Adaleide WilliamsDon't mess with me. — Slytherin ; Sixth Year Adaleide snorted as she approached the horde of students staring wide-eyed at the sphinx. She couldn't believe they would get so excited over such a hideous beast. Then, out of the corner of her eye she caught something a little more appealing. A young boy had approached the... sphinx and challenged it. So he had guts. Now she was about to find out if he had brains too.

Herzog's eyebrows knitted closer together in concentration. Generally, he added a little of his own finesse to everything he said and did, but this case would seem to be an exception. If he wanted to test the complexity of his riddle, he'd have to play by the sphinx's rules. Without any witty retorts or astute observations, he recited his riddle once more.
"My image divine, My words obscure, My wrath finite, My body impure. What am I?"
He didn't blink as he gazed at the sphinx, completely focused and waiting for a reply. Would it work?

Professor Kalle Ithilwen | Vice-Captain | Care Of Magical Creatures Kalle's eyes lit up at the sound of the riddle. It was indeed challenging, and she wondered if Tûrwen would be able to answer. Sh glanced over to meet the Sphinx's eyes. They were clouded with thought as she delved into the meaning of the riddle. Slowly they cleared, and she smirked at the young Ravenclaw. 'Why, it is me, a sphinx,' she purred. 'I congratulate you on your originality.' Kalle turned to Herzog and smiled. Although the Sphinx was able to solve the riddle, she knew it was a worthy one, and he had proven himself a Ravenclaw.
{ I have posted the test on the first page. Send it to me in a letter! }

Herzog lifted his chin up. He wasn't sure whether or not he'd done well, but on the off chance that he'd just embarrassed himself, he didn't want to appear defeated. Giving the sphinx a polite nod, he turned on heel and strode back to his spot among the group. He began scribbling once again in his notebook. Whether he succeeded or failed, he was sure he'd made his fair share of enemies that day.

Meiko half-smiled, seeing that a fellow Ravenclaw had some unique wisdom in him. She returned to her notebook, continuing to write notes.

Still thinking about his time with Al as he arrived for the test, Drago didn't notice Sparrow in front of him and ran into her, nocking her to the ground. "oh! I'm sorry. I didn't notice you there, are you ok?" Drago asked holding out his hand to help her up, hoping she wasn't mad.

Adaleide WilliamsDon't mess with me. — Slytherin ; Sixth Year Adaleide narrowed her eyes and watched the boy. The way the riddle seemed to roll off his tongue was mesmerixing, whether the sphinx was able to answer it or not. She walked nearer and stood in front of him. "Nice riddle," she said with a smirk playing on her dark lips.

Gryffindor Prefect Sparrow----Gryffindor ----3rdyear Gryffinclaw Quidditch Captain And Seeker
Out of nowhere Sparrow felt something collide with her back and she fell over. Sparrow looked up to find Drago apologizing for knocking her over. She accepted his hand to help her up and said, "That's alright Drago. Accidents happen. Just watch out where you're going next time." She smiled as she said this and dusted off the dirt from her robes.

Herzog looked up from his journal. He gave a half grin and raised an eyebrow. "Glad you think so. Although I doubt I'll be doing so again. If you haven't noticed, this class isn't exactly the most forgiving audience."

After apologizing to Sparrow, Drago went to a spot to write his sphinx test. After working on the test after an hour, he finally finished it and rushed back to the gryffindor common room, hoping Al was there.

Professor Kalle Ithilwen | Vice-Captain | Care Of Magical Creatures Kalle nodded at Ava and Caiden before turning and bowing to Tûrwen. 'Manor,' she said in a hushed voice. Tûrwen stood and nodded toward the three students, her eyes narrowed slightly at Ava. It was the first time in her life she had been challenged and lost. With one final glance at the young Slytherin, she turned and stepped slowly into the shadow of the forest.
Kalle smiled and glanced at each student. 'Manor to you all as well. I look forward to seeing you next year,' she said in a hushed voice before walking into the forest after the Sphinx.
{ Yes, I am afraid class is over for me as well. Goodbye everyone! }
