Evelyn knocked Shortstraw's head. "And lets not forget. Episode one of 'Fun times with baby!' Staying up every goddamn night with the baby crying because it pissed or shat itself. Or maybe just because it felt like waking you up at 2am." Kiera leaned against the counter and folded her arms over her chest. "You got some strong feelings about this." Evelyn shrugged and yawned. "My time to discourage you two was ages ago. Now I just gotta live with it I guess. Still. I don't know what I'd do if I hear a baby's screaming every night when I'm forced to stay awake." Kiera chuckled. "Oh you'll love it really."

*Shortstraw shrugged, "work in progress?" He chukkled and sat down to eat. "I mean keria will just sleep through it, so i'll just have to get up is all. I'm a light sleeper most of the time anyways. Besides, you everyone can use this great invention called earplugs but me." He laughed at his own joke, "we will figure it out. Or rather i will. Still dosn't frighten me. I've been thinking over this for a long long time." He nodded.

Evelyn's eye widened in mockery. "Brace yourself Kiera. He's been.... thinking!" Kiera chuckled a little and walked over to Shortstraw to lean over his shoulder an kiss his cheek. "Don't tease him, he's being a good little husband." Kiera then went down to sit next to him and grab some food. Evelyn made a face. "There's only so much earplugs can block out. Especially for someone with sensitive hearing." She cupped her ears in a sulk. Suddenly however, Kiera was flattened to the floor by a flying dog. "Mai!?" She exclaimed as she was pelted with a flurry of doggy kisses. He was definitely glad to see her. "Hey Mai!" Hana ran into the room after Mai however skidded to a stop when she saw Kiera Shortstraw and Evelyn. "Oh, it's you guys..." She put her hands behind her back and blinked a few times. Evelyn suddenly grinned. "Shortstraw. This is Hana."

*Shortstraw looked to hana, "oh." He glanced to keria with a smile, "one moment before my comment." He chukkled and got up as he walked over to Hana all freindly of course. He offered a handshake for the heck of it, "Hello Hana. Sorry... i didn't belive you were there before. But i'm shortstraw, your brother in law." He smiled, "your much cuter then donte... but he's got the cool youknow." He laughed and looked to evelyn and keria, "Ohhh so now i've been good huh?" he teased as he would soon go back to sit down and eat, "hmm this isn't too bad." He then would looke to evelyn agian, "And i didnt think of that but your right. The wolf and cats in this house will really really hear it huh. I remember when i was you for a day that the sounds were so much... more toned i guess i can put it." He nodded, "We will work it out though. Maybe i'll be able to keep the baby form crying at all." He smiled, "With my charms and lovlyness that drew in keira." he teased as he winked to her eating some more.

Hana scowled. "I AM NOT CUTE!" She folded her hands across her chest grumpily. "And Shortstraw is a stupid name." Kiera started to laugh as she finally got Mai to get off her. "That's my sister." Evelyn snickered. "Many people have told him that, kid. But he still won't get rid of it." She glanced over to Kiera. "Only she knows his real name." Hana made a face. "Oh. So he does have a proper name." She shrugged her shoulders and hopped over to Mai and Kiera. "Lame." When she was over with Mai and Kiera she made her best pouty face with her ears and everything. "Mai ate all my candy." Kiera chuckled. "Oh so Mai likes candy now. If Cyril has been feeding him candy I swear.." Evelyn tossed a candy bar over to them and Hana caught it in her mouth. "DANKS!" She said the best she could with the bar in her mouth. Kiera rose an eyebrow although stayed sitting on the floor with Mai and Hana. "Too many sweet things will rot your teeth you know." Hana grinned and sat in front of her with her hands on her feet. "Not a wolfs. Our teeth are uh.. dur.. dura.." "Durable?" Hana nodded. "Yeah!" Evelyn squinted. "You know she is pretty cute." Hana scowled again. "I AM NOT CUTE!"

*Shortstraw laughed* "Okay okay, your ugly." He teased. He shrugged and finsishe dhis dinner, "And who knows, you just might find out my real name Evelyn." He looked to her with a smerk, "if it's a boy we decided it's going to be a JR." He proudly made face, "but shortstraw is still going to be my name!" He bent down to keria and poked Mai as he spoke int he dogs ear like he could understand, 'Mai don't poince on keria okay, she's got a mini keria inside her and you dont want to hurt her okay.' he whispered as he offered keria a hand up, "I guess i cant just leave you on the floor." he chukkled, "that would be too easy."

Kiera chuckled and took his hand to stand up and sit back down again in her place. "Well I can't help it that I have a dog that has to flatten me on the floor any time he sees me." She smiled and petted Mai again. Hana looked up to Kiera with large eyes. "Sister..." Kiera looked to her with one raised eyebrow. "I guess I should learn that look will mean you want something." Hana still kept her ground. "Would it be alright if... I could.. you know.. look after Mai for you.." Kiera giggled. "Of course that's fine. I'm always so busy so I never have any time to look after him. That's why I asked Cyril to look after him for me." Evelyn's eyes dimmed. "Oh jesus ******** christ we're having that dog around the house again." Kiera looked unamused. "What was it you always say about bad language around children? And don't forget you're the one who actually got Mai for me." Evelyn sighed. "Yes, how could I forget."

*Shortstraw chukkled, "Well she had to have somthing. I mean i have the most alsome cat ever, so you had to get some to try and top me." He teased as he burst into laughter. meanwhile he patted Evelyns head, "thanks for your help today. I'm going to go take a quick shower and get ready for bed." He looked to keria, "it was hot out, i was sweating a storm." He then smerked as he walked away, "and to a sensitive NOSE, i'm sure i'm pretty ripe." He knew when he came out of his shower he would probablly find keria passed out but, who could blame her. Pregnant, gettin gup early for paperwork, and do all day activitys. That would tire anyone out.

Kiera was in fact out on the bed, however standing next to the bed was perhaps someone Shortstraw didn't expect. Hana tilted her head slightly and put her hand on Mai's head, then looked back to Shortstraw with her large blue eyes. "Oh, I'm sorry." She looked back to Kiera. "I was just watching her sleep." Mai yapped and nudged Hana. "You guys seem like nice people, I guess." She nodded to herself and clasped her hand tighter on the item she held before hopping out of the room happily with Mai right behind her. "Goodnight mister human." Hana hopped all the way downstairs to go and talk to Evelyn some more. Or who she just saw as the kitty. However Evelyn as down there with Kiiro. And this was a whole new discovery to Hana since she didn't properly meet Kiiro at the festival. Evelyn offered her own room for Hana and Mai for just the night seeing as Hana's own room was still being prepared. And for once, while Kiiro stayed in the room with Hana and Mai to keep watch over them as they slept, Evelyn sat alone in the living room with her back against the edge of the windowsill.

*Shortstraw chukkled, "well thankyou. Good night hana." He replied as she left. He walked over and looked to keria, it seemed odd. Eh he didin't know. So he laid downnext to keria and went to sleep. Unaware that event could have been many things since hana may have somthing aginst keria. And somthing about a item, he didn't cetch that either. But veria did.

In the morning however, Kiera's somewhat unusual blissful sleep was ruined by a shriek from downstairs. A shrill loud enough to actually break Kiera from her slumber. "Oh my ******** god..." "I'M SORRY I'M SORRY I'M SORRY I'M SORRY I'M SORRY I DIDN'T MEAN TO I JUST-" There was another little crash and a few large thumps. "She's going to slaughter you..." Kiera sat up and rubbed her head with a groan. "What the hell is going on.." "I can't believe I did that.. I'm sorry! What do I do.. It wasn't even my fault I mean.." Kiera slowly slid out of the bed and rubbed her eyes. "I'm not liking this already." She did the best she could to rush out of the room in her sleepy state and get to the top of the stairs. However at the top of the stairs she stopped, seeing the scene at the bottom. Mai's splattered lifeless and indeed bloody corpse laid on his side at the bottom of the stairs, and Hana in her wolf form stood over him with a dripping red jaw, contrast to her dirty white fur. And Evelyn, stood just opposite them, staring up at Kiera with a worried expression. "Oh jesus, you woke her up." Kiera looked down to Mai and her heart sank down to her stomach. "W-wha..?"

*Shortstraw was waking up next, finding keria had just gotten up. "Hmmm." He slowly got up and streached. He had a delayed reaction, for once but he got up quckly and headed out the roomt o find keria, "what is..." he stopped, "woooo..." He gulped, oh this was sad, and vary bad. He was ready to try and hold keria back, but man oh man this was going to get really bad for hana either way. He looked to evelyn as if to tell her to be ready for the fight, becuse surly they both knew... mai was a tresure.

Evelyn looked uneasily to Shortstraw as Kiera's face fell further into sadness. Evelyn took it upon herself to be the first to spring into action as she grabbed a tuft of Hana's fur and practically dragged her outside and out of view from everyone. She quickly shut the door behind her and pushed Hana away a little. "You're a really stupid kid.. you know that?" Hana sobbed and hid her tail between her legs. "I didn't mean to! He was stealing my food again and I dunno my instincts just kicked in and-" Evelyn shook her head. "I don't want to hear it. That's not even the point. Don't you know you're already in a delicate situation with Kiera?!" Kiera brought her hands up to her face and shook a little as her eyes switched rapidly between its red and golden states. "Mai.." She knew he wasn't breathing. She could see perfectly fine even from the top of the stairs. Even so, Kiera still hurled herself down to crouch beside Mai and check if there were any way to help him or.. bring him back. "What did she do to you.." The oddest thing, though, was how Kiera did not cry. If anything, she looked angry.

*Shortstraw stepped down sadly, "Keria..." He replied as he too squtted down to see mai as he reached out to touch his fur. He too like mai, and this... this was defently a bad thing. He might be enough to stop keria from doing anything stupid, but... still there was no undoing this. Not without cheating things that they should never mess with. 'Evelyn i'm unsure what keria may do to hana. We have to keep them apart right now. Donte hurt her though. Even if she deserves a hell of beating, it's the wrong way to take care of matters." He looked to keria again as he attempted to hold her, sorta... he was being really carful.

Evelyn sighed angrily and brought her hand to her forehead. "W-what do you mean? What's wrong with Kiera?" Evelyn glared at Hana and put her hand on her hip. "Change back." Hana thought for a second, and then concluded that it was probably best to do what this woman said. So she shifted back to a human. Evelyn walked over to her and cleaned the blood from around her mouth and crouched down to her level with a whisper. "Hana, what you have done right now could be something very very very bad. You could have just started something monumental that will carry like a line of dominoes falling against each other." Kiera took a breath and shut her eyes, bearings with Shortstraw's feeble attempts to comfort her for the moment. "Where'd she go." Kiera opened her eyes again and looked to the door. "I want to speak with her." She said calmly. As she stood up she swatted away any of Shortstraw's attempts to keep her down. "I just want to speak to her. Nothing else." She walked over to the door. "I don't understand.. why would this has anything to do with.." "You haven't just upset one Kiera."
