Magni Prime I am now the proud owner of a War for Cybertron version of both Megatron and Soundwave. Megs is interesting . . . I have a bit of issue with his foot panels, and of course his arm cannon does not attach to any part of him during the shift. That is a bit of a disappointment. Still, the modes are solid. The tank treads in altmode are disappointing as well. Still, a decent figure. Soundwave is near-perfect. He has elements of the classic, and yet plenty of nods to the game. With the exception of a little kibble, he is great in bot mode. His transformation is simple and nice, and he even keeps weapon storage. Overall, another good figure. Both he and megs have largeish feet, so posing is not a problem. Good to know. I just recently got both, but I haven't had the time to open and play around with either of them yet.

WFC SoundWave is as awesome as Magni Prime said, my Favorite part is when you store his guns in his chest they look like batteries a nice little nod to his gen 1 days. Darkmounut is a vary sweet toy indeed, the feet are a little weak but all the weapons and the that fact you can his little guns in multiple place and 3 modes make him a total win. Power Core Dinobots is by far my favorite PC combiner so far there all so cute and you dont put the blue tab up any of there butts

Holy crap, Sunspot is a TINY GOD. If you were on the fence between Skystalker and Sunspot , get Sunspot. The off-white and orange-yellow go satisfyingly well together, and the robot mode has just a taste of a deep maroon in the torso that makes it pop.
As a robot, the mold is a perfect Renfield to Mindwipe's Dracula, a slightly creepy little guy with a ton of character. He captures the movie Decepticon aesthetic and makes it shine. His forearms are shaped to accept clip-on weapons including his own weird meathooks, which is a giant bonus to anyone who's got a lot of those around.
As a remote drone aircraft, he is fantastic. He achieves what few aircraft figures rarely do, he has almost ZERO underwing kibble. If you look him straight on, his wings look believably aerodynamic. And he's wide, too, his wingspan's almost six inches.
And yeah, he's got an official "gerwalk" mode, which doesn't even feel tacked on. His whole transformation feels smooth and organic, and you feel like he could still be dangerous at any point in it.
It doesn't even matter if you have Mindwipe to piggyback him on, Sunspot is fantastic on his own. The paint apps bring an already great mold to GOD TIER. Get him now, I found mine at a Walmart in Cleveland.

I just got him next to Mindwipe, and the colors might not quite work as well as Skystalker's for piggybacking, but side by side they're great, and the fan-mode combinations I've tried don't clash badly at all. And Sunspot's Decepticon symbol has the same "wings" that Mindwipe and Skystalker's does. One note, I've heard some complaints that his legs have to be posed as reverse-joint, but if this isn't your thing then don't be afraid to push his ankle a little bit farther. Without too much more pressure his foot will go perpendicular, and he can stand up straight.

If you never find Mindwipe hopefully you'll find Strafe becuase I do love that mold. I wouldn't buy it twice but only because I'm currently unemployed and I have to watch what I buy. I would have bough Banzitron if I had a job, cause I like Blugeon's mold and I think it's cool that they're making new toys/homages to the Action Masters.
With my budget I have been getting a lot of the smaller guys and thanks to Short Packed I found Tracks and Jazz. Jazz's arms are a bit loose and I think is face should have his smile rather than such a serious expresion, but he's a real nice toy. Tracks is awsome too, he's a fantastic upgrade to the original toy, and I hope the other use for his mold gets released stateside. I really want Wheel Jack.

Strafe doz look like a nice recolor i may have to a bash Sunspot if i find him.
terradive is a amazing transformers, both modes and his transformation are just tops. his robot mode has this prissy air about it wich i find amusing. the only down side to it is when transforming it i feel like i might brake it.
im loving the weapons that are coming with many of newer bots, for years all we got were crapy clear one then built on or in weapons it nice to have some that could be handed off to someone else,

Despite my desire to get Skullgrin, I own Darkmount. The area I live in means I may never see Skullgrin . . . so the blue it is! Overall, he is a good figure. I'm not sold on him being God Tier, but overall not bad. The transformation was a bit more involved than I thought it would be, but the 'third mode' is similar to G1 Scattorshot from the Technobots in that such is a mistransformation . . . or a pause in the transformation sequence to give him a cannon mode. I neither figured it out correctly, nor wished to. In bot mode, he shines. I mean, he has a giant pickaxe!!! How can you not adore such a unique weapon for the genre?! Overall a good buy, though I skip the clip on weapons, they just feel tacked-on to me.
Tonight however, I spent some of the best $9 I have done in a LONG time. Tomahawk came into my posession. From the "Hunt for the Decepticons" line, his altmode of an attack helicopter was a bit akward at first glance. Still, he was rare to me, and thus picked up. Gods . . . what a toy! Black and gunmetal gray dominate him in both modes, and I had little complaint about his alt. At first I feared the kibble underneath from his legs- then I saw how they literally folded in upon themselves, and I wasn't so critical. Honestly, the amount of him that remains static through transformation is stunningly little. He even has a very close to natural gerwalk mode. As his arms fold down, the bulk of his weight then comes over his legs, making him balance well when mistransformed into a halfway point. Take that DARKMOUNT! xd
One practice I like to do while playing with them is to see how they may change if left to stand still on the ground. Could it work? With the possible exception of the feet (which scissor out), hells yes. In bot mode, his canopy centers on his chest not unlike a seeker, and the only weak point would be his rotor blades. Four collapse on top one another to become two, and such is not the best option, but is workable. The high points for me are his head and arms.
The face has a visor of yellow, which would have worked fine . . . yet there is light piping behind the visor of blue eyes. So, depending on how the lighting is, he may be a different look! Bravo! For his arms, his hands come out as you fold back panels of the altmode tail. Not a big issue to me, but his right hand has a gimmick of a pinching claw. What this did for me, was to give him the option of a giant sword-ish claw weapon for his right hand not unlike the habit of having pop out blades since Bayformers. In most such is alright- here, it works. Well.
Overall, get Darkmount, he is decent. I demand you give Tomahawk a go . . . even for a bot, his colors are dark and could pass off for a loveletter to Airwolf.

Christmas haul.
Brimstone is flipping sweet little motorcycle that turns in to a leering gangly creep. Get him.
Also, Leader class Movie Starscream is PIMP. The extra arm articulation really makes the difference between the "cheese wedge" of previous versions, and a nightmare machine with Slenderman's reach. The pop-out forearm weapons are effing sweet. The hand and finger articulation are great for expressive poses. The voice is simpering, smarmy, and Starscreamy. The button that triggers the classic transformation sound is placed nicely accessible in robot mode, a great touch.
Transformation is NICE. He's satisfyingly complex, with tons of little shifting details, but once you figure out how to get started and overcome a few moments of wondering if certain solidly clipped parts are supposed to separate, he goes intuitively into an awesome jet mode.
I'm of two minds on his weapon. On the one hand, the little missile-launcher/hand-extension is awkward, kind of silly, stows rather loosely under the jet mode, and is probably modeled after something that had all of three seconds of blurry screen time, but now that I've folded back his hand and plugged it in, it doesn't look too bad. Your Mileage May Vary, but even if you hate it you can easily ignore it, it's not necessary for anything.
All in all, even if you don't like him as a Starscream, get him because he is a monster murderbot from outer space who hungers for the flesh of your children.

I obtained a few toys for Christmas . . . but by far the two greatest are Terradive and Highbrow.
Terradive is a truly intimidating jet, with six wings no less! His transformation had a few surprises for me, and of course the selling point was his weapon. A collapsing spear . . . that becomes a trident. A freaking TRIDENT! Oh, how I love the unique melee weapons, and that we have evolved beyond "eh, use a missile as a club." I do have a complaint on him in that his robot mode is literally hollow, meaning I can see through him at the side . . . a singluar fault on a decent jet.
Highbrow . . . has no complaints. In fact, he is truly awesome! He has a WWI style alt mode, giving him that aged look. A twin engine plane that makes me think of a time long before computers and the idea that dogfights would be truly terrifying to newbs. His gimmick of spinning propellers is decent in alt mode, but they have another purpose. In bot mode, those engines are his forearms, and the propellers act as secondary melee weapons- again with the unique and grand. The gatling guns from his altmode can be held as weapons, or left in place to become hip-guns. Either way, not bad. The articulation of his arms is a little wonky due to the engine gimmick, but forgivable for personal flair. The one thing that made me giggle was his head. He has plain white lightpiping, and an appropriate-looking helm on. Replete with goggles, I thought nothing of it till I realized it could come down . . . like old pilots would have done! When down, his eyes narrow, and he just looks wonderful. I can't play with him enough- I love me some Highbrow!
Oh, and I concur about Brimstone. I have him, and love that his wheels are incorporated into his form, rather than the notorious kibble motorcycle bots deal with. Only jets have it worse in dealing with panels or kibble. Brimstone handles it with flair and intimidation. 3nodding

So i found Thunderwing the other day i was kinda hopeing for the IDW Thunderwing, but Gen1 is good to. The whole toy has that old school fell, bad coloring, overly simple transformation(the arms dont change at all in both forms). Over all its fun ninja like toy.

Oh man, Skullgrin is COMPLETE WIN. I don't know who got on this kick of turning out Transformers that can hold melee weapons in two hands, but it needs to NEVER STOP EVER. And articulated hands on a deluxe? AND a pile of the new clip weapons with plenty of places to put them?
With his goat skull head sculpt and his wicked battle pickaxe, Skullgrin is pure METAL. Buy him now. Stop reading, go out, and buy him.
And if you're so inclined while you're there, grab Hailstorm, he and Skullgrin can hang out and RUIN STUFF.
