Ah - he'd found the bedrooms. He was careful not to touch any of the doors this time around but that didn't stop the floorboards from rising in protest. The thing he encountered was here again.
At least he'd vanquished it easily enough last time. Sarviur narrowed his eyes and presented his daggers to it, hoping that it was cowed enough by them. It was not. Bits of dust and debris rose to greet him, and he closed his eyes against the incoming invasion and struck out. He'd hit something, at least.

Sarviur struck again, although, still blinded from its debris, he was not especially effective. It didn't matter: this thing went down far more easily than anything else he'd encountered so far.

It did not appreciate a dagger to the face: the thing roared and collapsed into itself. In the roar Sarviur imagined he could hear squeaking floorboards and falling beams: it was a beast, truly, of the ruins.
But he'd conquered it, so there was no need to worry.

He pressed his fingers upon the keys but could not seem to find the rhythm or the melody he'd played the day before: his fingers were uncoordinated, tangled up in each other as they set upon the keys. It was clear that he was no piano player. He took his fingers off the keys for a spell - it was called a rest, right? - and something came from behind...
Sarviur was in front of the Blue Rose, looking up at the decaying hotel with awe.

The blue rose.. that was what the plaque said on the door as Maiden took notice of not only it, but the status of the room, worn down, dilapidated and in need of desperate repair. The floor boards creaked a horrible sound as he walked, the sound that make him wonder about the structural value of the flooring. If didn't dawn on him too look up instead when the glass cabinet door broke from nothingness, making a deep gash of grey on his arm.
There was no sticky red there, he was ok with this, no matter how much it made him wince.

The hallways were in decent condition, despite how badly it looked like a tornado went through here, ripping out paper and knocking a few structures over. other than that, the walls were still intact and standing.
the nearby cabinet that fell over had nails sticking out of it, scratching against his limbs when he tried to go over it.
Cabinets were not fond of Maiden.

cabinets were in low quantity ahead, but the creaking of floorboards let out a deep shudder, it had Maiden's ears alert and shocked when a bookshelf clipped him, splattering to pieces in a spray of wood and paper.

Maiden was not fond of the hallway of doom that was trying to passively kill him. Was the hallways alive and telling him to turn back, he did not know, but it only spurred on his curiosity as to what lay ahead.

Tiek hated this place so much, but he decided to just swallow it down and go in. Slowly he approached the hallway of death.
Shards of glass dropped from the ceiling, cutting into his arms and legs. Yelping, he ran breaknow down the rest of the hallway.

After the hallway came the bedroom. With much trepidation Tiek took a few hesitant steps inside.
Whatever shadow monster was there had apparently returned. It growled angrily and lunged at him. Caught off guard by the snarling beast, he failed to attack.
