Well, there's the whole rivalries thing with the God-Generals that you have to consider. It goes like this.
Luke->Asch
Tear->Legretta
Anise->Arietta
Natalia->Largo
Jade->Dist
and that just leaves Guy and Sync. Plus, Guy was the only one who says Sync's face before the Tartarus Core thingy...

Oh, and as for the GuyxSync thing...
Dano Tao, you just made me a fan of that pairing. *loves the picture* xD I never thought of it that way, so when I do... *squee!* Yummiliciuos. <3
And I've recently became a huge JadexDist fan too. I never really liked it before, but when I thought about that one scene where Dist is at the Kettleburg hotel, and Jade asks everyone else to leave the room... Well, you know, the imagination goes wild. xD
But, GuyxLuke will forever be my OTP. <3 *Currently doing a OnexOne roleplay with them aswell*

I won't kill you. I like the couple, but I have nothing against those who don't.
Hmmm... I'll see if I can find a few. I found a lot of AschxNatalia regularly though. ^^;
AriettaxSync, AnisexIon, LukexTear, and AschxNatalia are really popular among the Japanese fanart sites that I saw. ^^;
Ion, Sync, and Florian appear a lot too...

I know! I love the Japanese fanart sites. <3 I was looking through an AschxNatalia-centered one a few days ago, looking for a Illustration of when they were younger... and I remember seeing one where Young!Asch was handing Young!Natalia a yellow daisy in a field of flowers. <3 It was so cute.
And yeah, I absolutely love the Ion-centric sites. Within the fans, they're called the "Midorikko," literally meaning "Green kids." xD!
