Irella al-Meara

PostPosted: Fri Mar 09, 2012 3:18 pm

Securing the clasps on her boots, Irella tapped her heel twice to the floor to make sure they fit properly. When she seemed satisfied with it, she stood up from the corner of the bed she'd been sitting on and began working on fastening the shoulder straps of her newest outfit. Skin-tight, red, leather armor. A far more appealing and functional outfit than that restrictive Officer's wardrobe had been.

She had just tightened the second strap when Mab talked to her. With her heart still racing and sensations and adrenaline washing over her mind in abundance, her eyes flashed back in an instant to the shapely form lying behind her. She still felt completely wired.

"I'm sorry, where were we?"

She arched a brow at the other woman for a moment, before she looked away, inspecting one of many bruises on her arm. She could hardly even recall how she'd gotten most of them.
"We?" She asked, ending her short question with a semi-playful snort. "I know that I'm going out for a short walk." She replied the Anzat, looking back at her with just a hint of dissapointment, or was it jealousy? She wasn't quite sure herself. "You seem to be pre-occupied with... well, who knows?"

She shrugged and turned back to the door. She a had a pretty good guess of what was keeping Mab distracted; Darth Venia. She didn't like it one bit. They had been waiting for days now, for even the slightest sign of her presence and still there had been nothing. Irella could think of better ways to have spend that time. She couldn't think for the life of her any reason of why someone like Mab would be so dependable anyone.

Then again, perhaps it was a situation much like her own, one in which she felt the constant need to win the Anzat's attention and appraisal. After all, without Mab, she would've been all alone, in who knows what kind of miserable location or situation.

Coruscant - The Jedi Temple

A crowd of about thirty men and women kept a slight distance from the main entrance of the Temple, in turn, everyone on the street kept at a safe distance from them. Even the Coruscant guards stationed at the Jedi Temple were wary of the unusual group not far from them. These people were filthy, with unwashed hair and dressed in filthy clothing. A hint of madness haunted their eyes, instigated by greed at the riches they were promised for fulfilling this task.

Only one person stepped forward, and kept walking until finally reaching the top of the stairs. None of the security personnel seemed to notice this one person whom stood out very much from the rest of the group. Expensive and clean, black robes, face hidden under the shadow of the hood.

There was security camera above this person, aimed at the stairs and thus at the cloaked figure. There was a soft chuckle, before Ensis removed the hood and dropped the cloak to the ground, smiling up at the camera as she did so. Still, there was no reaction from the security force, as if they were looking past her at the suspicious group in the distance.

With a flick of her wrist, a red beam of plasma was unleashed from the hilt of her lightsaber, it wasn't until then that they finally took notice of her, gasping in surprise as if she had materialized out of thin air. As draining as the use of Force Cloak was on her energy, the looks on their faces made it all worth it. Besides, she would be gone from here well within a minute or two, well before any back-up security forces could arrive. She'd only come here for two reasons; Aid her little group of hired vermin in gaining access to the temple to wreck the place, and second, to make it known that not even the safety of the republic home was out of the reaches from a Sith.

Caught in surprise, the group of four security agents were quickly dealt with. Two died by her lightsaber, another by reflected laser fire and the last by the Force. She waved at the camera above and blew it one quick kiss before destroying that too, the group of people from the lower levels rushing past her into the temple.
"I'd advise you to use the blasters found on these fools." She spoke to them. "And don't disappoint me."

It were the last words she spoke to them, before disappearing down the steps. She knew very well that whatever back-up was heading this way, would most likely make short work of these people, but they were either to foolish to realize that, or too overcome by greed and the prospect of a wealthy life. Either way, they'd serve as splendid pawns in getting her message across.

Orion

"As you say, my lady." Orion said with a smile, taking the controls and piloting under Liesa's astute directions. With her knowledge of the temple's layout it should be easy...

And it was. Traffic seemed conveniently uncongested around the Temple which made finding the North easter towers much easier than they might have been years ago. "I'm surprised that the Republic has been preserving the Temple rather than finding a practical use for it. It's a lovely monument, but I'd been under the impression that the Republic carried sentiment the way Gungans carried common sense..." Which was to be abandoned at the first sight of apparent opportunity.

"I suppose that just makes us the lucky ones." He finished, sitting up straight and putting his focus into finding either a suitable landing area or a discreet, and preferably shadowy -- because in the holos the best heros always have the most convenient shadowy areas for their intentions or identities, or both -- corner to leave the vessel in park. Fortunately, despite its higher altitudes, much of the North eastern Temple was shielded by the high winds by its own towers.

Not to mention he had a very bad feeling coming on. He was almost tempted to tell Liesa that they should turn around, but they'd come all this way... he wasn't turning back now.

"I wonder what we'll find!" He said excitedly, an attempt to stave off the feeling of forboding that was chilling his stomach, "Maybe some holocrons that were left behind in the library, or a vault of some kind... tell me, do those feminine Nubian whiles of yours work on security systems as well as they do on security guards?" Teasing, he unbuckled himself and stoof while extending a hand to his friend.

Sam

Ronyo smiled, of course he would smile, and Sam glanced back at Seron level a glare at him. As if she needed to be chided when her head was still splitting at the atomic level. Then she turned back to Ronyo, offered a half smile in return, and then hesitantly rested her eyes on Cole. It had been almost a lifetime since she'd seen him... and his being here presented a promising possibility. That is, if she could manage to avoid becoming entangled in anything even more from what she'd already been unwillingly involved in on Tython.

"Ronyo," She said, stepping forward finally and steeling herself against any lingering dizziness, "and Cole Barracks. Is it still Commander? I hope you forgive me if I am not up to date on how to address you, it's been quite some time since I was in a position to keep up on my extra-galactic politics." It was her best attempt at levity, though not entirely convincing, but given the company she highly doubted that anyone would give a second thought to the commentary. They both seemed pre-occupied enough with something else that they would probably skip right to the point.

So she decided to skip to the point for them.

"I hope I'm not under any sort of House arrest, Ronyo. I had my hopes set on a trip to Coruscant. Say..." She paused, gesturing to Cole, "That's where you're stationed, right? I mean, it was where you were stationed when I was still a member of the Jedi Order. I don't suppose you could find room for one or two more bodies on your return trip?" Avoiding Ronyo's gaze, Sam focused on Cole while waiting for what would hopefully be an assent.

Eden

"A favor." Eden repeats somewhat less apathetic than usual. "Now you have my attention, Maedris."

Eden set down the datapad she had been reviewing before Maedris' entrance onto an even larger assortment of datapads. Each of them was a report on another one of her gangs and, respectively, coded with a distinct language and encryption. Only one had her attention right at the moment, however...

"Hold that thought." She said, raising a finger to the Bimm and then switching on the holo-transmitter in the center of the room from her desk's console.

"" The Huttese voice growled, ""

"My most sincere apologies Vogga," Eden responded most insincere, and flashed a glance at Maedris to keep her silent. She wanted the Bimm to hear, not to speak."As your intelligent and cunning eminence must already know, I have had a busy day."

"" The booming voice was pleased, and Eden did her best to remain emotionless. ""

"There's no need, Voggo." Eden said curtly, waving at the Hutt's furrowed brow and discontented grumble. "The Jedi are here on invitation. Now, if you don't mind, I would hate to keep them waiting."

She ended it there and turned to Maedris. "Voggo the Hutt, fancies himself the acting leader of the Hutt gang on Nar Shaddaa even though he's not even a Desilijic. Likes to feel important because he was named for some big-shot Hutt from thousands of years ago or something like that... I'd like to kill him one day, but feeding that racial paranoia will have to do for now." As much as she enjoyed the Childkiller's services, Eden did not sell the Bimm short. Maedris was a girl with charm, but even more so the brains to turn that charm into a weapon. With the right information she was a natural-born Star Destroyer.

Plus one of few people she would ever trust with even trivial insights to the Black Sun's workings. Of course, her new relationship with the Sith... the only think Eden despised more than the Jedi was the Sith, and the closer Maedris got to them the more of a liability she was becoming.

Of course, that was a concern for a later date. Still maintaining her trademark cold, impassable expression, she continued, "You said something about information and a favor? Information first. Ask your favor while you're counting the credits for this last job." and then stood to get Maedris' pay from the other side of the room.

Mab

"You know..." Mab purrs, watching the shapely, red-leather bottom sashay its way across the room, "That skin-tight red leather was possibly one of my best ideas. Or was it yours? I forget..." Oblivious to the blonde's mood, her dispproval, and her apparent departure, the Anzat continues in a quiet, subdued tone. "I'm forgetting so much lately"

It could be because without Venia she's feeling lost and lonely, and somewhat dejected. It could be because she hasn't had a real feeding in days. It could be residual side-effects from her five-year starvation. Of course, it could simply be that she just felt so old lately.

"Sometimes I forget why we're even here."
Her voice was tiny then, both speaking to Irella and to Isani, thought hardly aware of either.

Isani wanted to blow something up and Irella wanted to stretch her legs. Both were feeling cramped, stifled, as Isani put it, bored. There was only one thing to do: "We have to wait for Venia." She said to both, again, then to Irella only, "Go for your 'walk' then, but know that I shall be very cross with you when you return. Leaving me all alone... I'll expect you to make it up to me."

Her selfish smile was cat-like, replacing the far-away loneliness that had spelled her a moment before, and the glint in her eye was nothing if not playful.

KNIGHT ARMINA RAHL -- cypher
nar shadda

--------------------------------------------

Mina's uneasy, and the scent of danger is in the air -- and there's a switch, a subtle change of stance, confidence and hardening of the eyes - something very unMina, something very Armina Rahl --

"It would appear we aren't quite welcome," Cypher says, a sudden coolness bring her tone past chilled and down to freezing. "Which is a pity, because I was feeling rather thirsty, you know." It's quite unlike Mina to be so coldly unruffled, her stance squared and confrontational, ready to take on the whole galaxy if need be -- quite unlike Mina

but quite like Cypher.

A hand strays towards the saber concealed at the small of her back.

LIESA fa NADLEN
coruscant

--------------------------------------------

The Nubian girl grins and slips past Orion's hand and out of the ship, landing on the rooftop softly and with hardly any noise at once. Immediately, she heads towards the glass walls of the greenhouse, pressing her ears to the transparent, thick material and pressing her hands against as if she could hear or feel the concealed entrance.

"Sure, Republic might not have sentiment -- but I hear they've had an alliance with the Jedi lately, and what are they if not sentimental?" Liesa asks rhetorically, pushing against the glass as she shuffles down --

and then there's a click and a five foot tall, three foot wide panel of glass slides into the ground. Liesa turns towards Orion triumphantly, stepping partway through the doorway. "Those secret holocrons await, you nonbeliever!" she crows.

MAEDRIS MARTYNS
nar shadda

--------------------------------------------

Mae frowns at the message- it mentions the Jedi she's here on business for, and she really hopes they aren't up to something supremely stupid. Jedi being Jedi however, they probably are. "Well, despite the fact that there were ******** complications - say, a Jedi-Sith confused idiot wielding a starscursed lightsaber - a certain Hutt was disposed of, and the blame was even laid at this... ******** interference's feet," Mae says briefly, with a shrug. With the information Whitesun undoubtedly already has, she can fill in the rest.

"As for that favor...," the Bimm begins, choosing her words carefully now. Whitesun's no fan of the Force, and hates the Sith even more than Jedi; Mae doesn't really understand -- the Sith are more lenient, and they pay. At the same time, they are completely unstable assholes. "On occasion, I help a certain Sith out with some information, and she in turn helps a certain ******** straight up of her rocker Sith out with a shitton more information. Story short, they are interested in a pair of Jedi - who happen to here looking for your help - and getting the pair killed and or captured. One of them's a diplomat. Win-win - for them, and for you. Weakened Republic-Jedi relations, and s**t. And who knows, in the end they might just end up killing each ******** other and then we'd be left to do honest business alone in ******** peace... wanna help them?"

ISANI LOREN
in slightly less bored oblivion

--------------------------------------------

Patience is a virtue, a voice sings, like bells, in her memory, teasing, light as the air she breathes --

"If we wait much longer," Isani bites out, "Something's going to happen and I refuse to be held accountable." And it's true. Here with nothing but quiet soldiers and an empty stronghold, an absent Dark Lady and very little interaction with something - anything - to distract her Isani is slowly losing her precarious balance on that edge -

Patience, Isani -- didn't you ever learn it? Light as air.

Isani stands straight, the chair forced backwards, falling over from the force with which she stood. She paces a step, two steps, before she stops herself and stalks towards the wall, towards a tall window and stares out it without staring at anything. Maybe her own reflection, semi-clear in the glass.

Don't think of it as waiting... think of it as - as growing! Like bells -- "Something better happen soon," Isani mutters, to Mab, to her hazy reflection.

Irella al-Meara

PostPosted: Sat Mar 10, 2012 4:24 pm

Irella stopped by the door, her hand against the wall, waiting just above the controls. She smiled at the comment of her new apparel. She couldn't agree more. She had felt goofy in that uniform she had arrived in, something that had shown strongly in her demeanor at the time, but this had brought back some of her confidence. It made her look more dangerous, threatening, as well seductive with the way the armor showed off her figure. She now carried that confidence strongly in her stride, plus, she liked having the Anzat watching her.

Irella turned her head as Mab's mood suddenly turned somewhat somber. It was a side she wasn't used to seeing from the Anzat and for a moment she contemplated on if she should stay in the room for now, to help take her mind off of such dreary thoughts. But then that came up again.

"We have to wait for Venia."

Immediately Irella's waiting hand flicked over the switch on the panel and the door slid open before her, granting her access to the halls. She stepped outside, sighing softly to herself before turning back one more time to reply the Anzat's last few words.

"I won't be too long, then." She said, a hint of mischief in her smile.

She then walked away, hips swaying, as the door closed slowly behind her. As she walked down the hallway, now all alone, her own thoughts drifted off to think of Venia. She remembered this woman, all too well from quite a few years ago, back when she had unwillingly served under the name of Visum. Would she know why Irella had woken on the Corruo, when she was sure she had died. Then again, not that she wasn't glad to have somehow survived through that ordeal with the brood, but did it even matter now?

She sighed and cleared her mind on the matter, folding her hands behind her back as she wandered through the halls. She doubted Venia would ever show up at all, everything about her whereabouts had been kept vague. Irella didn't trust it for a bit. Perhaps she could convince Mab to leave this place, she pondered, though for now, she was content to move around and stretch her legs for a bit. At least she couldn't say her stay was in any way boring. Just confining.

Missing Score, Hangar Bay

Saul stared at blonde woman slowly stepping out of the sheep, his gaze unwavering. Her sarcasm did not faze him.

"Secure her," Saul ordered.

Two of the troopers shouldered their weapons and rushed her. One would try to put cuffs around her wrists and the other would pat her down.

Tython

Cole fixed his gaze squarely on the newly arrived Jedi. His antenna twitched when she nonchalantly asked to be taken to Coruscant.

"" Cole reported. "Grand Master...>"

Cole gestured to Ronyo with his antennae, but kept his face squarely fixated on Sam-El Joelk.

"" Cole added, responding to her request for transit. ""

Zietta? Of course she knew. Zietta is a hutt. She didn't know any species nearly as paranoid as a hutt. "Dont tell me your thinking what I think your thinking. Because if you are, I'm going to stop you right where you are. Why on earth would you want to break into her palace? You cant even walk at the moment. You would hardly be capable of fighting anyone in your condition, let alone sneaking around."

She backs away from him. Not to get away, but simply to get her body moving. "And besides, give me one good reason I shouldnt turn you in for the very nice reward? After all, I am in need of some new weapons since you so kindly disposed of my own."

Point Nadir, Advent

"Look..."

Kal sighed and took in a deep breath. All he needed to give her was the supposition and she'd be hooked.

"Zietta Anjiliac has a modern and efficient holorecorder system," Kal began. "Each recorder is equipped with memory expanding recording rods, and all the data they receive is immediately recorded onto datapads. Each datapad can store up to 12 hours of information. The holorecording system logs each datapad for time and date. The datapads are hooked up to a portable storage facility."

Kal paused for emphasis. The woman had to see where he was going with this now.

"Each datapad can be easily retrieved," Kal explained. "Any computer with standard ports will be able to access the digital information. You can help me prove that I didn't kill Pendal. And why would you do that, you ask? For the investment, of course. You'd get a lot more from helping me then you would out of this bounty reward, especially since I'm the Hutt won't pay you your dues if I escape while you're still in the palace.

"Hutts are paranoid, not without reason, of course,"
Kal continued. "They certainly have their list of enemies in the galaxy, but there lies the question, doesn't it? Why would a race so paranoid about their enemies, who were so involved with questionable dialogue and activity, record their every move?"

Kal gestured for the woman to answer his question. The ease of stealing these datapads lay within the correct answer.

Kennero

Kennero almost laughs... that is, until he repeats Mina's sentence in his own head. He turns to look at her and pauses at the look in her eye, a familiar look but one he can't quite place... and then his force sense flashes at the back of his mind and he's ducking out of the way from what would have been an opportune time to strike. It instead became an unfortunate blunder, the attacker's wrist caught in the Falleen's strong grip, and an ugly break as Kennero bent the arm back into a sickening crack and small spray of blood.

Motion erupted around him then as he threw the screaming man into the counter next to Mina and turned to face the next attack. A blaster aimed at him, easily grabbed with the force and countered with a force push, and then...

A small, sharp pain in the side of his neck. He ignored it at first, twisting to avoid the dangerous end of a dull dagger, but when he reached for the windpipe of the dagger's wielder it never came. Instead of the force a rush of nausea and blurry vision flooded his senses and he stumbled forward, another flash of pain as he felt the dagger bury itself into his stomach, and then he was on his knees.

Trying with all his strength to stand, to feel Mina with his senses, to get to Mina, he did rise, but at the hands of another. He could feel the fist buried in his hair dragging him to his feet, smell something decaying on the breath of whoever held him, and heard some garbled, back-world language, but a large fist burying itself into his face stopped him from making sense of any of it.
