"If the mood took you and that damnable parasite you carry was agreeable, I'm sure you could pull the whole house down. That doesn't make it preferable or necessary however, and Pyke already has several flaws to work on.
Overall though, I'm pleased with the work they've done - much more flexible than the old training room. No headsets for one."
She set the pitcher on the floor next to him, and took a step back, not touching him even to help him up. she felt a tingle pass down the back of her neck, the feeling of eyes on her, but turning her head, no one was there, the techies already pullign the computer apart, whiel one slid the light bee used in the simulation into a small unit connected to one of the computers they brought in. Shuddering, she shrugged the feeling off and shook her head.
"Still not sure where the dragon came from though. Don't think I've ever seen that used by anyone I've fought for real. You ok? Don't bravado me either. Just answer."

Cocking a brow up at Roan's sudden change of attention, he smirked and fell to a seated position with his one better legs knee raised, as he picked up the pitcher.
"From what I seen 'n' read, a dragon could 'ave been one o' two things. Teh Daemon we shall not speak o' messin' with teh TR again, or... Tzimisce."
He took a long gulping swig of the vitae, drinking deeply of it before sighing with relief as he noted the regeneration starting to stem cease the flow of blood around his exposed musculature.
"I'm ok. Didn't 'old a candle to the time we fought in teh bar, or when I fought Take in 'ere. I'll need rest though for a day."
That said he had to catch the pitcher with both hands, as he neary dropped it, then shattered the handle with the spasm in his grip.
"Ok, a day 'n' a 'alf."

"It won't be the Daemon. He's safely under lock and key. Of course, it could just be some random programming error on Pyke's part. A little bit of Obtenebrate combined with Také's abilities at a level I'm incapable of, but could be theoretically possible.
If so... this set up could actually outdo the real me, or project future abilities. That'd be interesting and useful."
Watching him, she smiled and checked her automatic reaction to try and catch the pitcher, not at all bothered when the handle got snapped.
"Then in two days, you can try and break it again if you like. For now, it would be best if you rest up. While that shock didn't contain the full potency of what Také can do, nor the arcane nature of trying to heal it away, that was still a nasty wound. Never EVER try and touch a Daemon blade.... I think this is a lesson you should drum into yourself.
By the way, I assume you ran Deceit's errand for him?"

Setting the pitcher down before he completely broke it, he sighed long and hard as he leaned back on his hands, oddly not bothered by the exposed injuries till now. Nerves regenerating after the blood had dried.
"No offense boss, but you probably though' it was contained before 'swell. If it were 'im though he'd 'ave spoken to me again... Unless 'e can no longer do that. If that were teh case though, it's unlikely 'e could tamper with teh room that much. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if it had been Ice ********' with me."
Much like Roan had shivered at the eyes on her, he now did at his own mention of the Tzimi s**t.
"At least you know now, it wont work on me if ya do develop that voodoo."
He smirked with his own little jab, though knew fully well that she was capable of working around what she'd seen, now that she knew about it.
"I wanted t' perfect teh voodoo before showing it t' you. But, it might 'ave just been because it's not real that I couldn't analyse it. It's the first time I tried. I wanted to use Magra to analyse, and repeat the DNA signature behind teh technique. If I could get that right, I could copy blood based skills... That's me theory at least..."
Raising one hand he dipped it into the pitcher of blood, and began absorbing. Safer than picking the bloody pitcher up while he had a nervous system under the control of an ADD three year old with a big red button.
"If I don't play with teh sword, I wont get used to it."
He tilted his head slightly and cocked a brow at Roan with a smirk.
"No offense, Take."
He then attempted to produce his smokes, and light one up.
"I think if I can manage to not die instantly when hit by a Daemon's power, then I gained somethin'. Resist 'n' fight this 'n' it can be translated, right?... As fer Marilyn Bambi Manson, I got teh job done. ******** got into teh museum before me 'n' posed as one of teh staff I was giving the eye and ******** with. 'e then called me sweat 'eart and was off... I think I did too good a job, for me own good."

Listening to Corbin, she frowned as he went on, nodding slowly as he spoke but internally somewhat worried by the nature of his discourse.
"Firstly, you're right about the Daemon. I hadn't expected such a sudden wake up from it, nor reckoned with its full power. This has now been rectified. I assure you, between the swords' new home and Také, he wont be bothering you again for some time.
Similarly, Ice prefers to mess with people on his own terms. He rarely does so here, because I... we... have the home advantage. That was why the museum suited him, though I'm somewhat worried you say he seems to have taken such an interest. Still, pretty or not... you;re too young to be at too much risk as yet."
She paused and took a breath before continuing. A breath she didn't need, except for the faint feeling that someone... someone that wasn't Také... was chuckling in approving amusement in the back of her head, over Corbin's intentions using Magra.
"Be careful. La Magra is a god, and be it he is a god of blood and somehow beholden to you, or at least stuck with you... he is recorded as being wily and cunning. Always make sure whatever you try to do is truly your own idea, and has a purpose. Messing with blood is very dangerous and meaningful among our kind. Do not become its slave, or chase that which you do not need."
She didn't comment on his talk of learning to bear touching her sword. She didn't feel the need to mention that what he had felt had been a simulation of Také's effect, and as such had none of the venom to its bite. Také's damage wouldn't heal as quickly as Corbin was from the shock he'd received. Plus, should he and Amatsu ever get closer... touching Ferago would become a whoel new realm of bad news, for both of them. It wasn't a conversation she wanted to have yet.

"I s'pose you're right on all counts."
Satisfied with the pitcher being emptied he sighed and gradually got to his feet with some caution of course. He managed though with only the barest of tremors in his legs.
"It was me idea, dun worry boss. You said I should try 'n' get a better grip on teh blood god, so I taken that as trainin'. Now that I think about it though... Maybe it didn't work because I 'lready 'ave teh DNA for that. It was a jumped up version of your playin' with shadows voodoo, right? When I killed my original Sire I got my eyes, could I 'ave gotten teh shadow s**t from you when you sired me?"

"No. Brujah... the Clan my blood originates from... have an innate affinity for three Dsciplines - Potence, which is strength, Celerity, which is speed, and Presence, which is essentially supernatural awe.
Shadow play, or Obtenebrate to name it properly, is a Clan Lasombra skill. I learnt what I know in Japan, many years ago, and that's why I can't just turn into a dragon like you saw today, even though I have some ability with shadows.
From me, you should have only picked up an affinity for speed and the like. But Magra does throw a spanner in the works with regards to this. Then again, your abiltiies with him are somewhat... rudimentary?... as yet.
In short... I suspect not, but I don't know."
She started out sure, but by the end, was somewhat more uncertain as to just how her blood had affected him. Lighting up a smoke, she exhaled, and indicated now would be a good time to leave the TR, especially as she had noted the sliht tremble still in him, and wanted him to get some rest.

"You learnt it?.. So, there's reason t' believe that I could as well? 'ow do you even do that I mean... Celerity 'n' Potence I get that's muscle control n'n blood flow. Even Chimerstry is just blood flow 'n' will power."
Taking a cautious first step, he pondered it, then decided it was safe enough to move further under his own power. Thus he'd follow direction and exit the TR while continuing on.
"But what muscle, controls shadows? Not teh mention this Presence hoo-ha, sounds somethin' like normal bloody personality 'n' confidence teh me. Wait... Is that something I did get then? Presence?"

She stopped at the bottom of the stairs as they walked, and talked, and turned around, making sure to do so so abruptly she caught his eye.
She was terrible, of course. but so very, very beautiful. In the same way a tiger is beautiful, even with its maw red with the blood of a deer laying between its claws. It made you want to be close, to be able to say you had been next to a supreme predator, and lived. It went without saying, that of course, anyone would do what she said. She was so sure, so confident, so completely aware of everything around her. If she asked for the moon, you'd build a ladder to go and get it.
"Corbin, you should be kneeling. Wont you? It would make me so... happy."
She dropped the skill as she said the word 'happy', not intending to make him do so, but just to prove the point.
"One of the most awe inspiring muscles in the body is the brain. Humans use only about 20% of their brain on a day to day basis. The other skills we can learn merely use parts of the brain we did not in life. Just as you can make people believe things which are not real exist, I can make things which do not exist real. Albeit made out of shadow. The muscle I use... is my brain. It is a very well developed muscle, so while you may enjoy fighting my replica.... make sure you remember your limits."

So bloody sudden, and with no prior knowledge of how Presence worked he could only react in one manner. Specifically, 'guh?'
His eye grew wide and he found himself without question fixated on her, his legs almost giving out on him before she even said the release phrase and yet, as she did release him, him smirked.
"So, i'm right."
He of course was referring to the fact that what she had just forced upon him, wasn't a terrible stretch on what he already saw when he looked at her. Subtle, though not enough it'd be missed. He could see the use in a discipline like that but if you wanted to be something so great, wouldn't it be better to simply become that which you wanted to inspire? Much as Roan had.
"Fun, but i'm more interested in teh shadows. Could you... Would you teach me?"

"Somewhat. I could make you believe I was queen of the fairies and was stealing your soul if I chose, but therein comes the problem - undead don't have souls and if you know that, the skill has no effect on you. Nor does it work once those you aim it at are out of line of sight.
It's all very well making people believe you are the Grand High Poobah of Ijustmadeitupistan, but it comes crashing down when they walk away for a few minutes, realise you just fleeced them for all their money, and then snipe you to death from afar. I prefer to use Presence only to enhance what I can naturally cause people to do with words, just to make sure things I need done are done. It's no good trying to get people to hurt themselves using it either by the way... that instantly makes them snap out of it."
She shrugged, and carried on upstairs as she explained the skill in a bit more detail.
"As for Obtenebrate, yes I will teach you. In time. Not yet. Master what you have at your disposal first, or at least become competent, including in getting Magra to work with you on demand, and then I will pass on what I know. This is just as it was for me. The mentor I had wouldn't teach me until Také and I had reached an understanding. It was for the best."

"I guess that all makes sense. Nothin' wrong with a bit o' glue to make s**t stick better. Then I suppose, that is a part of me 'omework as well."
Learn to get a little more control out of both Potence and Celerity to the point he could get more out of them both without the harm he had experienced on occasion in the past. Most recently of which when he underwent the marking and nearly ripped his insides apart and choked his own heart out with Potence.
Then would come studying and working on the manifestation of Presence. Something made him think that with his existing Chimerstry he would have a better grasp on the process than someone from scratch, like Nines when they had been learning to control their disciplines in the tabernacle with Roan quite some time ago.
That in turn, could maybe help him understand Obtenebration when the time came that Roan thought him ready.
"Guess I'll need to be sittin' and 'aving a chat with Magra...Ok, if you 'ad to to it, then I got nothin' to complain about."

"Corbin? You have forever. I won't let anything happen to you. I have never shared my blood easily or commonly. You have time on your side, you don't need to rush things, don't need to force yourself.
Just... be aware of that, ok? I won't let anything happen to you. Get some rest."
Her voice was somewhat softer than normal, though she soon shook the sentiment off at the end, and cuffed him upside the head as she left him outside his room.
"And don't run your mouth in front of Ice again."

He wasn't sure what to say to that. It was almost as sudden and 'guh' inspiring as the display of Presence a minute ago. He'd originally tried to kill her, then, worked for her and was tortured by her, then forced himself upon her as a fledgling, then became her pupil.
As she clapped him upside the head though it cleared the air for them both, and as she continued on, his hand deftly rubbing the side of his skull, he smirked.
"By teh way, Jan is worried about you. Not me place, just sayin'... Night boss."
And with that he entered his room, lighting a smoke once inside and went to his bed. He wanted to start studying, and practicing immediately however Roan was right, he would need his rest. He could remain still for a bit at least, satisfied he'd apparently beaten back something that wasn't natural like that in the TR.

"Jan's always worried about me. It's his job."
And she passed out of sight at the end of the corridor. She too required rest, and had a small ritual to complete, regarding the very man they had both mentioned. Jan was a ghoul. This needed to be tended to. It would mean that for an hour or two, the butler was unavailable.
