The man with "Sabaku" tattooed on his throat looked up. "There are many casualties from Tate's invasion. Luckily, our ninja were able to prevent a larger civilian death toll, but many of our Jounin were injured and approximately twenty-five percent of our Chuunin forces killed." There was, perhaps, a light sigh behind his wolf mask. "We were still in the process of searching for enemy traps and ninja, as well as tending to the wounded and reconstruction of the village when a new force suddenly appeared and began to attack."
He looked over his shoulder. "My Daisan no Me at the battleground show these enemies to be highly advanced in technology... and apparently possess the ability to negate jutsu. They also appear highly resistant to physical damage, as well." He bowed his head. "My son, Areno, is fighting them alone. No doubt to give the gathered Chuunin and Jounin, as well as the Mizukage at the wall a chance to prepare."

*the slice at his throat was real, and the entire darkness filled with a slight chuckle at the small trickle of blood, albeit it was really small...being a minor wound*
*The figure suddenly appeared again, inches from Areno, and his blade moved ever closer to Areno's midsection*

Areno frowned. "I didn't think that last attack was real, it didn't even feel like pain... you should work on your upper body strength." He didn't like weak enemies, they were boring.
Lefty appeared in front of Areno, and would grasp the blade if it actually attacked from where the figure -seemed to be-. Areno himself extended bones outward from his back that would easily entrap any sword stroke from there. One way or another, the sword was getting caught.

As the Mizekage flew through the air, he clasped both hands together
and began the seals he needed.
As the flames englufed him he let loose his jutsu
"Suiton: Suishoha!" (Water Release: Water Shockwave )
He pushed the huge mass of water through the flames and aimed them straight at the attacker, also creating an opening for him to escapse unseen.
He made more seals whilst hidden, "Hyouton: Kokuryuu Boufuusetsu" (Ice Element: Black Dragon Blizzard)
and two huge black ice dragons were released wrapping around the water mass and attacking from either side, and extending their attack to behind.
There was no escape..

"Looks like we have to get rid of this other mess before we can relax."
::Kazekage quickly ran off, taking off her training clothes as she did so. *thinks* Looks like I am going to have to break a few barriers.* She looked back and smiled at the SAWA group and Motoko.::

*as the figure neared and made contact, it again disappeared...now, an even deeper cut was present, but not on Areno, but rather his clone...the blood now began to run from his clone's throat...*
*the figure had sensed a connection between the clones and Areno from earlier, and if one fell, the other may be weakened...*
arrow Sunagakure Gate
*as the jutsus hit, the soldier's armor would shine faintly...the jutsus were doing no damage whatsoever...before impact, the jutsu actually seemed to lose focus and dissipate*
*The soldier struck his now brown-glowing axe to the ground, and a chasm opened up under the airborne kage...creating a hole for him to fall through*

As the Mizukage saw his Jutsus dissipate, he was surprised, but quickly forced himself out of it when he spied the large chasm below him.
He clapped his hands together and summoned forth a great amount of water, which began to fall down into the hole beneath him.
Hwaited until the precise moment and made a new seal, causing the water to freeze underneath him, and giving him a safe surface to land on.
He landed and let out a loud roar as his eyes changed and the chakra began seeping through his chakra pores in a blue/white colour in the shape of a monstrous beast.
Meanwhile6 of the Mizukage's mos elite soldiers were waiting in the shadows, waiting for this oppurtuniny.
They each struck out, some aiming at the target with powerful water jutsus, some drawing weapons to attack head on, all aware of the the powers of the enemies weapon now that they had seen it...

And therein lies a flaw in the figure's logic. Areno's clones weren't simple constructs or illusions. They were Junsui Bunshin, or True Clones. There were three Areno inside of the blackened sand dome.
Lefty felt the kiss of the blade to his throat and threw his head back, latching onto the base of the blade where the wrist of the hand should be. Bones jutted out of his forearm to scissor and grasp the blade itself as he attempted to cut the main artery of the figure's wrist... or just cut the whole hand off.

"Wha... Kazekage-sama! You need to be treated first! This enemy is unknown to us, they're dangerous! What will Sand Village do if its Kage isn't at full strength?" The SAWA, nonetheless, would follow after Shiko, whether she heeded their advice or not. Eleven elite ninja and the SAWA Commander.

"So I am suppose to sit around and wait for everything to be alright? I think not! I would much rather do something like this then sit around in my office signing papers and all that nonsense!"

*the clone would have caught..nothing...the cut would form moments after the blade made its unfelt contact...in this world, reality belonged to the figure...time was of no importance...*
*a small chuckle filled the void...*
*5 figures seemed to appear around Areno and his clone all coming at them with blades extended...*

*The soldier's armor negated the jutsus and the armor's auto shielding repelled the physical attacks...it'd take much more for them to punch a hole in this defense...*
*axe glowing blue, the soldier slammed the ground again...and Tomasu's ice would be turned against him...it quickly grew around his feet, up his legs, around his waist, up his chest, around his arms and finally his head...covering him in a icy prison...*

Mizukage laughed, an eerie, almost evil laugh.
"You are a fool!" he shouted as the ice passed his face.
From beyond the prison, people would begin to see bits of steam coming away, and water trickling down the prison as Mizukage's eyes glowed from behind, brighter and brighter, until all of a sudden, as if from no where, a huge force shattered the prison and like a flash of lightning, the demonic Mizukage rushed forward before the earth settled, with such sped and force that he was unseen by the naked eye.
He grabbed the enemy by the throat, raising him off the ground...

*The figure's shield kept the sand from falling on top of him...and he stood on top of the pile of sand leftover from the dome after the collapse...waiting for Areno...*

*armor activating, a strong current of electricity would be run through the Mizukage's body...*
*the slamming of an axe could be heard and sand began to wrap itself around the Mizukage's ankles, slowly ensnaring the Mizukage in something similar to the Desert Coffin...*

The figure would find something very disturbing as the sand cleared... all the chakra keeping the sand dome together had been drawn in for this very purpose... phasing through the shield before the Chakra was dispersed.
Areno was nowhere to be found... and in a five-point star around and on his neck, the cloaked figure would notice ten Grenade Notes, already burnt to very near their end before being applied... and lit alight again now. An estimated half second before they all blow at once, the short-fused grenade notes, from the time the sand dome fell to the point where the figure was searching for Areno.

And that sand would be drawn away from the Mizukage almost immediately, down beneath the desert floor by an unseen force.

As the sand drained from the demonic Mizukage's feet, he leapt up and over the enemy, waiting until just above him and aiming a massive amount of water straight down, from point blank range, making the pressure that much more formidable and deadly.
As the water poured down, the elite mist shinobi took actiong, and began to
freeze the water right as it made contact, making it impossible to dodge the water, and to be able to conduct an attack.
Two of them aimed specifically at the arm holding the axe, freezing it and taking away the use of the arm, making disarming the enemy much easier as they went to work...
