I know all that, its sort of like with Solstice and Set... >>She opened her eyes and watched as he stood, blinking slightly. Her eye brows shot up as the blanket suddenly appeared around her shoulders...before the female settled into the cloth with a charinged smile for the owl<< And I mean, I know that there will always be favoritism. Like how I like Solstice more then Aki because she took me in when I was literly sleeping inside a tree. She really is a very kind female. She must have been a very sweet girl before whatever happened to her came about. >>She leaned her head against the cushion again but didn't close her eyes, instead staring up at the ceiling. Waaarrrmmm<< But I also could never date Solstice. Ever. Even if she'd take me. Everyone can be hypocritical and everyone can play favorites. But that being your personality, and actively doing it, are two very different things.

(( @__@ Anon demanded -DEMANDED!- that I type hers up first! Man I'm impatient!))

>>Maryline stood by the mixing bowls, using two fingers and spoon to put the dough onto a cookie sheet for baking. Her hair was done up ontop of her head in its intricate bun, a white apron clinching her slender waist ontop of her blue dress -the sleeves of course pushed up to her elbows- and a bit of flour dotting her face from pouring it in too quickly. She flashed a small, warm smile over her shoulder<< Ah, a Lady must never eat with her hands unless for the few exceptions. >>There! She delicately opened the oven and popped the two sheets in before closing it again. The female began to examine the large thing very carefully. She turned on the oven timer so 0:00 flashed<< how long do you suppose they should cook for?

((*giggles* when Zell was all 'nur' Percy became impatient & I had to type his response first... so I just typed Zell's on top again when I could finally make some sense of him. wink ))

Hazel-blue eyes crinkled with Zell's huge grin. "Well then... Can't have ya be anything less than a Lady..." Hands going carefully to her waist where the apron protected her, Zell leaned in without otherwise touching their bodies and kissed her cheek where one of the flour spots were. So cute!

Oh right! Time. Setting his chin thoughtfully on her shoulder Zell recalled what he had read. "Directions said 9-11 minutes so lets set it for nine, then check. 'kay?"

Percy shrugged. "I don't think I could either. But it takes all types, I suppose. Other than when there's something I'm needed for where it comes to security either here or at home I really don't have much contact with Seifer." Any of them. But Percy kept that to himself. It was confusing enough for those that lived with multiples. of one person as different species. "Especially with Rune & him expecting."

OOC:
Anon: And let 'line be on top? Her own fault she's bein stubborn-

You're just impatient! >.<

BIC: >>The entire thing reminded her of the suggestion about her eating bits of cookie with chopsticks. Oh how Emperor Suzuki would redden at that notion. She barely repressed a chuckle, barely, just before she felt his hands on her waist. Here she did chuckle right before pressing the little arrow up nine times. She turned in his grip, hands overlapping his own. And though not talked about, for most understood at least to an extent about the situation surrounding their live in guest and her erstwhile kingdom, everyone knew how the butterfly princess stayed for much more then protection. If not by the extra something in her smile for him, then by how she now almost glew around the fistfighter<< Nine minutes on the clock then. Care to help me with the caramel? >>She wondered if he knew...<<

Bleh, security. When I lived in the country, my mom didn't even lock the door when we went out....Expecting....Oh yeah! >>Her head straightened to look at him, dark green eyes bright<< They're due soon right? Its been a while since...well, the thing with 'line... >>Gods...now that had been a scare...<<

Blink. Blink. "Caramel? Um... sure. What caramel?" Either he had been derailed or completely missed the memo. Which cookies had caramel in them?

"Well... technically we don't lock up either. But then we don't need too because of the shields." Which actually meant they did not need to here but why get out of a good habit? Only fear of being rude kept Percy from turning away from those over-bright eyes, though he could not say why he wanted to in the first place. "Yes. Sometime this month. I think my brothers are taking bet on who will birth first: Rune or Liliana."

Yes... that whole thing with Princess Maryline. And a month later... the Envy Kitsu's attack on Liliana which nearly lost both mother & the unborn eggs inside her. The Christmas Holiday season had certainly been one of wonders & terrible scares. None of which Percy would be the one to bring up or avidly continue speaking of unless forcibly nudged.

>>Well...of course he wouldn't know about that aspect...<< The caramel for the cookies. An old family tradition, passed down for six generations ever since my great grandfather first presented my great grandmother with a piece of arab caramel, carried from Spain, as a courting gift now exactly...800...and...6...2 years ago today. >>Her fingers slipped under his to gently pull out so she could smoothly step away<< She melted it down and discovered the sweet taste, and thusly drizzled it over a piece of dark chocolate to counterbalance the bitter. And so every treat made upon today shall recieve a dose of liquid caramel.

I personally bet Liliana, because people tend to have the longest pregnancy you know? And really, I'd like to have 'Line back over here someday! >>The kettle whistled, and with a sigh she moved her eyes from his to stand<< be right back... You're okay with mini marshmellows right? >>The female moved towards the kitchen again<<

Zell blinked a little, taking in the story and then smiled. "Dude... that's totally cool." His grin was just gi-normous. He kept looking back at her as he turned around and reached up into a cabinet over the stove for a simple saucepan. "Our chips are dark chocolate too." There was seldom any other chocolate in the house, Trel practically making converts of all but the dragon-medusa, Nimlaurie, who preferred white most of the time. "Any other old courtship anniversary things I should know about that we can honor & stuff?"

What did who had their young first have to do with Maryline coming back here.

A light shrug, barely rustling his robes. "Sure."

"If it's not impertinent of me to ask, and please tell me to bugger off if you'd rather not say, but how is it a girl like you isn't married?" Married... Anon would have someone making sure she did not go outside in the cold without proper clothing, or at least something like that.

Perfect. >>The female started looking in cabinets herself...but naturally, at random<< And none come immediatly to mind...well, except for one...The most worn out and overused guesture. The courting male simply creates a sonnet for his lady, starting on the sunrise of her birth day and reading upon completion to her at sunset. >>She closed a cabinet as she repressed a sigh, glancing over at the fist fighter<< ...Also...where would the caramel be kept?

>>Cause the fistfighter would always want to babysit. She disappeared into the kitchen, taking his silence as a yes. She turned off the stove...and promptly winced<< Jeeze, you know, Hemi asked me the same exact thing. None of my friends ever seem to get why I don't have a man. And ya know...one to date is sorta needed before I go off and get married. >>The fallen angel delicately picked up the kettle and began to pour the steaming water into the two mugs<< Long story short...no guy deserves a gal like me. Maybe an ex convict who did time for homiscide, but I'm not exactly one for those who have a serious jail record.
PostPosted: Mon Jan 28, 2008 10:00 pm

"Wha? A sonnet that lasts all day?" Oh yeah... Zell totally missed the boat on that one.

"Where would the caram..." The SeeD grinned, quite sheepishly. "Dunno. Probably in the cabinet we got the chocolate chips and nuts from. If there's any. May be... I'm pretty sure someone made caramel apples for Halloween. Doubt it was all used."

In fact, in that cabinet there was a 3/4 full bag of individually wrapped caramels. "But don't sweat it if there's none... we can just ask Myr for some!"

Percy winced. "Said you didn't have to answer..." He muttered to himself, trying to think of what he could say to that. "Well if Hemi asked and you said the same to him I'm sure you won't be surprised to hear that's hard to believe. Not that someone wouldn't deserve you, but for the clarifications."

The wizard coughed nervously into his hand then adjusted his glasses. "As for one to date I did not figure that was much of a problem for a vivacious & charming girl like you."

Not flirting. Completely honest.

>>the princess blinked at him. Totally and utterly<< Not...quite. You simply start at sunrise, and only have until sunset to finish it. It is a show of wit and time management.... >>She promptly stepped one foot to the right and opened the cabinet. Sure enough, there it was. Only the woman was so short, she had to stand on her tip toes to get it<< This...is different then what I recall... >>She whispered to herself at the individually wrappet candy<<

Didn't answer Hemi. You see at the time, Aki was there too. And while I'll see Aki at least once every day for who knows how long, I figure I'm never going to see you again. >>There, simple, clean Anon logic. She set the pot down and picked up a spoon to stir both cups of hot chocolate. A light chuckle floated from her<< Vivacious and charming? We're still talking about me right? Probably closer to hyper and ditzy. >>She picked up the mugs and walked back into the family room, shaking her head slightly<< But to be fair, I also haven't stayed in a spot for more then a week for the past five years, which also makes dating a little bit harder then norm.
PostPosted: Tue Jan 29, 2008 10:21 pm

"To write?" He blinked, looking thoughtful. Wit & time management, huh? When was Maryline's birthday anyway? Had he even asked? Zell didn't think so. He knew he'd never told her his... birthdays just hadn't come up before now. The whole train of thought over poetry & wondering when Maryline's birthday was and if he should try such a thing considering writing and poetry were not exactly his strong suits had him adorably contemplative. Which was then completely destroyed when he giggled to see Maryline have to go on tiptoe to get the caramels out. Zell missed her comment but not so the position of her body that hinted at befundlement and so trotted over to her side. "Here. Lemmie help you unwrap those."

((trying to figure out good place to bring Seifer & Rune in. Could do so anytime but I'm liking the simple sweetness of this alone time with cookies. ^_^))

With the slightest frown Percy nodded at the odd soundness of her logic. Certainly it was often easier to confess such things to a stranger. Why else would muggles see those 'cytrists' or what ever they were called when they needed to work through their problems?

He gave a small laugh -almost like a huff really though with soft amusement to it. "I suppose that is a matter of opinion, isn't it? A matter o perspective." After all, the Princess found their hyper-spazz moomba endearing or adorable, and then there was Rune with Seifer.

"Moving around certainly would be a wet blanket over your social life." Pause. "I was under the impression you have lived here since before Zell met Princess Maryline. That is much longer than a week."

>>She nodded, eyes looking up determindly as she slowly edged the bowl of caramels towards her with a middle finger<< However...one could...never trust if a noble...really wrote it. >>She reached up with her other hand, fingers gripping the bowl. Maryline pulled it back from the cabinet, and rocked back onto her heels to stumble a step back into Zells shoulder. Slowly she looked up at him, softly laughing herself as she held up the sweets<< Caramel?

(( 3nodding 'swhy I wanted them to have it XD the rp I mean. Its nice to have something like this inbetween the heavy plot lines. And after she hear's Runes news she'll be all like... biggrin ... biggrin ... biggrin ... >>break<<))

Perspective? What, the hyper-ditz or the not seeing you? >>She chuckled slightly before her smile instantly grew. The brightest one all day, she smiled at the owl in a sort of sweet happiness<< I have. I invited the princess to live here with us. Or...well...she invited herself. I said the past five years...I never said any thing about the present. >>Her smile softened, and she handed the other his cup of coca before sitting down indian-style<< I was literly living in a tree ya know, when I first got here. Or more specificly, the tree trunk. It was a big hallowed out space which my wings could jjjuusstt fit in. I wasn't looking for cozy, only planning to stock up on supplies from town and then head back out after a quick rest. Solstice found me one day trying to get out of my 'house'. I was...um...sorta stuck. Next thing I knew, we were making a bet on who could tolerate who longer, and we still keep goin. >>Slowly the female lifted the mug to her lips, but didn't yet take a sip. No, she just closed her eyes and took a deep breath in<< I like it here...I don't want to leave. >>Now she took a mouthful, smoothly swallowing then to look at him. Her smile turned into a grin<< M'kay, now your turn. Whats your story?

(( ;.; >>dabs at eyes<< Anon's life always makes me so sad T__T anon! >>huggles fallen angel<<

Anon: =.= get off of me....please?

Yeah... that could be a problem. Zell laughed warmly as he caught his love in his arms, eyes crinkling slightly & twinkling too. Arms moved lightly around her.

"Naw... I'll wait. I've a taste for something sweeter." The slightest waggle of his eyebrows, the hint of a wink and his other hand touched a finger to her chin to tilt Maryline's face to his a tiny bit more so he could sweetly claim her lips. His hands then went to hers, working with hers for the moment to start unwrapping the caramels and drop them into the waiting bowl.

Baking cookies had never been so sweet.

"The former." He refused to call her a hyper-ditz without any merit -although the ting with being barefoot in the winter certainly was close. It was logically sound that they would likely not see each other again. Today had been a fluke. But he could not keep even a light frown on at the fallen angel's bright smile, permitting himself a bit of curve to his mouth at the warmth & sweetness of it. Percy murmured a soft "thank you" as he accepted the mug and held it in his hands. Just enough to remain courteous and polite without interrupting Anon as she continued speaking. That did not make it any less thankful, he merely did not want to be rude elaborating upon the kindness.

Wait... She had been living in the hallow of a tree? Stunned, Percy could not even make a comment on such an absurd bet. Here he had always thought living in The Burrows cramped. The notion of actually living somewhere one's body could only barely fit inside... well it was a new one entirely.

Now what was she grinning about. Percy blew and sipped carefully at his beverage to rewind the conversation a bit. Right. Question. He felt anxious, nervous. As if he was about to take his NEWTS all over again. "It's a bit... complicated. My siblings and I weren't born here. In Gaia. The world we remember is slightly different. Wizards don't integrate with muggles -non wizarding folks- there. At least not on the whole. For the most part, muggles don't know we exist. Here it's different. Here Dji says she created new bodies for us & somehow brought us here. With animal parts a supposed 'bonus'..." The wizard sighed, both hands around his mug and watching the steam drift lazily from it as if perhaps the rising vapor had some unknown answers for him. "Bill & George's injuries are gone... and Fred isn't dead... which is good but... There's a few things that are difficult to assimilate. Not knowing anything about how things are with everyone & everything we've ever known and whether we're really 'us' or some facsimile. If we're really us... what about those from what the others call our 'before'? How are they dealing with our absence?" Mum & Dad... Bill's new wife Fleur... Remus & Tonk's little Teddy...

Percy did not elaborate on possibilities if they were only fabrications of some sort. He felt like he always did. Well... aside from the added owl features and accompanying traits.

>>She immediatly blushed as she felt his arms around her, months of daily Zell letting her see each little hint, every little quirk to him. She let her head slightly tilt up to warmly kiss him back, still blushing at the half-thought of someone walking in. Her hand caught the same caramel as his to twist off the other end and she subtly pulled back to lightly nuzzle her nose to his cheek<< You are going to give a cavity one day. >>Maryline whispered with a smile right before she dropped the caramel into the bowl. One at a time, not moving from her spot against the fistfighter. He was such a terrible influence<<

>>Well, Anon was an entirely new notion in herself. 'Hyper ditz' didn't cover a third of what she was. The female listened intently, sipping at her hot coco as she quietly thought. The smile she wore faded along the way, slowly being replaced with a light frown at the end. Her mind worked an entirely different way then most<< That...must be hard. >>She wiggled back under the blanket, dark green eyes peering into her beverage as if asking a wishing well to answer an unspoken question<< I mean, I always thought I had it sort of rough. What with not having any friends, or sometimes being forced to sleep in a tree. But at least my planet never changed on me. Mmm... >>Again her head thunked onto the back of the couch, eyes up on the so intriging white ceiling that she had seen a million times before<< If I were you...I wouldn't worry about it. I mean...its good to worry, and you can't help but worry if there is even the slightest bit that you logically could do. But there's not really anything you can do. You see, I have this theory with time that there are infinate little sections or windows peering into each and every persons current moment. Right now we're in one frame, while there is an exact copy, our 'other selves' in the same exact realm, same exact moment, one second in the future and one second in our past and like this it just continues on and on forwards until we die and all the way back until we were born. I think that realms or other worlds, other versions of us are sort of connected like this, in great long lines side by side with each of our other selves and time. And so in some instances, when the circumstances are just right, a temporary bridge is linked, and you sort of 'hop' through this sort of expanse into the window right next to yours. So until Dji or another 'just right circumstance' comes along and brings you back to your origional place, you're stuck here. >>Her head rolled to the side to look at him, blinking away the change from the pure white ceiling<< So basically...um...while you're here, you are really you. Its not like you are someone else. And if this is just a dream, whether your own or a childs dream in another universe, at least we can both say that we at least did something, neh? >>And here, the fallen angel laughed, soft and ironic as she sat up<< Sorry, I know it must not make a lot of sense to you. My sister used to have to translate my ramblings all the time. It was creepy how connected we were.

It had been what seemed like months since she last laid eyes on someone else. It had only been a few weeks though. But still it bothered the angelic feline because she had seemed to break all social connections and friendships she had with anyone. And it was depressing. It didn't really matter much, since she was already sad..

But pain loomed in her heart. An invisble cord wrapped around her happiness... Her friendliness... Anything positive about her and tightened it so hard she felt like she was suffocating on this invisble force... This wall that seperated her from others. She closed her blue eyes and let her numb fingers run down an old tree. Her thin, slender fingers formed itself around the bark and broke it off before throwing it back onto the ground.

"Anyone...?" she whispered hoarsely. Barely a sound came out.

She slid onto her knees and and rubbed them. Glancing at her hands, she saw how they covered her gloves, once again making them filthy. It wasn't like they weren't already. She let her frown grow and her tail curled around her stomach. Her top priority: Stay alive. Find food, stay warm... It was diffucult in this bitter cold winter, but maybe she could handle it.

>>Bundled up against the harsh weather, Kisten shuffled down the old path towards the shop. Well. He concidered a knit cap and a long sleeved shirt bundled up. His siamese side begged to differ. He shivered and moved into a jog, willingly allowing the switch so he could at least stay somewhat warm. Hey...was that a...blue dot? He cracked his neck and moved his hands out of his pockets to smoothly go into a run. Blue dot, blue dot, blue dot, oh how he loved not being colorblind!<<
