turned, and faced Reaper. He lifted both of his hands, palms up. Immediatley, Shadows began to snake their thick tendrils up him. His red eyes seemed to glow as he spoke to her.

"The technique I wish to teach you is known as 'Shadow Drifting'. The art that I created is very difficult. Before I go on you must first train yourself to believe that every object you intereact with in life has an identical realm behind it where a shadow is mimicing you. Once you learn this basic fundamental we can begin training."

He waited and stared at her. He needed to see if She could teach herself this important lesson first.

Reaper stood several yards away from Shin her eye widening a bit as the shadows started to crawl up his body. Watching as those eyes of his begun to glow while he spoke to her. It sounded like a lot of mental work there. Well..it was a good thing she had a lot of patience then. Hopefully Shin had patience too.

Okay...so believe there is a realm behind everything around you that would be mimicing your every movement. Hmm..it sounded much like her very own shadow. It didn't have detail but enough to mimic every movement she did. Taking a slow breath she closed her eye and started to focus on that. Imagining that the visible and invisible realm were coming together around her.

To reveal the hidden forces around her. That everything around her had a shadow behind it that was mimicing her. It was much like her religion just hers involved Mother and Mother's Children. Walking along the threads that linked to the two worlds to let her see both at the same time with her mind force before attempting anything else.

~ Chapter 1: Intrigue! The Mysterious Wanderer Arrives! ~

Tap. Squeak. Tap. Squeak. Tap. Squeak. Tap. Squeak.

Heavy footfalls came down one after the other upon the hard surface of the road which lead through the forest outside of Leviathan. One after the other steps were taken, and with each step there was another push upon the wooden cart with the squeaky wheel that followed behind.

Tap. Squeak. Tap. Squeak. Tap. Squeak. Tap. Squeak.

The cart was like a rikshaw; a flat bed with an axle beneath the center of it, and then a square-shaped handle extending out to the front for it to be pulled with. In the front, bent over and leaning against the bar, was a young man, dark haired, fair skinned, who was pushing the cart forwards, as he had been for some time. His weight was pushed entirely to the front; arms outstretched in front of him and elbows locked, hunched over with his head hanging down between his shoulders, he would have been staring at the ground as it monotonously passed by, if he hadn't had his eyes shut as he continued on with each monotonous step.

Tap. Squeak. Tap. Squeak. Tap. Squeak. Tap. Squeak.

The young man was clad in a worn-looking, thin jacket, a deep purple in color, that hung open over a tight blue shirt without a logo. The sleeves were rolled up to his eblows, and the cuffs were soaked in a ring around his arms with sweat that had run down from his forearms durring the trek. His hands were bound in bandages; wrapped in cloth up to the knuckles and halfway down the forearms, the wraps not entirely clean due to the sweat, dirt, and grime that they had experienced being ground against the cart's handle.

It had been a long journey from Barton, though a few stops had been made along the way. The cart behind him was laden high and heavy with supplies, posessions, and trinkets that he had picked up along the way. More than one guild banner could be seen thrown in nonchalantly with the pile of refuse that seemed to make up the top of the stack...

Crack! "G-HUH!"

The cart struck a rut in the road, and refused to move any further forwards; jerking to a violent halt both the cart and the young man pulling at it. His elbows bent like paper and his chest knocked up against the bar he had been pushing upon all this time when the cart stopped short, which sent him halfway over the bar, and sent the short support legs at the sides of the bar crashing into the ground. The cart didn't completely tip, due to these, but it still tilted up in the back at a sharper angle than it had been before, which sent a pile of junk shifting towards the front.

One item that had been sitting at the top of the pile, a white stuffed kitten, rolled over at the movement and began to bounce its way down the pile, picking up speed as it rolled, until it eventually hit a snag and jumped off of a flagpole that was sticking off to the side; sending the plushie sailing through the air until-

Fop.

-it landed right on top of the young man's head, sprawled out like it was sunbathing.

"...eh...?"

A bead of sweat ran down the young man's forehead, and down the front of his nose until it collected into a small droplet, which dangled there precariously for just a moment, and then fell to the dry surface of the road beneath him. Pushing the cart for so many miles was a mindless task, and in all that time, he had simply stopped paying attention to where he had been going. Another few beads of sweat ran down his face, across his lips, painting them with a salty taste, and down his neck into the collar of his shirt.

"Oh! Hoshit, man!" he suddenly jerked up; his hands slamming back down onto the damp spots of the wood where he had had them clasped all day so far, and throwing his weight back against the bar with a sudden lunge which popped the cart out from the rut the wheel had fallen into and got it back smoothly rolling along the road. His pace picked up, until he was more or less running along with the cart dragging behind him.

Before him stood a camp, at the edge of the forest, beside the road. He didn't even seem to take notice of the tall structure a little further along on the horizon, or the state that it was in... simply that this was the first sign of civilization that he had seen for the entire day so far, and he had a few things in mind for it...

Shin watched her intently. It wasn't really that hard, the first step that is. All you needed to do was believe that every object has a shadow and that you never phsically touch anything, it is only your shadow interacting with the objects shadow.

He waited for her to fully realize that fact and for her to give him the 'okay' sign or speech. Then he could move on to phase two.

After several more of silent moments Reaper opened her eye again. Glancing over at Shin.

"Alright..ready." She answered.

Keeping that train of thought in her mind letting it consume her so that she would not forget it at all.

~ Chapter 1: Part 2 ~

"Oi. Oi. Oi. Oi." the young man mutteed to himself as he hopped along down the road towards the refugee camp outside of the Leviathan's walls, and the reach of the deadzone. The cart that he pulled along behind him hopped and skipped now and again on an uneven part of the road or a stone that lie within it, but all in all ran smoothly for the rest of the distance; until he pulled it off to the side of the road under the shade of one of the last trees before the treeline gave way into open spaces.

He climbed over the front bar that he had been pushing against for so long, letting the cart tilt forwards to rest upon the supports, which dug an inch into the rich forest soil when weight was pressed upon them. The contents of the cart meant very little to him, so he had no real scruples about leaving it alone for a short period of time. Hell, half of what was in there wasn't his, anyway, so there was no point to him being offended if it was lost or stolen.

"Okay!" the young man said as he wiped the back of his hand across his brow, a layer of sweat glistening upon the bandages before it soaked into them.

So, plush cat sitting proudly upon his head, the young man straightened his jacket and marched off through the tall grass towards the encampment...

"...Fine..."

Shin spoke slowly, carefully as the shadows flowed up his body. The next part was tricky, so he figured he would use the easiest way possible for her.

"Now... You must trick your shadow into moving aside and letting you through. Let go of all emotion, give your shadow no notion of what you are about to do. Your shadow knows all you do so let go of all thought and emotion. Sway your body side to side to confuse your Shadow like this..."
Shin began to sway side to side, left and right. He moved his body so fluidly that his image began to blur. His shadow flowed behind him like a cape. It would appear as if the shadow could not keep up with him.

"Do this first off..." He said, voice echoing.

In other words shut your mind completely off to the mimicer. Reaper thought. Clearing her mind of all thoughts and emotions as if one would be sleeping. Or in a coma. Closing her eye once more concentrating on clearing out every single thought in her mind. Till it was utterly blank. Creating a door and key locking all thoughts, memories, and emotion within a single room. Then took the key and locked it shut stuffing the key in a pocket. To fall through it..like you would falling backwards but staying upright. Move your body smoothly and fluidly as if in ectasy while dancing. Taking another nice slow breath in and out she started to sway her body from left to right putting grace and smoothness to it.
PostPosted: Sat Jun 11, 2005 7:30 pm

The red light from his eyes blurred. Now they were both moving fluidly side to side.

"Not...bad..."

Shin's own voice now seemed as if it were straining to catch up. It was slowing down.

"Now, Let it all go and fall through. Push your way past your Shadow and enter the shadow realm."

Hehe...

He wondered how she would fair against this transfer. For the first time, it feels weird and pulls at your soul. Your phsical body and your shadow one "fuse" together in a way so that there is no trace of your exsistance. He smiled evily and fell from exsistance, into the shadow realm.

Reaper had a feeling it was going to a bit more tricky now. Heck..it took her two whole months to learn that simple movements that Shin saw her doing this morning. Considering this was pretty high level shadow skill it was probably going to take her longer. She continued to breath in and out slowly not to lose focus upon her task. Now seeing the visible and invisible worlds blend together into one. Seeing the visible and invisible of herself slowly start to come together. Letting it consume her thought and soul.

Reaper shuddered at first as she felt a sudden tug on her very soul. As if something was reaching through her flesh and bones wrapping around her soul and started to fericouly yank at it. It was a rather unsettling feeling really. Another feeling started to come into play as well. It felt like she was disappearing. Little by little as if being defragmented. Reaper was doing her best to stay focus but it was coming difficult conisdering her instinct was racing urging her to stop and get away from the odd feeling.
