'Ha! Of course it's for a good cause! I got some for you and your daughter as well, after all!" I say laughingly to Zazigh. I then turn to Nero, who seems to be freaking out.
"Hey, y'all right? You know, it won't hurt my feelings none if you're not interested in me. I'll flirt with any of my friends just for fun, and I won't hold a grudge or anything if you pick Laci over me. I'm still sortin' out how exactly I view you guys myself!" I say to him cheerfully.

"Oh," Tellat says. "That's...interesting."
Desta:
You find this action mildly difficult due to Shi'ita's wings.
Nero:
Tellat looks at you worriedly.
"What's going on?" she asks. "I don't understand..."
Jasmine:
"Ahem!" the merchant says, trying to get your attention once more.
He has sixteen strawberries and eight apples sitting on the table.
"I will get the other dipped immediately," he says as he stands up.

Shi'ita nuzzles his face against Desta softly, "My second friend. My friend." he says, the second 'my' sounding slightly possessive, "I never want to lose another friend."

I smile softly as Shi'ita nuzzles me and I place my hand on the back of his head gently. "You won't, Batboy, you won't..." I speak softly.

"Awesome! I look forward to seeing your masterpiece!" I say cheerfully to the merchant. I take in a deep smelll of the merchandise that was already presented to me, loving the aroma absolutely wonderful.

I lift my head to look at Laci, especially when she says she's scared, and I extend my legs to normal sitting position so I can see easier.
"Don't be scared..." I say with a slight smile and I briefly touch her shin (the nearest non-suggestive part to me) with my hand assuringly.
"I'm just...confused...and...upset. So much is new to me..." I muse, mostly to Tellat, Laci, and Jasmine, as they are the main ones concerned with me. I take a deep breath to ease the tension in my heart and stomach and stand myself up and brush my legs off to get the dirt off of my fur.
"Thank you lovelies...for caring..." I say with a tender smile, then I notice Shi'ita and Desta and my heart almost breaks in half.

When Nero stands Laci does too. She watches him watching Desta, the look on face of incredible sadness. "Um.." She thinks, how can I make him happy? Maybe he wants a hug too. So she throws her arms around him, standing on her toes to reach around him properly, "It's okay Nero! Don't be sad!"

I smile immensely at Laci hugging me, and I hug her back tightly.
"Aww...you always know how to cheer me up, don't you? I love that so much!" I say with pure bliss, but then I look at Shi'ita and Desta again.
"However...I need to try to cheer someone else up right now, too. Thank you for helping me," I say tenderly, rubbing up against her and purring briefly before I walk after Desta and Shi'ita.
I walk over to the two and almost feel the pain emanating from sorrowful Shi'ita.
"I know you've lost people close to you...but I hope we can be there to help you through. Will...will you let me be there for you...?" I say with a shy, hopeful smile, and I don't fight the urge to lean forward to lick Shi'ita's head briefly.
"Hold on, dear brother. I want so badly to see you truly smile...and I would love to be there when it happens. I do love you, my brother, even if you don't care as much about me..." I say with a heartfelt smile and I don't hold back my hugging the two as they hug eachother.
"I wish you were my brother than my real one..." I muse with a saddened tone and bittersweet smile, "...and Desta..." I just want for you to love me, too, Desta...I love you so much..., "...I care for you...so much...even if you don't really care for me..." I almost freeze as I realize what I've just said, a little relieved at my not telling entirely how I feel, but I continue speaking anyway.
"What am I complaining about? Everyone struggles with feelings and losses, and we all have this heartbreak...and is it that our broken hearts are completed when they fit together with other broken hearts like puzzle pieces? May I mend my heart with yours'?" in saying this, I'm speaking mostly to Shi'ita and Desta (and deeply in my heart for Desta), but it is spoken aloud so as to include every other person dear to me nearby.

My eyes widen with surprise as Nero comes up and hugs us. "Um... Nero..." I speak through short breaths. "I'm glad for...the support....but...I... can't...breath!"

I open my endearingly closed eyes and let go worriedly.
"Oh! Oh! Sorry!! I'm so sorry!!" I say with deep apology, my handpaws going to my mouth in worry.
"I'm...sorry...if I bothered you..." I say with a sad conviction, blushing deeply. "I just...I just..." I just want to hug you, Desta...I just want you to say you love me...

The merchant returns with sixteen chocolate-dipped strawberries, as promised.
"This should be everything, no?" he says. "And I assume you'd like a basket or two to carry them in, hmm?"
Laci:
Once Nero lets you go, Zazigh comes over to you.
"I see that you care about him quite a bit," he says. "You all must have gone through some hard times in there for you all to be this emotional."
Jasmine:
Tellat comes over to you and looks at what all you bought.
"What are these?" she asks.
"Oh, your wolfy friend doesn't know her fruits, eh?" the merchant says.

Shi'ita feels a bit squished when Nero decides to join in on the hug, and takes a step back from Desta after Nero lets go, and turns to face Nero. "I've never had a brother before..."

I can't help but laugh softly at Nero's reaction after I regain my oxygen supply and I watch Shi'ita with a simple smile.

"Yes, I would like a few baskets! I should enjoy these in a nice grassy park like they were intended to be! That, and I kinda like nature more nowadays, y'know, with the tails and all. Does this town have a park? My friend here's been, ummm, pretty deprived from the better things in the world, and I plan to show what she's been missing!" I say cheerfully as I grab Tellat's hand gently, not sure if she still needed a guide or not.
