Cagalli Yura Attha Eh, run ideas by me if you want. I'll try to help. Alot of the people here know the history of 40k. I know plenty about the history, but you seem to have an anally-retentive attention to detail. (Please by know means assume I am a Warhammer n00b) I don't want players disputing any rules or characteristics I use when creating my army, anyway, I shall PM you my initial draft of some fluff I wrote. I'll be back in about half an hour also. Thankyou, by the way.

Cagalli Yura Attha Seraphine-Exalted I kinda dislike the new tactical squad box... its okay and everything, but the 2 special weapons are the ones i would never take... (flamer is to short ranged for me, so i only end up using it once or twice per battle, and the missle launcher is heavy, and my space marines are mostly CC, or atleast moving) Those are the weapons they've ALWAYS had. doesnt change the fact i dont like them

Though I bet they only include one of each. Not hvy weapons mind you only the special. Also more pureity seals and shoulder options possibley apothecary bodies as well. The box is supposed to help fill out the traits a tad bit...

Quote from games workshop employee: "All new marine kits will come with all, or nearly all of the weapon and wargear options open to them in the codex." It will carry a flamer, missile launcher, meltagun and plasmagun, that much we can be sure of because those parts were also in the command sprue...

Tehn again, SM tactical squads can have alot of different heavy weapons too, like lascannons.

so basically each new marine kit will include enough parts to make ONE complete marine. and others that are not fully WYSIWYG.
blaugh sounds like something GW would do.
the bad part about this all is bitz ordering will be no more. you will have to buy a whole UNIT of something if you need more that the supplied number of melta/plasma guns/pistol, etc. sweatdrop
i wonder if that includes things such as devastators type squads ie Space Wolves Long Fangs. (ie enough to make a unit of krak launchers)
and will they start including handheld CCW's to all marine squads, or is they will remain only in assualt squads?

Cagalli Yura Attha That's where the most option comes in. The new devs will hold the lascannon. That's also where bitz ordering comes into play. Although I hope each heavy weapon comes on its own sprue, I'd hate to have to buy four dev squad boxes to get four plastic lascannons.

I just hope they can let you order the beaked helmets seperately from the sprues soon, i'm not going to pay 5 bucks a head to get them...

I'm going to [eventually] pry out all the basic heads of my space marines and replace them with the beaked ones.

I like Beakies for my Chosen squads (and that's the only head I use for my power armor Chosen). When painted correctly, it looks really neat.
