As he descended further he couldn't help but be spooked by every little face in the fog. He jumped and whimpered, and whined, and when he came upon a platform that looked sturdier than the rest, he slumped down, because it meant rest.
Except it didn't, because the faces solidified and attacked, and Gun was barely able to get his weapon up in time.

Thean arrived to a misty place and was confused on which way to go. However she saw bridges leading downwards. And they were from... floating island to floating island?! She had definitely stepped into a weird world. Thean took a deep breath and started down. By the third bridge the fog was intense. She got caught in an eddy and began to see red.
She felt the delight at ripping off the womans arm and the intense pleasure and rush of power it gave. All of the ideas she had for those after her filled her with sadistic joy. She felt high, drunk on bloodlust she couldn't stave. She felt delightful...
And just like that it was gone. But she still felt a need, an ache for blood...
Being on the ground was actually kind of a vantage point, Gun realized as he peeked up through his bangs. He was able to brace himself on the ground and thrust upward powerfully, actually going some damage to the fog.
He immediately curled in on himself again afterwards.

He stepped down the path with trepidation, knowing how dangerous it was, but even though his guard was up, the fog, a memory, took hold and possessed him.
He was laughing as she screamed, laughing as he tore off each limb, laughing as blood trickled down his face, not his own, but of those he had dismembered, yet it was still not enough. He reached for her, and-
Kaje gasped, trembling violently. That was not him, that was not... He had to go.

As he caught on to some his his sanity - and his balls - he finally leaped from the larger platform down to a smaller one, continuing his descent. Just as he did, however, something grabbed his ankles and tugged him down, and he missed the platform by scant centimeters.
He started tumbling down, letting out soundly screams until his throat felt tight. And then he realized... He wasn't falling so much as floating.
