Barth was, and wet his whistle gratefully. He found his way to the seat beside her, without breaking the kiss. If he had to mentally prioritize what was sweeter, the kiss or sitting down after two rounds of dancing and punch-fetching, he'd have a hard time of it.
The combination of the two was sinful.
And they'd finally stopped looping that one song.
Barth was just...going to stay here for a while.

His ghoul now back where she belonged within his arms the boil blinked down at her as she rolled her head up to smile at him. Brows arching at the comment before the softly puzzled frown he'd been wearing for a while now melted into an easy grin. That was more like it. His monstrous hand moved to her back to steady her as she rose on her toes to give him a kiss, turning his head so it landed closer to the corner of his mouth then anything else. "You think so? So tricky little ghoul made off with my hair band."
He smirked, though it wilted around the edges as she turned to give Nuk another hug and a peck on the cheek. No. He wasn't going to allow himself to fall into the same uncomfortable jealousy twice. There was nothing between the two to worry about, their friendship much the same as his and Aislin's.. There was a swift moment of clarity followed by an ironic smile and a shake of his head as he allowed the ghoul to lead him off towards the dance floor. "Of course we can, J," he slide his arm from her grasp, fingers trailing along her wrist before taking her hand. "I'm all your's."
Using her hand as a guide the boil turned her so he could once again hug her from hind, human fingers retaining their hold on her smaller ones. Cheek resting against the side of her head.
He cast one somber look back at the skinwalker, noting the sobering expression on the other boil's face before he ducked his head and made his escape. Seiji didn't know the details, wasn't sure he wanted to know, but he could see the obvious pain. it made him tighten his grip on the ghoul in his arms as they began to sway. Happy she was there with him. Happy she cared so much for him, and happy he'd let himself care so much for her.

"Y-You're not angry?" She blinked, tilting her head as she frowned at his sudden laughter; her eyes were still moist and slightly red, but she wasn't crying anymore. She still looked rather upset, however, when he stressed the word 'you'. She wasn't sure if he meant it in a good, bad or neutral way, and it was confusing, the way he phrased it.
"I figured that was why you gave me that look," She simply replied, staring at the ground as she started chocking up again, "Because I'm a demon, right? You're the only person who had ever made me feel self-conscious about that..." A sigh followed as she looked up again, a forced smile on her lips, "Yeah, that was my first. I suppose it's at least memorable... Let's go back now? I don't think keeping Tess or Mot waiting too long is a good idea."
She lowered her gaze again; suddenly, she didn't feel like going back... After all, if that's all he had to say about what she had just told him... Ugh.

Moure was kind of mentally baffled a bit by the fact that he and his 'date' were late.
Moure was usually never late to anything.
Well, they couldn't really do anything about his arm deciding to fall off. He'd had to grab it, take it back to his room, change out of his nice chauffeur suit, re-attach his arm, then get on his shirt and suit all over again. (This is why he usually had short sleeves on, actually. Arm attaching was too much hassle otherwise.) And then get back to where they'd been before.
Overall, it was actually kind of amazing they weren't later than they already were.
As they had gotten closer to the actual Prom though, the patchwork felt his arm being gripped bit more tightly than before. With a slightly confused expression, the Runner looked over at his 'date', just when she was starting to address him. At her question, he gave a nod, and tipped his chauffeur's hat slightly. "If you are..." He paused looking at her holding his arm so tightly. "Are you going to be alright? I'm here for you, if you need anything."
Which was actually extremely accurate. The whole reason Moure was going to this dance was because Danny had needed a date. He was acting as her escort, that was all. In all actually, he had kind of taken her asking him as an Errand or Order, and he was determined not to fail this job of being there for her.

"Oh jack Barth Lilith---" Claire had seen the kiss. She had no idea if she was happy for him or not. She remembered the text conversation with Mandy and felt for her. She looked... hurt. Not for herself, of course, but for Mandy. Plus there was the whole he's-my-brother thing.
Claire just looked away and walked away. She'd ask questions later.

Colette held her bouquet and corsage in each hand while thinking about the events that had just happened. She had actually unknowingly found Petro, which was good; Tset arrived and that was equally important; and as soon as they actually entered the prom, Petro left to go pelvic thrust in unison with other boils.
". . ."
The Grim Reaper sighed. Nothing was ever normal. She didn't even bother to look at the atrocity for long and instead focused on her corsage with a slightly confused expression. Colette got that it was a flower sort of thing, she just didn't know what to do with it other than use it to avert her attention. Shrugging, she settled for dumbly holding onto it.
When Petro returned, Colette looked up and was relieved. If he was back, that meant the weird thrusting group of boils was probably done. She no longer had to feel completely awkward and uncomfortable. "Uh... It's okay." ER -- wait. Did he say boils had to do something like that? Colette furrowed her brows. She hoped ghouls didn't have to do it too.
Looking around the wonderfully decorated auditorium, Colette frowned at her lack of an answer for Petro's question. She didn't know what to do first. "I.. uh.." What did you do at prom anyway? Other than dancing -- she saw that part for herself. Colette looked back and forth between her two dates before smiling. "Whatever you guys want to do is fine with me," she answered. There! Problem solved. "I didn't have anything planned."

Xiu laughed at his complaint, taking a big gulp of her own drink and sighing relief. "Aw, but it was fun, wasn't it? And you can sleep in as late as you want tomorrow, so there's no harm in using up a bit of energy." It was still pretty early in the evening though, and there would probably be more fun to come. Might as well take this chance to rest up!
The ghoul emitted a happy little sigh. She really was enjoying herself, and it was wonderful to see her friends take to the dance floor and let loose. To be honest, despite having taken lessons, Xiu hadn't been entirely keen on the idea of dancing in front of so many of her peers, but after the last dance...
Throwing away her self-consciousness for this one night wouldn't hurt. She had already seen people she never thought she would see dancing--specifically Vaith and Shun--throw themselves onto the floor and enjoy themselves. She could--and would--do the same!
Maybe she could try to be a little more social too, while she was at it? She had stuck to a group she knew well for the majority of prom so far, but it would be nice to meet new people too. Her gaze swept the room, and landed immediately on a short-haired ghoul who stood only a few paces from where she and Vaith sat.
"Not dancing?" Xiu piped up suddenly, offering her friendliest smile.

lalalala turning around lala---MOURE Claire quickly combed her hair with her fingers, flattened her dress and looked pretty before approaching him and his... date. "H-hey Moure! And uh... Moure's friend." She said politely, once again batting her eyelids. Hopefully he wouldn't say something like 'oh yeah wassap claire dis here is my gurlfran sexy mcbuttox' or something. Yep.
Okay, Claire liked him. There was no denying it.

Marzena hadn't expected anyone to come up to her. She didn't really know anyone in the Academy; there was Calder and the people in the swim team, of course, but she hadn't been going lately. It was under the pretense of being sick that she had spent her time investigating the octopus witch, so she had been absent from most practices.
"They were grinding." Marzena pointed out bluntly to the ghoul who had addressed her, folding her arms. "And besides, I'm not much of a dancer." A swimmer, more like.
...Alright, perhaps she had danced in water before but that was different from doing it on land.

"Oh no~! She stole your hair band? Now that's unfortunate. It's a good thing you're pretty or I might have to change my mind about being seen with you. Getting things like that stolen by a silly little ghoul." Junko scoffed, finding this whole kidding around thing with serious sounding jokes to be a lot easier to do as time went on. It was fun! It was kind of liberating, even! She never would've dreamed she'd be making fun of those she loved like this. To say mean things but not mean them? It was so fun! Haha! She was completely unaware of Seiji's discomfort with her treatment toward Nuk, though she couldn't bring herself to look back at Nuk. She didn't want to see what her small chat with Christof had done. She didn't. She couldn't. To see Nuk upset would shatter her heart, especially knowing it was something she had not intended but done. She wasn't even going to mention Shehk to him. She truly wasn't. Ugh.
Thankfully Seiji was there to pull her thoughts away from her fretting, smiling up at him and shivering a little at his touch. Her heart fluttered happily at his answer, giving his hand a squeeze as he held it again. "Good, I'm glad." She turned as he wanted her to, giving a laugh as she once again found her back against him. "You really like being behind me tonight. What is this." Junko almost rolled her eyes but resisted the urge to do so, instead she tilted her head toward Seiji as he rest against her. Her Seiji. She wasn't going to risk losing him for anything; not for a break up, not for a fight, not for anything.
Ugh! She needed to stop thinking like this! Junko sighed to herself and shook her head, smiling once again as she gave his hands a squeeze and leaned back against him once more. She wanted to dance. She wanted to dance with Seiji and hear him sing for her just as he had with Tomoko, and with Aislin, and with...well...not her. "I want to dance now. Actually dance, not just sway." Junko turned her head to kiss his cheek, giving Seiji's hands a squeeze before she lifted them above her head so she would turn and face him properly. "You've done it with everyone else. It's my turn."

Danny realized Moure was probably uncomfortable being held so close. She released her tight grip on his arm, for fear that it might fall off again, but still kept her arm around his. She was happy to have his presence.
"I'm okay. Just scared. You?" she said with wide eyes. Danny was never one to hide how she felt, luckily and unluckily. It was a good thing neither one of them was romantically inclined. Dense idiots.
Danny's fear was relieved as a girl with light brown hair and curly horns bounced over to them. "Uhm h-hi there?" she stuttered. Danny wasn't exactly sure how to respond to this new installment. Was Claire just a friend? More than a friend? Enemy.
Instantly, she looked at Moure for some assistance. Turning back to the girl, she said, "Oh uhh... my name's Danny. Not Moure's friend. That would be silly. You can call me that if it suits you though." Danny; queen of suave.

"Not anymore, no." Mac admitted. "Yeah it's still annoying, but..." He shrugged. A kiss on the cheek could have meant anything, really. Head tilted again when she started to choke up again. Oh...did he say something wrong? He must have, because...well...everything was going backwards again. For a moment he thought about what she had said and the way she had said it, and waved a hand in dismissal.
"They can wait a little. Maritess made me wait, I can return that favour." Right now, that wasn't important to him; yes Tess was his date and yes he did like the ghoul, but the ghoul in front of him was...well more important right now. He took little nonchalant steps forward as he spoke, making Lizzy back up with each slight move. "For the record?" He started, taking another step. "It's not just because you're a demon..." Another step, and another little piece of information.
"...It's because you're you." Again with that emphasis; however this time, there was no step accompanying it; Lizzy's back was already against a wall; Mac's arms suitably blocked her escape, his hands flat against the wall on either side of her.

Moure noticed she was loosening up on his arm, and looked back at her again. Did she think it might come unstitched again? Well, that was considerate of her.
At her answer, Moure gave a nod understandingly. "Similar, I suppose." He looked around at all the amazing decor, then spoke again. "I've never actually gone to a dance before. Well, not without being on the serving end..." He trailed off, then gave a bit of a smile and shrug. It really was a good thing they didn't like each other romantically. They seriously would never get anywhere.
Moure looked up as he heard a familiar voice call out his name. He turned, seeing the ghoul he'd met in the Cafeteria, Claire, coming over. She was sporting a rather nice black dress, which looked like it had been brushed down recently. "Hey Claire." He said, offering her a bit of a grin. "Nice to see you again."
When Danny introduced herself, Moure realized he was supposed to speak around now, at least that's what the look she was giving him seemed to call for. "Danny, this is my friend, Claire. Claire, this is my friend, Danny." It sounded polite and would clear things up, right? After all, he'd only really spoken to Claire at the Cafeteria, but she'd seemed rather nice. Looking at the petite gluttony demoness, Moure found himself asking, "Did you come alone? Or is your date just playing a game or something?"

Friend. Well, that was true. They were just 'friends'. But Claire did not want to be in the friendzone. No she really did not. She smiled at the Danny girl's remark (if a little bit late) and put her hand on her hip as she thought about what to say to the 'Did you come alone' question. She didn't want him to think she was unavailable, but she wanted him to think she had friends. What do? ffff "I came with my friend Roch. Not sure where he is, though. Probably chatting up some girl." She said with a laugh. Perfect.
However Claire realized that this boil was not getting the hint. Plan time. He had to get the hint! HE HAD TO. "Are you guys..." she pointed to both of them as if to say 'together' in a more-than-friends way. The slight smile on her face got a tiny bit larger.
Oh yes, her plan was amazing.

Danny nodded with relief as Moure took over the talking. Danny was outgoing, it was true, but prom had sort of shocked her into a bumbling stupor.
Then Claire mentioned Roch.
Danny's head went flying back in laughter. "ROCH? Stupid Roch is your date!" She continued laughing, regardless of how rude it was. Any awkward pretenses had now left the area. "Oh gosh, why would you take that bimbo!" She loved Roch, she really did, but the idea of him being any sort of ideal "date" was just hilarious. Well maybe it was just because of how Danny knew Roch.
"Aww he ran off without you?" she said with sincere sympathy. Stupid Roch. He would get a fist full of Danny scolding later.
Danny's laughter subsided with Claire's newest question though. Her head tilted at a fourty five degree angle and her eyebrows knit themselves together. "Are we .... Are we what? I don't get it," she said with a completely straight face. No really Danny did not get what Claire was talking about. The girl seemed rather pleased with her odd question though. Must be something in the punch.
