 Nix Gallen On her way out of the residential area and towards the Samegawa, Nix ran into another Megrez Bud. This one didn't catch her off guard so she began to battle it. Eiji "Gin" Mishima  "Guard!" Gin raised his tonfa in front of him, blocking the blast as best he could as the Tarrasque sent him flying backwards. It was a much tougher demon than he anticipated, but nothing outside of his strength range, he knew that much. His Beelzebub launched itself forward as soon as he took the hit, the opening providing a wonderful chance for his demon to blow the demon away. The battle was winding down, but there were several pockmarks in the earth around the river showing just how fierce the fighting had been. It didn't matter now, but...every mark was that much more they'd have to repair when this apocalypse was over and done with. And defeating this demon was the first thing that had to be done. Nix Gallen Nix made it to the Samegawa but was soon faced with a terrifying demon. During the struggle she brought a new demon to her side to defeat it. Eiji "Gin" Mishima "There's a safe route through the Samegawa Riverbank. It seems like whatever protected it back on the first day helped to keep it from a lot of the damage the rest of the city's receiving." Gin's report didn't seem to be a big deal to Makoto, but she smiled and nodded as he offered up the information he'd uncovered while he was completing his most recent task. The riverbank would have been secured no matter what, but his willingness to handle the task meant that someone else didn't have to put themselves in danger. Both he, and Sako respected that more than the actual trouble of the mission that he'd been put through.
"Yes. And taking out that Terrasque will help us to secure the area for a while longer without having to dedicate further agents to the area. Thank you, Mishima. And, make sure you get plenty of rest." For some reason, Gin felt himself shaking as he tried to hold back a small laugh, before eventually letting it out regardless. It seemed to catch Sako offguard, but he waved a hand to show that she didn't need to worry, and sighed. "Don't worry, it's nothing. Just...you take care of yourself as well, Sako. You're always working yourself too hard, worrying about others and not thinking about the risks you're taking on yourself." At that Sako smiled again, recognizing the true reason he'd laughed. Eiji "Gin" Mishima "Megrez Bud incoming! Everyone get down!" The base was under attack from Buds, and the rest of the members of his team were already headed towards the exits, lead by Magical Bread Girl-Chan, while Gin tried to hold off the Buds and prevent a large scale earthquake. These cramped quarters weren't the best place to fight something like this, and since there were more than a few he'd have to find himself fleeing, once again, in just a few moments. "Head for the other exit! I'll hold it here until everyone is evacuated safely. Listen to Sako's orders, or whoever you encounter once you get outside." Gin motioned for everyone to run while he summoned Alice, the only demon small enough to effectively fight in the cramped quarters, and began this tango again. Megrez had to be eliminated...or else! Eiji "Gin" Mishima "More Buds incoming!" Just as soon as Gin made it to the outside, he saw that the fighting had carried on even into their escape route. The JPs teams were being swarmed by demons, and another Bud was nearing them, which meant that he'd have to step in before things got out of hand. Luckily with the extra space he could summon his other demons, and with a flash of light Lucifer appeared on the field, a hand waving as almighty power began driving back the demons that blocked their path. "There's no time, just escape for now! The monster will only use it's powers if it thinks it can catch us in the blast, so a temporary retreat will preserve the area as well as our lives!" The soldiers nodded in response, and quickly made for the clean get away that Gin had provided. There was no telling how far they'd have to run, but anywhere was better than the thick of the fighting, and Gin would cover their escape in the meantime. Eiji "Gin" Mishima "You walked right into it!" The Buds were pursuing the crew still, but this one had gotten separated from the one that attacked the base. As soon as he felt they were a safe enough distance away, Gin turned around and Lucifer raised it's hand in a calm manner, power welling up inside. Just as the Bud crested the hill, the almighty power began to rain down on the creature, and the earthquake spewing beast was annihilated in a wave of energy the likes of which very few demons could match. "Ha ha! Got it. Someone call Sako and let her know that I've taken out the Bud that was harassing the base. We can turn around and clean up the inside as soon as everyone's recovered." The JPs agents fell to their knees almost as soon as they heard Gin speak, exhaustion gripping them strong enough to knock their will to stand right out from under their feet. The fact that the Buds were defeatable wasn't something knew, but each time they got ambushed like that it got tense, and with less talented personnel a casualty was all but guaranteed. They were thankful for having Gin around...even if he wasn't the type to see eye to eye with the Chief in the long run. Quote: Gin destroys a Bud. Current Demons: Lucifer

Nix Gallen Nix narrowly avoided death once again but Megrez still had those buds hot on her heels. Her demon was able to fend it off but it was far from dead. Eiji "Gin" Mishima "I just finished mopping up the demons near the base. Looks like things weren't quite as bad as we thought, huh..." Gin kicked a piece of rubble off of a JPs badge laying on the ground, and quickly knelt to scoop up the piece of cloth as he examined the emblem. They could have suffered serious casualties, but they managed to escape with only the few scrapes that they did have. It was a fortunate encounter, but at the same time one of the Buds had escaped after the attack, and that meant that it was going to be harassing them further. Sako was reported to have led it away, and would be dealing with it...but Gin wasn't sure he wanted to let others bear the burden for the time being. "Clean up any rubble blocking essential rooms or hallways. We don't need it to look pretty, just functional." The day was running long, but...well, if a new Septentriones came each day, it would be better if this day did keep going. To avoid fighting two at once, at the very least. Nix Gallen This was exhausting. Nix had to outrun Megrez twice and she still got sent on a difficult job. Subduing demons after such a long day was starting to really wear her down.. Eiji "Gin" Mishima "Nix! Niiiix!" With the areas closest to HQ cleaned up for now, Sako had Gin looking for any stragglers on the outside fringes of the town who might want to come closer to the JPs protected areas. The first place he instinctively headed towards was the Residential District, but despite his attempts there were no people to be found. That's when he noticed he was near the Gallen residence, and decided to give it a try. "I guess she must have already found somewhere safe to relax. If not, then..." Gin shook his head. He knew what the alternative was, but he also knew that there was no chance that had happened. Nix was tough enough to survive a little disaster like this, and even if he didn't find her, she'd manage on her own. He just had to have faith in her, and hope she didn't take all the big prey before he got to them...Megrez was going down. Quote: Gin looks for other survivors on JPs orders. Current Demons: Lucifer

Eiji "Gin" Mishima "Nix...! You're alive after all." Gin felt like it was an illusion at first when Nix came running down the road. He'd seen a lot of unlikely, unbelievable things happen recently, but to finally be reunited with someone he knew (other than Faust, the Bud-whisperer), was such a breath of fresh air that he naturally had to run a hand over his eyes a few times to make sure. "Thank goodness. I've been fighting these Buds all day, looking for anyone who I knew. First I heard potentially bad news about Touma, and now..." Gin took a deep breath and shook his head, reminding himself not to get all sappy, and to avoid souring the mood. "I'm glad you're safe, Nix." It was enough for now. Quote: Gin's like, 'Sup?' So you guys work hard, while I live it up, got it?"Defending the club was a strange way of staking his claim to a town or doing any particular good, still, he wasn't going to let anyone split hairs when he was cutting down devils with the wind spells of Ishtar and the playful stylings of his newest devil, Ghost Q. Luvia was still inside with the jug of moonshine as far as he could tell, and if she was safe in there, he didn't mind taking down a few of these little demon pricks while she had herself a good time. Maybe if they could clear the place out a bit and get a decent buzz on they could forget about the whole drunken Obariyon incident and...
